Mutant League Records is an American independent record label based in Chicago. Established in 2012, Mutant League has released albums for seminal pop-punk groups such as Seaway, Belmont, and As It Is among others. As of 2018, the label has sold over 100,000 albums worldwide.

Owner Nate Steinheimer commented on the label's inception, "I spent my weekends sweating through Descendents T-shirts in crowded Chicago basements [...] I aim to house artists that influence people to become as passionate about music as I was growing up." In July 2013, Mutant League announced their partnership with Sony RED and fellow Chicago label Victory for worldwide distribution.

The label contributed music for the soundtrack of the 2018 Xbox One/PlayStation 4 title Mutant Football League, which included tracks from Seaway, Belmont, Vacant Home, Ambleside, & Lucky Boys Confusion.

Justin Robertson is an English electronic musician, DJ, author, artist and record producer.

Boy Harsher is an American electronic music group, formed in 2013 in Savannah, Georgia. Currently based in Northampton, Massachusetts, the band consists of vocalist Jae Matthews and producer Augustus Muller. The band has amassed a cult following since their formation, and their song "Pain" has become an underground hit. Matthews and Muller own and run the label Nude Club, which is exclusively devoted to Boy Harsher and related artists.

Drab Majesty is an American musical project founded by Andrew Clinco in Los Angeles, California in 2011. Clinco, the drummer for the band Marriages, adopted the androgynous character of Deb Demure for the project. Keyboardist and vocalist Mona D (Alex Nicolaou) joined the band in 2016.

Since signing to Dais Records, Drab Majesty has released three albums: Careless (2015), The Demonstration (2017) and Modern Mirror (2019).

Drab Majesty combine androgynous aesthetics and commanding vocals with futuristic and occult lyrics, a style Demure refers to as, "tragic wave." To create his imposing stage presence, Demure employed costumes, makeup and props to accompany his lush, '80s-influenced soundscapes.

Flipper is an American punk rock band formed in San Francisco, California in 1979, continuing in often erratic fashion until the mid-1990s, then reuniting in 2005. The band influenced a number of grunge, punk rock and noise rock bands. Their slowed-down, bass-driven and heavily distorted style of punk is considered to have inspired bands such as the Melvins and Nirvana, whose bass player Krist Novoselic played with the band in the 2000s.

"Home" is a song by Canadian singer Michael Bublé, and released on January 24, 2005, as the second single from his second studio album, It's Time. The song was written by Bublé, along with co-writers Alan Chang and Amy Foster-Gillies.

"Home" centralizes on the male narrator, who is separated from his lover, possibly his wife, while off travelling. He expresses a desire to return home and be with his lover. Bublé had been away touring in Italy when he co-wrote the lyrics, for his then-fiancée, Debbie Timuss. Bublé describes his loneliness from missing her in the lyrics. Aaron Latham of Allmusic, in his review of It's Time, described the song favorably. He called it a "positive step forward" for Bublé, adding "The success of this ballad provides yet another direction that he can explore and expand upon."

Barge Haulers on the Volga or Burlaki (Russian: Бурлаки на Волге, Burlaki na Volge) is an 1870–1873 oil-on-canvas painting by artist Ilya Repin. It depicts 11 men physically dragging a barge on the banks of the Volga River. They are at the point of collapse from exhaustion, oppressed by heavy, hot weather.

The work is a condemnation of profit from inhumane labor. Although they are presented as stoical and accepting, the men are defeated; only one stands out: in the center of both the row and canvas, a brightly colored youth fights against his leather binds and takes on a heroic pose.

Repin conceived the painting during his travels through Russia as a young man and depicts actual characters he encountered. It drew international praise for its realistic portrayal of the hardships of working men, and launched his career. Soon after its completion, the painting was purchased by Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich and exhibited widely throughout Europe as a landmark of Russian realist painting. Barge Haulers on the Volga has been described as "perhaps the most famous painting of the Peredvizhniki movement [for]....its unflinching portrayal of backbreaking labor".

Molchat Doma (Russian: Молчат Дома, lit. 'Houses Are Silent', pronounced [mɐlˈt͡ɕat dɐˈma]) is a Russian-singing Belarusian post-punk band from Minsk, formed in 2017. Their current lineup consists of Egor Shkutko (vocals), Roman Komogortsev (guitar, synthesizer, drum machine), and Pavel Kozlov (bass guitar, synthesizer). Their style is influenced by 1980s Russian rock music and has been described as post-punk, new wave, synth-pop, and cold wave.

They self-released their first album, S krysh nashikh domov (С крыш наших домов, 'From The Roofs of Our Houses') in 2017 and later released their second album, Etazhi (Этажи, 'Floors') in 2018, through German independent label Detriti Records. After gaining popularity worldwide, they signed to American independent label Sacred Bones Records in 2020, who reissued their albums, marking their first releases in North America. Their third studio album, Monument (Монумент), was released on 13 November 2020.

Off the Air is an American anthology television series that airs on Adult Swim. Every episode is composed of surreal videos of different media and purposes – animated and live-action short films, clips from feature films and other television series, stock videos, music videos, abstract loops – presented continuously and in succession. These videos are arranged around a single vague theme, as expressed in the episode's title, and are accompanied by songs by various artists. Dave Hughes, the creator of the series, also serves as its editor. He and the rest of the series' producers also commission artists to produce works to be featured in an episode.

