Michael William Buckley (born August 16, 1969) is a bestselling children's author whose works include The Sisters Grimm the N.E.R.D.S. book series, and Finn and the Intergalactic Lunchbox.

Born in Akron, Ohio, Michael Buckley attended Ohio University, where he graduated with honors. Shortly after graduating from Ohio University in 1986, Buckley moved to New York City.

Sometime after college Buckley moved to New York City to start an internship with the Late Show with David Letterman, then moved into a television production job where he worked on documentaries. His books are published by Harry N. Abrams. Buckley worked as a stand-up comic as well as a TV copywriter before he started to write The Sisters Grimm series. Buckley had originally planned for The Sisters Grimm to be a television series until his wife suggested turning it into a book.

Jim K. Benton is an American illustrator and writer. Licensed properties he has created include Dear Dumb Diary, Dog of Glee, Franny K. Stein, Just Jimmy, Just Plain Mean, Sweetypuss, The Misters, Meany Doodles, Vampy Doodles, Kissy Doodles, and the jOkObo project, but he is probably most known for his creation It's Happy Bunny.

James Robert Davis is an American cartoonist, television writer, television producer, screenwriter, and film producer. He is best known as the creator of the comic strips Garfield and U.S. Acres. Published since 1978, Garfield is one of the world's most widely syndicated comic strips. Davis's other comics work includes Tumbleweeds, Gnorm Gnat, and Mr. Potato Head.

Andrew Noel Griffiths (born 3 September 1961) is an Australian children's book author and comedy writer and was educated at Yarra Valley Grammar School. He is most notable for his Just! series, which was adapted into an animated television series called What's with Andy?, his novel The Day My Bum Went Psycho, which was also adapted into a television series, and the Treehouse series, which has been adapted into several stage plays. Previously a vocalist with alternative rock bands Gothic Farmyard and Ivory Coast, in 1992 he turned to writing. He is well known for working with Terry Denton. Griffiths is noted as a supporter of children against what he views as "cotton wool" childhoods, and, along with Denton, was a noted supporter of the September 2019 climate strikes.

Aaron Blabey (born January 1, 1974) is an Australian author of children's books.

He is the creator of three best-selling children's series; Pig the Pug – a picture book series about a rude, selfish, mean-spirited little dog, The Bad Guys – a New York Times #1 bestselling graphic novel series for junior readers about a gang of scary-looking animals trying to change their bad reputations and Thelma the Unicorn – a second picture book series about a plain little pony who pretends to be a unicorn.

As of December 2022, Blabey has around 35 million books in print and his books have spent over 120 weeks on the New York Times Bestseller List. The Bad Guys first reached #1 on the list on July 3 2019.

Mac Barnett is an American writer of children's books living in Oakland, California.

Barnett graduated from Pomona College, where he studied under the writer David Foster Wallace.

Geronimo Stilton is an Italian children's chapter book series written by Elisabetta Dami under the pen name of the title character. Scholastic Corporation has published the English version of the series in the US since February 2004, and the books are published by Sweet Cherry Publishing in the UK.

Lincoln Peirce is an American cartoonist and animator, best known as the creator of the successful Big Nate comic strip and as the author/illustrator of a series of Big Nate novels for young readers. Dan Gutman (born October 19, 1955) is an American writer, primarily of children's fiction.

His works include the Baseball Card Adventures children's book series that began with Honus & Me, and the My Weird School series.

Gutman was born in New York City, moving with his family a year later to Newark, New Jersey, where on June 1, 1968, his father abandoned the family. His homemaker mother Adeline became a secretary and cared for Dan and his older sister, Lucy. After Vailsburg High School in Newark, Gutman graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in psychology in 1977. He began a graduate program in psychology, but dropped out and moved to New York City in 1980 to pursue a writing career.
