Tomáš Dvořák, known professionally as Floex, is a contemporary Czech composer, clarinetist, producer, DJ, and multimedia artist. He is best known for his work with indie game studio Amanita Design.

Shakkazombie (シャカゾンビ) is a Japanese hip-hop group. Formed in the 1990s, the group consists of Osumi a.k.a. Big-O (Takeshi Osumi), Hide-Bowie a.k.a. Ignition Man (Hidehiro Iguchi), and Tsutchie (Shinji Tsuchida). One of Japan's influential hip-hop groups, they are known for featuring & introducing many artists in their collaborations such as Nitro Microphone Underground.

The group was formed in 1993 when DJ & producer Tsutchie joined with emcees Osumi and Hide-Bowie, who were already making hip-hop music at the time. Hide-Bowie played jazz music before becoming a hip-hop artist and both he and Osumi were influenced by the hip-hop lifestyle. In his first year of high school, Tsutchie was inspired by hip-hop acts such as Run DMC and the Beastie Boys which lead to him becoming a beatmaker.

Uyama Hiroto is a Japanese record producer, DJ, composer, arranger and close collaborator of the late Japanese DJ, record producer, composer and arranger Nujabes. His style of music is a blend of heavy downtempo and ambient-jazz influenced hip-hop. For the album Chill SQ he created a remix of the song "Theme of Love" from the video game Final Fantasy IV.

The 49ers is a hip-hop duo from Newark, Delaware and consists of members Jas Mace and Marchitect. They were also the focal members of another hip-hop group called The Outfit. The 49ers are known for their laid-back, jazzy, and soulful hip-hop music.

Jas Mace and Marchitect were introduced to each other through little league baseball in their hometown of Newark, Delaware. It was later realized that the two shared more than just a passion for sports, but also for hip-hop music. They began writing raps and recording music at Marchitect's house, which is also where their group's name was created. The origin of the name is the street address of where the two emcees honed their production and emceeing skills.

Jon Marshall, better known by his stage name Fat Jon the Ample Soul Physician, is an American hip hop producer and rapper from Cincinnati, Ohio. He is a member of the American hip-hop group Five Deez. He is also one half of 3582 with J. Rawls, one half of Rebel Clique with vocalist Amleset Solomon, and one half of Beautiful Killing Machine with Sonic Brown of Five Deez. Fat Jon is also credited as part of the production team that scored the music for the anime series Samurai Champloo. He currently resides in Frankfurt, Germany.

Nomak (ノーマーク, Nomaku) ou DJ Nomak est un artiste et producteur Japonais de Hip-hop.

Il commence sa carrière en 2005 en sortant l'album Combine mais c'est en 2006 avec les albums Wonderin' View et Fantastic View qu'il se fait connaitre. Dans la même lignée que des artistes comme Nujabes, ses morceaux sont empreints d'une certaine mélancolie due à la prépondérance d'instruments comme la flûte, le violon, le saxophone ou bien encore des instruments de musique traditionnelle Japonaise.

Nomak fait énormément de morceaux instrumentaux, mais n'hésite pas à faire venir quelques artistes pour l'accompagner en voix sur certains de ses titres, Pismo, Aaron Phiri, Paulie Rhyme, ou bien Abstract Rude font ainsi quelques apparitions sur ses albums.

Ikue Asazaki (朝崎 郁恵, Asazaki Ikue, born 11 November 1935) is a Japanese folk singer. She grew up on the Amami Islands (in Setouchi, Kagoshima) which are famous for spawning popular singers of shima-uta, Amami's traditional music genre. Her father influenced her early music strongly during her upbringing. Her musical style sometimes resembles the style of New Age. Her most famous albums are Utabautayun with traditional Amami songs and lyrics, and Minya, with Akira Takahashi accompanying her on the piano.

She lived for ten years in Yokohama and served from 1984 in the National Theatre of Japan. In 1990 she gave concerts in the Carnegie Hall, in New York, Los Angeles, and Cuba. Ikue Asazaki participates every year at the Ryukyu Festival in Hibiya. In 2007 she gave a concert in the Ikegami Honmonji temple. She currently lives in Tokyo and her first best of album was released under Universal in 2008.

Samurai Champloo is a 2004 Japanese historical adventure anime television series. The debut television production of studio Manglobe, the 26-episode series aired from May 2004 to March 2005. It was first partially broadcast on Fuji TV, then had a complete airing on Fuji Network System. It was licensed for North American broadcast on Adult Swim, and for commercial release first by Geneon Entertainment and later by Crunchyroll. It was also licensed for English releases in the United Kingdom by MVM Films, and in Australia and New Zealand by Madman Entertainment. A manga adaptation was serialized in Monthly Shōnen Ace during 2004, later released in North America by Tokyopop the following year.
