Tiger and Bunny takes place in the fictional city of Sternbild, where a number of years ago people called Next possessing superhuman abilities started manifesting themselves. At the present some of these individuals work as corporate sponsored superheroes and their activities are documented by a popular reality TV show called HeroTV, wherein they are awarded points and ranked in order of their performance. The main focus of the story is on two of the heroes, the veteran Kotetsu T. Kaburagi aka Wild Tiger and the newcomer Barnaby Brooks Jr., as they solve their differences and learn to work together.

In the prosperous kingdom of Pars lies the Royal Capital of Ecbatana, a city of splendor and wonder, ruled by the undefeated and fearsome King Andragoras. Arslan is the young and curious prince of Pars who, despite his best efforts, doesn't seem to have what it takes to be a proper king like his father. At the age of 14, Arslan goes to his first battle and loses everything as the blood-soaked mist of war gives way to scorching flames, bringing him to face the demise of his once glorious kingdom. However, it is Arslan's destiny to be a ruler, and despite the trials that face him, he must now embark on a journey to reclaim his fallen kingdom.

The series starts off at a tournament where a one armed samurai faces a blind one and quickly flashes back to reveal the history between the two fighters.

Together with their own officers, the Yellow Turban rebellion was quickly laid to rest and each of the men involved immediately gained popularity and power with the people. As their powers grew, however, each continued to seek more control of their territories and to unite all of China under one rule. One fought for hegemony. One fought for ambition. One fought for righteousness. Veteran officers and generals who shared the same visions swarmed under each leader. These stalwart souls waged war across the vast expanse of the land and, like blood thirsty demons, cut down any and all that stood in their way. Thus, the romance of the Three Kingdoms begins . . .

This thirteen-part Japanese television series is based on a series of Japanese novels, and is notable among other things for its inclusion of elements from the Dungeons & Dragons (TM) role-playing game.

For example, one is a commando, another is a bomber, the next is a professional sniper and such. Jormungand focuses on the travelling arms dealer Koko Hekmatyar that is a genius for a reason.

When she was still just a girl, Kotoko was kidnapped by the spirits that asked her to become a mediator between the two worlds, as well as the Goddess of Wisdom for these spirits. However, power always comes with a price: an eye and a leg. Now, years later, watching out for dangerous spirits, helping the good spirits, Kotoko meets a mysterious young man named Kurou and immediately takes an interest in him. How can spirits be afraid of a single human and what secrets does Kurou hide?

Ronin Akitsu Masanosuke is a skilled swordsman, but his personality often causes him to be let go from his job. One day he encounters Yaichi, the leader of a group calling itself "Five Leaves" and takes a job from him as a bodyguard. Though he is worried about the intentions of the group, he feels there is something more to the group and reluctantly agrees to work with them.
