'Nemo Nobody' is recounting his life story to a reporter. He's less than clear, often times thinking that he is 34 years of age, others, well over 100. But his story becomes more confusing after he does focus on the fact of his current real age.

Hitler, however, sees this as a chance to regain his popularity and power.

The year is 2013 and, with the abolition of the death penalty, prisons are overflowing across the globe presenting a major problem for the authorities. The solution is to ship a consignment of them to a far-flung, freezing god-forsaken place and let them colonize it. When they find themselves deposited at their new home, the authorities leave a pile of numbered keys with which to unlock their chains, and then retreat to a safe distance. All hell breaks loose and among scenes of carnage, the Russians kill the Chechens with uncontrolled acts of murderous violence.

In 1930s Italy, a carefree Jewish waiter named Guido starts a fairy tale life by courting and marrying a lovely woman from a nearby city. On the day that Hurricane Katrina hits New Orleans, elderly Daisy Williams (nee Fuller) is on her deathbed in a New Orleans hospital. At her side is her adult daughter, Caroline. Daisy's grandmother was a resident at that home, which is where she first met Benjamin. Although separated through the years, Daisy and Benjamin remain in contact throughout their lives, reconnecting in their forties when in age they finally match up. Some of the revelations in Benjamin's diary are difficult for Caroline to read, especially as it relates to the time past this reconnection between Benjamin and Daisy, when Daisy gets older and Benjamin grows younger into his childhood years.