Forty-two episodes have aired over eleven seasons since Off the Air premiered on January 1, 2011. Every episode had a time slot of 4 a.m., which has contributed to the series' obscurity and status among fans of Adult Swim. Three special episodes have been produced: "Dan Deacon: U.S.A.", "Seramthgin", and "Dan Deacon: When I Was Done Dying". The twentieth episode "NEWNOW" is a celebration of New Year's Day and the series' fifth anniversary featuring six original songs.

Kælan Mikla ([cʰaiːlan mɪhkla]?) is een IJslandse indie artpunkband. De band is in 2013 opgericht in Reykjavik door Laufey Soffía Þórsdóttir, Margrét Rósa Dóru-Harrýsdóttir en Sólveig Matthildur Kristjánsdóttir. Op 11 mei 2014 werd het eerste album Glimmer og aska in eigen beheer uitgebracht. Het eponieme album Kælan Mikla verscheen twee jaar later op het Griekse label Fabrika Records. Scramble Cobra is a video game developed by Genki/Pack-In-Video and published by Panasonic for the 3DO.

Scramble Cobra is a 32-bit assault helicopter game with 10 missions and three difficulty settings.

According to Famitsu, Scramble Cobra sold a total of nearly 9,000 copies in Japan. Next Generation reviewed the 3DO version of the game, rating it two stars out of five, and stated that "you have an overall experience that isn't even bad enough to be painful, just dull."

Choir Boy is an American dream-pop band from Salt Lake City, Utah.

Their "dream pop" sound is reminiscent of 80s synth pop, and has been described as "somewhere between Brandon Flowers, Boy George and Kate Bush". The name "Choir Boy” was chosen to reclaim a nickname previously used to torment lead singer Adam Klopp as a teenager when he fronted bands in his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio.

Choir Boy released their debut album, Passive With Desire, in 2016 on Team Love Records. They then signed to Dais Records, following up their first album with the 2018 single, Sunday Light. Their latest album, Gathering Swans, was released in May 2020 to positive reviews.

New Noise praised their second album, Gathering Swans, saying that it “has elements that everyone wants in sensible pop; danceable, memorable, meaningful, powerful, music and lyrics that stay with you and don’t need to beg for repeated listens.” Newsweek was equally positive, saying that the “second album from Choir Boy mastermind Adam Klopp features a dramatically moving vocal performance all throughout.” Paste (magazine) also gave the album a good review, saying that “Choir Boy is one-of-a-kind band with a one-of-a-kind sound.”

Anthony Schmalz "Tony" Conrad (March 7, 1940 – April 9, 2016) was an American avant-garde video artist, experimental filmmaker, musician, composer, sound artist, teacher, and writer. Active in a variety of media since the early 1960s, he was a pioneer of both structural film and drone music. He performed and collaborated with a wide range of artists over the course of his career, most prominently the 1960s New York experimental music group Theatre of Eternal Music.

Conrad was born in Concord, New Hampshire to Mary Elizabeth Parfitt and Arthur Emil Conrad but raised in Baldwin, Maryland and Northern Virginia. His father worked with Everett Warner during World War II in designing dazzle camouflage for the US Navy. Conrad graduated from Harvard University in 1962 with a degree in Mathematics. While studying at Harvard, Conrad was exposed to the ideas of John Cage and Karlheinz Stockhausen. After graduating, Conrad went to Copenhagen to see a friend, who was a research mathematician working on a computer project at the Physics Chemist Institute. That computer had a memory of 8 kilobytes. Conrad worked on it in machine language during the summer, which helped build his computer skills. He also did work as a computer programmer for a year when he came back to the United States.

Antoine Marcel Lemoine was the founder of the music publishing establishment in Paris and a guitar virtuoso and skilful performer on the violin and viola. He was also the father of Henry Lemoine, who took over his publishing business.

Cleopatra Records is an American independent record label based in Los Angeles, California. It was founded in 1992 by Brian Perera. The record label has since grown into a family of labels, including Hypnotic Records, Purple Pyramid Records, Deadline Music Records, and X-Ray Records, encompassing a variety of genres with emphasis on unique and experimental artists.

Cleopatra Records has been primarily known for ushering in the second wave of gothic and industrial music with an eclectic roster of artists, including Christian Death, Nosferatu, Rosetta Stone, Switchblade Symphony, Leæther Strip, Birmingham 6, The Electric Hellfire Club, Razed in Black, X Marks the Pedwalk, Spahn Ranch, Genitorturers, Download (featuring members of Skinny Puppy), Pagandom and others, as well as new wave artists Gary Numan, Missing Persons, Information Society and others.

Deep Deuce historic neighborhood is a district in Downtown Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It was home to Zelia Breaux's Aldridge Theater and Dr. W. H. Slaughter's Slaughter Building his Cove Pharmacy and Slaughter's Hall in it. Author Ralph Waldo Ellison was raised in the area until after his father died, and wrote about the neighborhood. It now consists mostly of low-rise apartment buildings and formerly vacant mixed-use buildings and shops.
