A community is rattled when a politician's son, who was presumed murdered years ago, returns home.

This Netflix Original drama is the latest installment in the classic Japanese horror franchise Ju-on. This time, a paranormal investigator's data reveals an eerie connection between a string of horrifying incidents that occurred between 1958 and 1997: they all stemmed from the same house. Set over the course of 40 years, the series explores the nature of these incidents, building on the established premise of the Ju-on movies and cranking up the terror to new heights. With references to actual tragedies in Japan's recent past, it offers fresh scares unlike anything J-horror fans have witnessed before.

Kusano has a bright future with his fancy university degree and new job. yet, it is not to be. The blood sucking financial giant which he works at goes broke and leaves him on the pavement. When it rains it pours and his father becomes ill and needs care and money. He also has his own debts. Needing cash, he searches for and finds a job rather quickly. The job, however, is illegitimate and involves undesirable activity. What is a man to do?

Kanako, a beautiful girl and one of the best students at school, goes missing with all the belongings left behind in her room. Her father Akikazu is now asked by his ex-wife to look for their daughter. He starts a desperate search of Kanako using any means, in the hope of getting his "ideal" family back in place despite the fact that the very reason of the family breakup was because of his problematic personality and behaviors. Following tracks of her past and present and talking to her "friends," he starts to get to know his daughter whom he never knew or didn't even attempt to know. When Akikazu is led to one clue, he realizes the world Kanako was facing beyond his imagination... Can the father find his daughter, and get back his perfect happy family he has dreamed of after all these years?

After one of their friends commits suicide, strange things begin happening to a group of young Tokyo residents. One of them sees visions of his dead friend in the shadows on the wall, while another's computer keeps showing strange, ghostly images. Is their friend trying to contact them from beyond the grave, or is there something much more sinister going on?
