Monsters
1988
"Monsters" was a non-hosted horror anthology series which ran from 1988 to 1991. The show would start with a family of monsters watching a different horror story every week on their television. Each tale is separate, often cautionary with occasional dark humor and irony and features various deadly creatures. The series has featured cameos from celebrities including: Kaye Ballard, Linda Blair, Laura Branigan, Imogene Coca, Troy Donahue, Farley Granger, Pam Grier, Deborah Harry, Meat Loaf, David McCallum, Anne Meara, Jerry Stiller, Wil Wheaton.

Werewolf

Young Eric has been bitten by a werewolf. However, he's not particularly thrilled by this turn of affairs and wishes to escape his curse. To do so, he must find and kill the founder of his particular werewolf clan. The series traces his efforts to (A) track down the founder; (B) keep from hurting innocent lives due to his lycanthropy; and (C) stay one step ahead of folks who wish to kill him due to his werewolf nature.

Good vs Evil

Chandler Smythe, a reporter, is killed be a demonic-looking gang member. He awakens in a police interrogation room and is offered the chance to join "the Corps," a group of heavenly agents who struggle against the Faustians (folks who make a deal with the devil) and Morlocks (what the Faustians become when their deal falls through). He teams up with Henry MacNeil, a black man from the 70's. Together they travel the streets of Hollywood (a center of demonic activity, naturally), fighting evil.

20 minutes into the future, the world has become imbued network-television. It's illegal to turn off your TV, and televisions are given to the needy. In this world, Network 23 has a highly-rated news program with a roving reporter named Edison Carter. But Carter uncovers a plot to cover up lethal "blipverts" and is almost killed. In the process his mind is copied into a computer and the computer-generated personality "Max Headroom" is born. Together, Max and Edison, along with Edison's controller (Theora), their boss (Murray), their boss' boss (Ben Cheviot), and Network 23's boy-genius (Bryce) combat crime, placate sponsors, defeat rival networks, and turn in stories. 14 episodes.

War of the Worlds

At the end of the 1953 film "War of the World", earth is saved from alien invaders when they are apparently killed by common bacteria. However, what if the aliens weren't really dead? In "War of the Worlds" the aliens from the 1953 invasion are brought out of suspended animation when radiation kills the infecting bacteria. Now the aliens launch a genocidal war against an unsuspecting Earth, using their ability to take over human bodies to allow them to move freely. Dr. Harrison Blackwood teams up with microbiologist Suzanne McCullough, computer programmer Norton Drake, and army Lt. Colonel Paul Ironhorse to save the world from this alien menace. In the second season, Harrison and Suzanne are joined by mercenary John Kincaid, who help them fight in a post-apocalyptic urban wasteland against a second wave of invaders dedicated to the death of all life on earth.

John Peter Macallister was a Korean veteran who, after serving, decided to live in Japan, and, while there, he studied Ninjitsu and became a Ninja. Thirty years later, he learned that he has a daughter, so left to find her. Apparently, though, he can't leave the sect that he is with, because it means that he is now marked for death. He manages to escape, and, upon arriving in the States, he meets Max Keller, a drifter who has a penchant for getting involved with other people's problems and helping them out if he can. Max and Macallister hook up, with Max helping Macallister find his daughter, and Macallister teaching him the ways of the ninja. At the same time, evading Okasa, one of Macallister's students, who is now sworn to kill him.

And the natives (run by an autocratic dictator) aren't very friendly...

A spoof of Science Fiction films and television series, "Quark" chronicled the adventures of Adam Quark, captain of a United Galactic Sanitation Patrol ship. His cohorts included Gene/Jean, a "transmute" with male and female characteristics; a Vegeton (a highly-evolved plant-man) named Ficus; Andy the Android and Betty and Betty (who were always arguing over who was the clone of the other). Based at Space Station Perma One were Otto Palindrome and The Head. Though Quark was supposed to stick to his sanitization patrols, he and his crew often met adventure with such colorful space denizens as the evil High Gorgon (the Gorgons were the villains), Zoltar the Magnificent, and Zargon the Malevolent.

Frank and Fay are given the opportunity to correct something in their lives that went wrong the first time, and upon their success, they stay on as the café's new cook and waitress. With the aid of Blackie, the enigmatic owner of the café, Frank and Fay find themselves dispensing hot coffee, daily specials, justice, and second chances to the many imperiled and troubled souls that the café is somehow able to attract, as it travels from place to place.
