Pedra Letícia é uma banda brasileira de rock cômico formada em 2005 na cidade de Goiânia, Goiás.

Seu vocalista, Fabiano Cambota, também é comediante stand-up e apresenta o programa A Culpa é do Cabral exibido pelo canal de televisão por assinatura Comedy Central.

Antes da banda ser formada, Fabiano Cambota tocava em uma banda acústica em Bauru enquanto cursava Rádio e TV pela UNESP. Depois de se formar, ele retornou a Goiânia para trabalhar na Caixa Econômica e acabou conhecendo Fabiano Áquila, onde eles então formaram uma dupla e começaram a tocar rock no Falange Bar, que era administrado por Thiago Sestini e Carlos Eduardo. Após o bar de Thiago falir em 2005, no mesmo ano eles criaram a banda Pedra Letícia em 11 de setembro de 2005 e contrataram Thiago Sestini como percussionista da banda. Suas primeiras apresentações foram no Omelete Club, onde a banda tinha apenas um repertório de 4 músicas.

Nando Reis (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈnɐ̃du ˈʁejs], born José Fernando Gomes dos Reis; January 12, 1963) is a Brazilian musician and producer, best known as the former bassist and one of the lead singers of Brazilian rock band Titãs and for his successful solo career, with his own band called Os Infernais. He has also produced a few albums, including some related to Cássia Eller, who has made several significant partnerships with him, and Marisa Monte. In 2012, Nando Reis was listed among the top ten Brazilian artists at the ECAD list of artists who earned the most from copyright in the first semester of that year. In 2016, he was at the 15th position, besides being 6th in the ranking of earnings from live performances and topped the ranking of earnings from music played in public places.

Pouca Vogal ("Few Vowels" in English) is a side project created by Brazilian rock singers gauchos Duca Leindecker (Leader and guitarist of the band Cidadão Quem) and Humberto Gessinger (Leader and bassist of the group Engenheiros do Hawaii).

Friends since the late '80s, and Humberto Gessinger and Duca Leindecker are band-leaders of two of the biggest bands in rock gaucho, the Engenheiros do Hawaii and Cidadão Quem.

In 2008, both bands ended their tours of albums (Novos Horizontes, acoustic album released by the Engenheiros do Hawaii in 2007, and 7, studio album Cidadão Quem, released in 2006), interrupting the activities of the bands and making possible the realization of the project, has long envisioned by the singers.

Kid Abelha was a rock band from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, formed by Paula Toller (lead vocals), George Israel (sax, guitar and vocals) and Bruno Fortunato (acoustic and electric guitar). The group has recorded 13 studio albums, 3 live albums and 2 live DVDs. They have created many songs which have entered into Brazilian pop-rock history. The group sold more than 8 million albums worldwide.

A precursor group was formed by drummer Carlos Beni, Pedro Farah and Leoni, called "Chrisma". In 1981, Paula Toller meets Leoni in college, PUC-Rio, they start dating and then she used to visit the band rehearsals. The boys always asked her to join the band, but she denied a lot of times, saying she was too shy, but her constant visits to the rehearsals motivated her to sing. George Israel, otherwise, was seen playing saxophone in Búzios and invited by a friend of Leoni to meet the band. In 1982, with guitarist Beto Martins and American keyboardist Richard Owens they recorded a demo tape "Distração" ("Distraction") and "Vida de cão é chato pra cachorro" ("Living like a dog is boring like hell"). Drummer Beni took the tape to radio station Fluminense FM; when asked the band's name, he took a piece of paper from his pocket that had the list of names considered by the group without reaching a consensus and read out the first one: Kid Abelha & os Abóboras Selvagens ("Kid Bee and the Wild Pumpkins"). Achieving success in the Rio underground scene, the two songs were released on the compilation album Rock Voador, with other new Brazilian rock bands. The band then recorded the single "Pintura Íntima"/"Por que não eu?", with more than 100,000 copies sold.

Lulu Santos, stage name of Luiz Maurício Pragana dos Santos (born May 4, 1953), is a Brazilian singer and guitarist.

Lulu was born in Rio de Janeiro. Beginning in the progressive rock band Vímana, he left the band and embarked on a solo career that produced several hits, such as "Tesouros da Juventude" (a tribute to John Lennon, written with Nelson Motta), "De Repente Califórnia", "Tempos modernos", "Adivinha o quê", the smash hit "Como uma Onda (Zen-surfismo)", another Lulu Santos/Nelson Motta partnership and "Um certo alguém". The 1984 album Tudo Azul brought the hits "O último romântico" (whose instrumental arrangement was heavily based on George Harrison's song "Greece", from the 1982 album Gone Troppo), "Certas coisas" and the title track.

Charlie Brown Jr. was a Brazilian alternative rock band from Santos, São Paulo. The group was popular with disadvantaged youth because of their relatable commentary about social issues and the frequent use of skate punk and hip hop slang in their songs. The band won two Latin Grammy Awards and was one of the most-popular Brazilian bands of the late 1990s to mid-2000s.

Luxuria were a British duo made up of vocalist Howard Devoto (formerly of Buzzcocks and Magazine) and instrumentalist Norman Fisher-Jones, a.k.a. Noko. They were active in the 1980s and early 1990s.

Devoto and Noko met through Pete Shelley. The two recorded six collections of material.

In 1987, they signed to Beggars Banquet and formed Luxuria. In 1988, they released their debut album, Unanswerable Lust. Their second and final album, Beast Box, was released in 1990.

