Tenchi Masaki is a normal high school student in Japan, who spends the summers doing chores around his grandfather's family shrine. One day, Tenchi manages to steal the key to a mysterious cave where an oni (Japanese demon) is said to have been sealed away by his ancester Yoshou, whose sword still stands guard over it. When he enters this cave, he finds that, much to his surprise, the legend is indeed true when the oni's dessicated skeletal form ("mira"--Japanese mummy) comes to life and attacks him. Tenchi flees the cave in a panic, and later returns to high school, taking the hilt--seemingly all that remains of the ancestral sword--with him. At school, Tenchi is again attacked by the oni, whose name is Ryouko, who has now completely revived herself. Tenchi manages to defeat her with the sword's help, but this is only the beginning of a hilarious Japanese romantic comedy OAV (Original Animation Video, the Japanese equivalent of American made-for-video movies) series which has spawned several spin-off OAVs, soundtrack and drama CDs, and a new TV series in Japan.

Aoi will never forget how she felt the day her high school animation club's labor of love was shown at the cultural festival. The sense of awe and the feeling of accomplishment that came with completing their very first project are exactly what encouraged Aoi and her club mates to enter the animation industry in the first place. But two years later Aoi has graduated, and now that she works as a production assistant for a big-name animation studio, the daunting reality of her job has somewhat diminished her enthusiasm. On a fateful night, Sakura lost all her memories as a result of a conspiracy to obtain her powers. In order to regain her memory, Syaoran seeks help from the witch, Yuuko. Yuuko tells Syaoran that he has to travel from one alternate reality to another to collect fragments of Sakura's memory. However, even if Sakura regains her memory, she will have no recollection of Syaoran. Travelling together with them is Kurogane, a warrior who was exiled from his country, and Fye, a magician who wants to escape from his King. With the help of a magical creature, Mokona, they set off on an exciting journey through time and space.

In the mean time, she begins to fall in Love with him, and due to a misunderstanding, they are forced to get married. Now, they must keep her identity and their marriage a secret, and try to live out normal lives.

In a futuristic world, most people have come to be totally dependent on avatars they can use in the real world due to the Fractale System. The problems of this Utopian world are becoming apparent however as the system gradually starts failing. Some even aggressively rebel against it. Clain, a young boy, happens upon a girl, who is being chased, one day who will initiate a change in his life he could not have imagined. Earth is a beautiful planet...rich in natural resources and home to millions of living species. However, over the years 2,500 of these species have become extinct. Coolidge, who are aware of Deep Blue's plot and plan to destroy the monsters with a project called The Mew Project. Five young girls (Zoey Hanson, Corina Bucksworth, Bridget Verdant, Kikki Benjamin, and Renee Roberts) are secretly fused with the DNA of a specific endangered animal giving them super powers. These girls will rise up to the threat of Deep Blue and his minions and stand up for every living animal on Earth.

While fighting an intense inter-galactic war, a mecha pilot was accidentally warped into a space-time neither he nor the computer of his mecha could recognize. After waking up from a long-time hibernation, he found himself trapped on a planet, with human residents talking in an unknown form of language, using inferior technologies, and - most shocking to him - naturally breathable air.

Renton Thurston is a 14-year-old boy who lived with his mechanic grandfather in a backwater town. Every day he dreamed of being with the mercenary "Light Finding Operation (LFO)" aircraft pilot group "Gekkostate" and riding "Trapar" particle waves-- a sport called "Riffing"-- with their charismatic leader Holland, especially when faced with his father's acclaimed past or his grandfather's desire to protect him. When a young girl named Eureka riding the original LFO, the "Nirvash typeZERO", asks his grandfather for a tune-up, she inadvertently brings the attention of the military to the garage; as a result, the garage is destroyed and Renton is forced to deliver a new type of interface-- the "Amita Drive"-- to the Nirvash. After a heated fight in which the Nirvash destroys the military LFOs by unleashing an immense amount of power, Renton is invited into Gekkostate. However, he quickly realizes that behind the facade of a traveling group of mercenaries is a very bitter reality.

Tiger and Bunny takes place in the fictional city of Sternbild, where a number of years ago people called Next possessing superhuman abilities started manifesting themselves. At the present some of these individuals work as corporate sponsored superheroes and their activities are documented by a popular reality TV show called HeroTV, wherein they are awarded points and ranked in order of their performance. The main focus of the story is on two of the heroes, the veteran Kotetsu T. Kaburagi aka Wild Tiger and the newcomer Barnaby Brooks Jr., as they solve their differences and learn to work together.

In Vandread, men are from Mars and women are from Venus. Well, not quite. Technology has allowed mankind to colonize the entire Milky Way galaxy, and in one star system, the men and women live on two different planets, Taraak and Mejere. A bitter and very literal gender war rages, to the point where they don't even see each other as the sames species anymore. Hibiki Tokai, a male third-class laborer from Taraak, ends up stuck on a battleship after a botched attempt at stealing a robot. When female pirates capture the Taraakian Vanguard, things don't look like they could get any worse for Hibiki. Unfortunately, they do; when the male crew of the Vanguard fire on their captured vessel out of desperation, they created a giant wormhole, which sucks the Vanguard and the Mejeran pirate's ships into itself. Now, stuck far away from their home planets, these men and women must learn to work together if they ever wish to make it back home.
