Humans are a Canadian indie electronic pop duo.

Vancouver's Robbie Slade and Peter Ricq met in 2008, and started making music together in the summer of 2009. They released a demo album in 2009. In 2010, the duo released their first EP called Avec Mes Mecs, and produced a video for its title track. Promotion through BIRP (an indie music blog & monthly playlist) along with fan-made videos ushered in the release of the official video in 2011.

Following up Avec Mes Mecs, the duo released their sophomore EP called Traps in 2012. The release received high praise from publications such as DJ Mag, Exclaim!, and Resident Advisor. A video for the song "Horizon" was premiered on Spinner.

Jack Colleran, known professionally as MMOTHS, is an Irish electronic musician.

Charlie Yin, better known by his stage name Giraffage, is an American electronic music record producer. Yin, who is of Taiwanese descent, grew up in San Jose, California, and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in political economics before pursuing his musical career. Most recently Yin has collaborated with other electronic music producers, including Porter Robinson. As Giraffage, Yin regularly performs at venues in his native San Francisco Bay Area and has performed both independently and along with other artists across the world.

In addition to numerous remixes of various pop and R&B tracks, Giraffage has produced three full-length studio albums, including Comfort in 2011, and Needs in 2013. His last EP, No Reason, was released on November 18, 2014.

Neural oscillations, or brainwaves, are rhythmic or repetitive patterns of neural activity in the central nervous system. Neural tissue can generate oscillatory activity in many ways, driven either by mechanisms within individual neurons or by interactions between neurons. In individual neurons, oscillations can appear either as oscillations in membrane potential or as rhythmic patterns of action potentials, which then produce oscillatory activation of post-synaptic neurons. At the level of neural ensembles, synchronized activity of large numbers of neurons can give rise to macroscopic oscillations, which can be observed in an electroencephalogram. Oscillatory activity in groups of neurons generally arises from feedback connections between the neurons that result in the synchronization of their firing patterns. The interaction between neurons can give rise to oscillations at a different frequency than the firing frequency of individual neurons. A well-known example of macroscopic neural oscillations is alpha activity.

Blood diamonds are diamonds mined in a war zone and sold to finance an insurgency, an invading army's war efforts, terrorism, or a warlord's activity. The term is used to highlight the negative consequences of the diamond trade in certain areas, or to label an individual diamond as having come from such an area. Diamonds mined during the 20th–21st century civil wars in Angola, Ivory Coast, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Guinea, and Guinea-Bissau have been given the label. The term conflict resource refers to analogous situations involving other natural resources. Blood diamonds can also be smuggled by organized crime syndicates so that they could be sold on the black market.

Marcel Everett (born October 31, 1995), better known as XXYYXX, is an electronic musician and record producer from Orlando, Florida, formerly signed to the label Relief in Abstract.

His style is likened to Clams Casino, Zomby, Burial, James Blake and The Weeknd. His musical influences include Lapalux, Star Slinger, Disclosure and Shlohmo.

Everett released the 'Still Sound' mixtape in 2011. The next year at 16 years of age he would release his self-titled album, which included the hit 'About You' and gained him prominence within the indie music culture in late 2013.

Everett has remixed for artists such as Tinashe and Usher. In 2014, he created the song "What We Want" for the video game Grand Theft Auto V. This song was included for the expanded soundtrack that was a part of the re-release of the game on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 systems. He headlined the San Francisco Noise Pop Festival in February 2013.

Hugo Manuel, better known by his stage name Chad Valley, is an English electronic recording artist and singer. He has released two EPs, various singles and three full-length albums, Young Hunger, Entirely New Blue and Imaginary Music in 2018.

Will Wiesenfeld (born April 16, 1989), better known by his stage name Baths, is an American electronic musician. He was born in the Tarzana neighborhood of Los Angeles and was raised in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles. He currently resides in Culver City, Los Angeles, California. Southern California Public Radio described him as "LA's big new electronica musician" in 2010. Previously signed with Anticon, he now releases music through his own label Basement's Basement.

Will Wiesenfeld is a classically trained musician, and began learning the piano at the age of four "to compete with his brother". By twelve he had "completely abandoned it," but continual musical experimenting led him to record his first piece of music at age fourteen. He released a few projects, including an album entitled The Fabric, as his previous moniker, [Post-foetus]. He also ventured into a more ambient style with side-project Geotic, which Irish magazine State.ie called "gorgeous".

