-Not looking deeper into the Barbican’s family film festival when it was my only chance to see The Princess and the Frog before 2010

I made a vow that I'd steer clear of going overboard in my cinema diet and ensure that my 2020 diary would end up less than 200 entries long after hitting that record two years running, but err, *nervous laughter*, this is a bit much, don't you think?

The year I was introduced to film festivals, was welcomed back to where the Museum of the Moving Image once stood and almost made a new home in the smelliest cinema nearby, before discovering what multiplex I should have been visiting all along.

My trips to the cinema 2018
It’s my 25th year of existence. I survived the chaos. I can travel by myself on the overground, the underground and the bus. I know how to get myself to the ICA, I thirst for celluloid more than ever before, I have a lifetime membership at the Prince Charles Cinema and the BFI Southbank is screening animation all year round. Also, the cinema at my favourite shopping centre now has reclining seats.
Right.
Let’s do this.
