Chrno Crusade, Vol. 1
If you are looking for a phenomenal manga to read, your search ends here. The art is amazing. The scenes are beautiful, and the details are very well done. Moriyama is incredibly talented. The characters are a bit cliche, but lovable. I am not usually one to become emotionally attached to characters, but those of Chrono Crusade quickly changed that. Each character has obvious flaws and strong points. If you don't separate reality's idea of the Christian church from the manga's idea of it, you will probably not enjoy the series. The author completely changes the idea of Christianity and Catholicism and uses them as a platform for exorcism and demon-hunting. As a Christian, this bothered me at first, and made the start of the series somewhat confusing, but I soon learned that I had to look at the manga as a separate reality.I was so involved in this story that I vaguely recall possibly crying at the end. What an endearing tale this turned out to be. Chrono Crusade is my favorite manga of all time.As a side note, I did not like the anime nearly as much.
