Kagrra, was a Japanese visual kei folk rock band. They were originally signed to the now defunct Key Party Records under the name "Crow". The group changed its name when they signed to PS Company in 2000.
Velvet Eden es un grupo de música electrónica, Industrial, Darkwave y rock japonés. Con toques góticos y con una elaborada estética visual, desde sus inicios esta banda vio su imagen como algo que no podía separarse de su música, y aunque sufrió varios cambios de miembros este concepto se supo mantener siempre con el vocalista Dada como estandarte, quien es el único miembro que permaneció en toda la trayectoria de la banda. El nombre Velvet Eden viene de una colección de fotos pornográficas prohibida en la Francia de la década de 1930, lo cual Dada aseguró no saber nada de dicho Álbum Pornográfico.
En 1998, Dada como cantante y escritor de las letras y su pareja Kalm al teclado, programación y composición de la música, decidieron montar un dúo musical. Al principio solían usar un guitarrista colaborador en los recitales. Así, la música en esta primera etapa era electrónica.
Kisaki is a Japanese musician who has worked with several visual kei bands, including La:Sadie's, Syndrome, Kisaki Project and Phantasmagoria. Besides playing bass and keyboards and composing music, he also works as a producer, previously for the Matina label and currently for Under Code Production. In 2008, when Phantasmagoria broke up, Kisaki once announced his retirement as a musician. However, in 2010, he announced that he was ending his retirement and debuted his new band, Lin -the End of Corruption World .

Vidoll was a Japanese visual kei rock band formed in 2002. Their concept was "Occult Romance". After going major, they had several top 40 singles before disbanding in 2011.
D'espairsRay (formerly stylized as DéspairsRay or +DéspairsRay+) was a Japanese visual kei rock band active from 1999 to 2011. The lineup of Hizumi on vocals, Karyu on guitar, Zero on bass and Tsukasa on drums remained the same, with the group having released four full-length records, three EPs and thirteen singles. Outside Japan, D'espairsRay have toured Europe and North America and had domestic releases in those territories.
They performed at the Wacken Open Air festival in 2006, to several thousand people, and a second album, titled Mirror was released on April 11, 2007. They also performed during Jrock Revolution 2007 held on Memorial Weekend in Los Angeles, California. In 2008 they performed at the Taste of Chaos tour in the United States.
Rice are a Japanese visual kei rock band formed by ex-Raphael members Yuki and Hiro. Like Raphael, a lot of rice's music is in the rock genre although instead of guitar the cello is a much more prominent instrument in their work.
Kaya (迦夜) is a Japanese visual kei musician, a vocalist of the electro/darkwave duo Schwarz Stein, and a former vocalist of the bands Meties and Isola under the alias of Hime. He is also known for his androgynous appearance.
Masaki Haruna (春名 真樹, Haruna Masaki), aka Klaha (born March 3, 1973), is a Japanese singer-songwriter. He was the third vocalist for visual kei rock band Malice Mizer.
His first band was the new wave group Pride of Mind, active from 1992-1996. He first played with Malice Mizer in 2000, on their single "Shiroi Hada ni Kuruu Ai to Kanashimi no Rondo", providing vocals, although he was credited as "Fourth blood relative". He then provided vocals on their album Bara no Seidou. A year after Malice Mizer, Klaha started a solo career, but with a drastic change of style he performed pop music. After a live appearance in April 2004, Klaha's releases and performances stopped without explanation. In 2007, he stated that he would be returning that year, but nothing happened and no information has been given since his abrupt leave in 2004.
Phantasmagoria was a visual kei rock band formed in November 2004 in Osaka, Japan by Kisaki, the executive of Under Code Production, a popular independent label.
Közi is a Japanese musician, singer-songwriter and DJ. He is best known as one of the guitarists for the 1990s visual kei rock band Malice Mizer. After they went on indefinite hiatus in 2001, he formed the industrial rock duo Eve of Destiny and also started a solo career. Közi is currently in the bands Dalle, XA-VAT, ZIZ and Vamquet, while occasionally performing solo shows.
During his time in Malice Mizer, Közi often assumed the role of a pierrot doll, dressing in clown-like costumes with large ruffs, always in shades of red, his favorite color. In music videos and on-stage he would often make movements reminiscent of a marionette. Közi has continued this visual style to some extent, but his contemporary stage costumes are more gothic. His work on the Izayoi no Tsuki project was reminiscent of carnival music, and artwork for his projects usually follow a dramatic, theatrical theme. Very few details about his private life are known.
Gakuto Oshiro , better known by his mononymous stage name Gackt, is a Japanese musician, singer, songwriter, record producer and actor.
Psycho le Cému is a Japanese visual kei rock band formed in 1999. Its members are Aya, Daishi, Lida, Seek, and Yura-sama (Yuraサマ). Psycho le Cému distinguished themselves in the visual kei scene via their cosplay, with their members dressing in colorful, extravagant outfits inspired by anime and video game characters.

The Candy Spooky Theater was a Japanese visual kei rock band, who debuted in 2005 with the single "Pumpkins Scream in the Dead of Night Parade". The band was made up of three members: Jack Spooky, Kal Bone Jr., and Peggy Giggles, and their music was driven by Tim Burton-like horror influences under the concept of "Comical Horror Halloween Party".
D is a Japanese visual kei metal/rock band formed in 2003 by Asagi, Ruiza and Sin, after their previous band Syndrome disbanded. D's music includes heavy guitar songs, as well as melancholic ballads and even medieval music and folk dance from around the world. Their lyrics focus on love, human nature and esoteric themes, such as spirituality and the relationship between persons and nature, and their costumes are closely related to the stories they tell. Their styling matches their music: fantastical, gothic and elegant.
Rentrer en Soi was a Japanese visual kei rock band active from 2001 to 2008. In French, the band's name can be literally translated as "to enter in yourself/entering yourself" although this is not grammatically correct. The band was composed of five members, and had seen only one member change.