Purity Ring is a Canadian electronic pop band from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, formed in 2010. The band consists of multi-instrumentalist/producer Corin Roddick and vocalist Megan James. They released their debut album Shrines in 2012 to critical acclaim, followed by Another Eternity in 2015 and Womb in 2020. The band released an EP, Graves, on June 3, 2022.

Bill Majoros is a Canadian musician, currently a songwriter, lead vocalist and multi-instrumentalist for the psychedelic pop act The Foreign Films.

Wonder Girl is the alias of multiple superheroines featured in comic books published by DC Comics. Donna Troy, the original Wonder Girl, was created by Bob Haney and Bruno Premiani and first appeared in The Brave and the Bold #60. The second Wonder Girl, Cassie Sandsmark, was created by John Byrne and first appeared in Wonder Woman #105. Both are protégées of Wonder Woman and members of different incarnations of the Teen Titans. The alias has also been used in reference to a younger version of Wonder Woman as a teenager. In the 2020s, DC introduced a third Wonder Girl in Yara Flor, who hails from a Brazilian tribe of Amazons and was shown in a flashforward to one day succeed Diana as Wonder Woman.

Ryan Hemsworth (born 23 April 1990) is a Canadian record producer and DJ. He specialises in electronic music and sampling. He has produced tracks for Tinashe, Tory Lanez, Mitski, and E-40.

Raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Hemsworth attended University of King's College, where he studied journalism.

In 2011, Hemsworth released a collaborative album with Shady Blaze, titled Distorted. His 2013 album, Guilt Trips, was released by Last Gang Records. It won the 2014 Juno Award for Electronic Album of the Year. In 2014, he released an album, Alone for the First Time, which was placed at number 3 on CMJ's "30 Best Albums of 2014" list. In 2015, he released a collaborative EP with Lucas, titled Taking Flight.

English Evenings were a British new wave and synth-pop duo that formed in 1983. They released their sole studio album, After Dark, in 1985 but it was not a commercial success, and after a subsequent single a year later that also failed to make any commercial impact they broke up.

Before English Evenings, Lee Walsh was a member of the band Sly Fox, whose name later changed to One Adult. After the band broke up and with its members going their separate ways, Walsh secured a record deal under the name of English Evenings, together with bandmate Graham Lee. They released only one album in 1985, on the UK independent label Safari Records. Although their producer was the famous audio engineer and producer Phil Harding, they did not meet with much success.

LCD Soundsystem is the debut studio album by American rock band LCD Soundsystem. It was released on January 24, 2005, jointly through DFA and Capitol Records in the United States and EMI elsewhere. The album encompasses genres that range from dance-punk to electronica to indie rock to dance music. The album was critically acclaimed upon release and was nominated for the 2006 Grammy Award for Best Electronic/Dance Album. Many singles were released to promote the album, including the band's breakout "Daft Punk Is Playing at My House", which reached number one on the UK Dance Chart in March, 2005.

Future Classic is an Australian independent record label, artist management team, touring agency, and music publisher that was founded in 2004.

Hundred Waters is an American band formed in Gainesville, Florida in October 2011, composed of Nicole Miglis, Trayer Tryon and Zach Tetreault. The group came to prominence in 2012 with the release of their first self-titled album and an unexpected partnership with Skrillex's predominantly electronic Owsla record label. Hundred Waters wrote and produced most of their second album, The Moon Rang Like a Bell, while on tour with alt-J, The xx, Julia Holter and others; it was released on May 27, 2014.

French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts, is a private, co-educational performing and visual arts camp for youth aged 7 to 17. Located in Hancock, New York, French Woods is among the most prestigious summer arts programs in the United States. Established in 1970, it is one of the oldest individual-choice summer camps in the United States.

In 1964 in Tampa, Florida, the band, The Tropics, emerged by Buddy Pendergrass along with Wayne Guida, Ronnie Ferer, and Spencer Hinkle. Not long after, the Tropics began to perform all over Florida and the Southeastern US where they toured alongside The Who, The Young Rascals, Herman's Hermits, and Heinz Heinz & Dad. In 1966 they won the International Battle of the Bands, signed a recording contract with Columbia Records, and quickly became the top pop rock-band in the Southeastern.

The group's founder, Buddy Pendergrass put together a seven-piece horn band in 1964 with Wayne Guida on trumpet, Ronnie Ferrer on tenor sax and Spencer Hinkle on drums, playing at all the local Tampa area recreation venues.
