Martin Alexander Aiono is an American singer, record producer, and actor from Phoenix, Arizona. Aiono is known for his videos on YouTube, which have amassed over 1 billion views, and his social media presence with upwards of six million followers. He released his first single on a major label with Interscope Records, "Work the Middle", in February 2017. He released his second single "Question" in April 2017. His third single, "Does It Feel Like Falling" was released on September 18, 2017. Aiono stars in Netflix film Finding 'Ohana. Aiono released his first album, The Gospel at 23, on July 24, 2020.

One Direction, often shortened to 1D, are an English-Irish pop boy band formed in London in 2010. The group is composed of Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and previously Zayn Malik until his departure from the group in March 2015. Alec Shane Benjamin (born May 28, 1994) is an American singer-songwriter from Phoenix, Arizona. His 2018 breakthrough single "Let Me Down Slowly" reached the top 40 in over 25 countries and has amassed over 1 billion streams on Spotify as of April 2022. Benjamin primarily writes and sings songs in English, but has released versions of his songs "Older", "The Way You Felt", "Water Fountain", "Devil Doesn't Bargain", and “Shadow of Mine” in Mandarin Chinese.

Benjamin was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, but lived on Long Island, New York during kindergarten and first grade.

He has a sister, for whom he wrote his song "If We Have Each Other".

Initially, Benjamin signed to Columbia Records while still enrolled at University of Southern California. However, Columbia Records ended their partnership weeks after he submitted his album. Despite this, he went on a self-funded tour in Europe to open for Marina Kaye in France and Lea in Germany. He promoted his music by performing in parking lots outside of concert venues and handing out business cards.

After being eliminated as a solo performer, he was placed into a group with four other contestants, forming One Direction. One Direction went on to become one of the best-selling boy bands of all time.

Following the group's hiatus in 2016, Tomlinson released "Just Hold On" as a debut solo single in December 2016. It peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart and was certified platinum in the UK. Ari Staprans Leff, known professionally as Lauv, is an American singer and musician, best known for his breakout hit "I Like Me Better"; included on his compilation album I Met You When I Was 18 , which was released in 2018. His debut album, How I'm Feeling, was released on March 6, 2020, and debuted at number 16 on the US Billboard 200. Lauv has also written songs for other artists such as "Boys" by Charli XCX and "No Promises" by Cheat Codes and Demi Lovato.

"If the World Was Ending" is a song by Canadian singer JP Saxe, featuring vocals of American singer Julia Michaels. The song was released by Arista Records on October 17, 2019, through digital download and streaming formats as the lead single from his second EP Hold It Together. It is also included on his debut studio album Dangerous Levels of Introspection. The song was nominated for Song of the Year at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards, being Saxe's first nomination, and Michaels' third nomination.

Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao is a Cuban-born American singer and songwriter. She rose to prominence as a member of the girl group Fifth Harmony, which became one of the best-selling girl groups of all time. While in Fifth Harmony, Cabello began to establish herself as a solo artist with the release of the collaborations "I Know What You Did Last Summer" with Shawn Mendes and "Bad Things" with Machine Gun Kelly, the latter reaching number four on the US Billboard Hot 100. She left the group in late 2016.

Harvey Leigh Cantwell, also known by his stage name Hrvy, is an English singer and television personality. He was a presenter on Friday Download on CBBC from 2014 to 2015, and competed on Strictly Come Dancing in 2020.

"I Hate U, I Love U" is a song by American singer and rapper Gnash featuring American singer Olivia O'Brien. It was released on July 26, 2015, as the first single from Gnash's third extended play, Us (2016). The song peaked at number ten on the Billboard Hot 100. Outside of the United States, "I Hate U, I Love U" topped the charts in Australia, a first for both Gnash and O'Brien, and peaked within the top ten of the charts in Austria, Belgium, Finland, Norway, and the United Kingdom.