Skank is a Brazilian band from Belo Horizonte. Having begun in 1991, they sold approximately 5,200,000 copies of their albums as of 2004. Initially intending to mix dancehall with traditional Brazilian styles, later the band changed its sonority to music closer to Britpop and local movement Clube da Esquina.

O Teatro Mágico (The Magical Theater, in free translation) is a Brazilian musical group, formed in 2003. It was created in the city of Osasco, São Paulo State by Fernando Anitelli and other seven artists, two being circus performers. The group's purpose goes beyond music and it is to bring literature, performing arts, politics and culture all to one place, with the intention of reaching as many people as possible. Despite involving many artistic performances, the group is popular with all audiences, independent of age or social class. Anitelli and the Magical Theater work without a record label and are supported mainly by the city of Osasco.

Anitelli was in another band called "Madalena 19". With the intention of saving money to record an album, he quit the band and went to the U.S, where he worked as a waiter. It was there where he first came into contact with Hermann Hesse's novel Steppenwolf, in which the protagonist runs into a man advertising "The Magical Theater". Anitelli took inspiration from this and named the album he was working on "The Magical Theater" as a homage to the book.

Os Paralamas do Sucesso is a Brazilian rock band, formed in Seropédica, Rio de Janeiro, in the late 1970s. Its members since 1982 are Herbert Vianna, Bi Ribeiro (bass), and João Barone (drums). In its beginning, the band combined reggae and ska with rock, but later added horn arrangements and Latin rhythms.

Nenhum de Nós (Portuguese for None of Us) is a Brazilian pop rock band formed in 1986 in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. The band primarily consists of former Engenheiros do Hawaii member Carlos Stein (guitar), João Vicenti (keyboards), Sady Hömrich (drums), Thedy Corrêa (lead vocals) and Veco Marques (guitar). One of the most famous Brazilian pop rock bands, they are well known for the song "Camila, Camila".

After having helped form the band Engenheiros do Hawaii and playing in two shows, Carlos Stein left the band to form another band with some friends that he had known since elementary school, Sady Homrich and Thedy Correa. In 1986 in Rio Grande do Sul they started playing together and came up with the name Nenhum de Nós (None of Us). They wanted a name that would spark the curiosity of others, but also showed something that each of them had in common: None of us sees very well, None of us stayed in school, None of us joined the army, etc...

Tihuana is a Brazilian rock band, formed in 1999 in São Paulo. Their musical influences include reggae, rap, rock, ska and Latin music. They have gained prominence outside Brazil recently due to their part in the soundtrack of Tropa de Elite.

Biquini Cavadão is a Brazilian rock band formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1985. They are an influential 1980s band that still continues successful to this day.

Biquini Cavadão is the name of a tiny cut-a-way bikini well known in Brazilian beaches during the eighties. It is also the name of one of the most famous bands in Brazil in the last thirty years, with more than one million copies of their albums sold, with more than two thousand shows nationwide, as well as abroad. Bruno Gouveia (vocals), Miguel Flores da Cunha (keyboards), Alvaro Birita (drums) and Sheik (bass), after one year presenting gigs in high school parties, mostly covers from emerging Brazilian bands, decided to make their own music. With a great help from Carlos Beni (Kid Abelha's former drummer) and Herbert Vianna (Paralamas do Sucesso), who actually named the band, their first song ever air played - "Tédio" - became an instant hit. Signed by Polygram and with the inclusion of guitar player Carlos Coelho, they released their debut single at that same year and in 1986, they released their first album, Cidades em Torrente. They released two more albums in the eighties (A Era da Incerteza and Zé) with minor hits than its predecessor.

Zé Ramalho (born José Ramalho Neto on October 3, 1949 – Brejo do Cruz – Paraíba, Brazil) is a Brazilian composer and performer. Zé Ramalho has collaborated with various major Brazilian musicians, including Vanusa, Geraldo Azevedo and Alceu Valença to name a few. Zé Ramalho is also the first cousin of Elba Ramalho, a well known Brazilian composer and performer.

As with many musicians back in his younger days, he was first influenced by rock and roll; however, at the age of 20, his music took a more Northeastern Brazilian approach. Zé Ramalho's lyrics however, are very influenced by the socio-economic difficulties faced by the average Brazilian.

Zé Ramalho was born to Estelita Torres Ramalho, an elementary school teacher, and Antônio de Pádua Pordeus Ramalho, a Seresta performer. When he was two years old, his father drowned in a reservoir of the sertão, and he was then adopted by his grandfather. His love for his grandfather would later be expressed in the song "Avôhai". After spending most of his childhood in Campina Grande, his family moved to João Pessoa. Ramalho went to medicine school at the Federal University of Paraíba.

RPM ("Revoluções por Minuto", Revolutions per minute in Brazilian portuguese) is a Brazilian pop rock band. It was started in 1983 by singer/bassist Paulo Ricardo, keyboardist Luiz Schiavon, guitarist Fernando Deluqui and drummer Paulo Antônio "P.A." Pagni.

RPM played soft techno-pop with strong, paradoxical influences of Progressive rock and European Synthpop. Their lyrics were pessimistic, ironic and full of literary (Arthur Rimbaud, Surrealism and books like Christiane F.) and political references with a strong leftist tone.

The band was very successful in the mid-1980s, being considered the Rolling Stones of Brazil: the live album Rádio Pirata ao vivo was the best-selling ever recorded in Brazil with more than 2.2 million copies sold. Its success did not limit itself to CD sales: RPM starred a phenomenon that was compared with the Beatlemania, with ravenous fans that filled the stadia, stopped traffic, evaded security, and bought all products that were launched with the RPM brand.
