For most of his life, Iga Kagemaru has lived in the mountains with his grandfather, the tough martial arts teacher Seizo Kagemaru. When his grandfather unexpectedly passes away, he is taken in by Seizo's first love, Ran Ookobo, who runs a school in Tokyo. Iga arrives in Tokyo and must deal with living in a town and attending a school for the first time, and all the trials and tribulations it brings - bullies, rivalries, romances and having to deal with an old friend who is reluctantly acting as his foe. Can he manage to survive in Tokyo?

Kyousuke Kasuga is a completely normal Japanese high school student, with two very big problems. The classic novel by Victor Hugo returns to the world of Japanese anime in Nippon Animation's 52-episode adaptation "Les Misérables: Shoujo Cosette". The plot shifts its focus to include the story of Cosette, the illegitimate daughter of Fantine, from her early days with the Thénardiers while her mother works in another town. At the same time, the enigmatic Monsieur Madeleine, who is secretly the ex-convict Jean Valjean, is trying to live an honest life as the beneficent mayor of the same town Fantine works in. Both Valjean and Cosette's lives drastically change as the Thénardiers show their true colors and Inspector Javert arrives in town, posing a potential threat to Madeleine's freedom. This adaptation follows Hugo's story with relative faithfulness, given its young audience, limited running time and moments of artistic license.

Based off of the video game, on an island off the coast of Japan, Ryu, a martial artist, was given an invitation and some American money from his friend Ken Masters, telling him to come to the United States. Ryu arrives in San Francisco and Ken picks him up from the airport. Only to find out that Ken is rich and a defined martial artist himself. One night both Ryu and Ken were out scouting San Francisco for bars. Then, Ken flirts with somebody's girlfriend and gets into a fight. Ken has defeated the person. Only to find out that it was a partner of Air force pilot Guile. Ryu fights him, but was defeated easily. Ken then finds Guile and was too defeated. Ken then realizes that guile was a fighter of thew likes that Ryu and Ken has not seen before, Guile was a Street Fighter. So, both Ryu and Ken decided to set out to the world to learn the ways of the street fighter. Then, they get tangled up into a conspiracy involving a criminal organization.

In the 21st century, a nuclear war turned most of the Earth's surface into a desert wasteland, which also resulted in the contamination of the Earth's water supply. A man named Sanga has built the fortified haven of the "Last Land", where he rules as its dictator by monopolizing the city's uncontaminated water supply. When he learns that the neighboring residents of Freedom Village are trying to dig up a well for their own, Sanga sends his underlings to sabotage their effort. Kenshiro, master of Hokuto Shinken, gets involved in the conflict between the two regions after saving Tobi, an informant hired by Freedom Village.

A girl named Miaka Yuuki and her friend Yui Hongo are taken into the book called The Universe of the Four Gods. There they battle many hardships including each other in order to become the priestess of Suzaku and Seiryuu and summon them. What they didn't expect was to fall in love and watch their comrades die.

Young girl wakes up with no memory. She sees a floating spirit who tells her that her amnesia is his fault and that she just plays along and acts normally while he helps her gain her memory back. She tries, but it's not easy.

Hitomi is a girl with psychic abilities who gets transported to the magical world of Gaea. She and her friends find themselves under attack from the evil Zaibach empire, and the Guymelf Escaflowne provides the key to it all.

On the cursed island continent of Lodoss, a party of adventurers becomes caught up in the struggle against a plot to conquer Lodoss and revive a long-dormant ancient evil deity. This thirteen-part Japanese television series is based on a series of Japanese novels, and is notable among other things for its inclusion of elements from the Dungeons & Dragons (TM) role-playing game.

This animation series follows the childhood "adventures" of a girl named Heidi, who lives with her grandfather somewhere on the Alps.
