Šarlo Akrobata(Serbian Cyrillic:Шарло Акробата; trans.Charlot the Acrobat, a Serbo-Croatian language version of Charlie Chaplin's name in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia) were a seminal Serbian new wave/post-punk band from Belgrade. Short-lived but extremely influential, in addition to being one of the most important acts of the Yugoslav new wave scene, the three piece left an indelible mark on the entire music scene of former Yugoslavia.

Spawning from the progressive/hard rock group Limunovo Drvo (Serbian Cyrillic:Лимуново Дрво; trans.Lemon Tree), founded in 1977 by guitarist and vocalist Milan Mladenović and guitarist Dragomir Mihajlović "Gagi", after several lineup changes, moved towards new wave music, with the arrival of bassist and vocalist Dušan Kojić "Koja" and drummer Ivan Vdović "VD". After performing as an opening act for Pankrti in April 1980, Mihajlović left the band and the remaining three members changed their name to Šarlo Akrobata, after a Yugoslav nickname for actor Charlie Chaplin. Subsequently, the trio recorded four tracks which were released on the 1981 compilation albumPaket aranžman, now considered to be one of the most influential releases in the history of former Yugoslav rock music. During 1981, the band released their debut albumBistriji ili tuplji čovek biva kad..., after which, owing to irreconcilable differences between the band members, the band ceased to exist. The album received critical recognition and is regarded as one of the most notable albums of former Yugoslav rock music.

Obojeni Program (Serbian Cyrillic: Обојени Програм, trans. Colored Program) is a Serbian alternative rock band from Novi Sad. The band are pioneers of the Serbian alternative rock scene. The first letters of the band's first seven studio albums form an acronym of their home town. They have performed at every Exit festival since the first in 2000, with the exception of the virtual Exit held in September 2020.

Before forming the band, vocalist Branislav Babić "Kebra" was a member of the two minor Novi Sad punk rock groups, Abortus and Pankreas. With the latter, Babić performed at the Zemun Punk festival, where the members of the Belgrade punk group Urbana Gerila approached him and asked to join them. He became their member, but only for a few months. One of the first Obojeni Program lineups was a trio, featuring Babić (vocals), Goran Ivčić "Tukša" (bass) and Edi Keler (drums). They sounded similar to the early period of Disciplina Kičme, which was formed two years later.

Goribor (Serbian Cyrillic: Горибор; trans. Burningbor) is a Serbian alternative rock band from Bor. Having performed as a teenage band called Projekat (Serbian Cyrillic: Пројекат; trans. The Project) from 1988 until 1992, after a four-year hiatus, the band was reformed in 1996 by the founding members, the vocalist Aleksandar Stojković "St" and guitarist Željko Ljubić "Pity" with the guitarist Predrag Marković "Peđa". Until 2003 they had been making home-made demo recordings eventually released through the Croatian independent record label Slušaj Najglasnije!, after being discovered by the head of the label Zdenko Franjić.

In 2006 Franjić sent their recordings to the Pula Art & Music festival demo competition on which they eventually won the second place and were praised for a unique rock expression. The success at the festival gave them an opportunity to release a studio album through a major record label Dancing Bear. Simultaneously the band had become popular in Serbia as well. Their eponymous debut studio album Goribor received positive critics and several awards in both Serbia and Croatia, including the webzine Popboks award for the best album in the previous decade.

Idoli were a Serbian new wave band from Belgrade. They are considered to be one of the most notable acts of the Yugoslav rock scene, and their 1982 album Odbrana i poslednji dani was on several occasions voted by the music critics as the greatest Yugoslav rock album.

Veliki Prezir is a Serbian alternative rock band from Vrbas.

Stray Dogg (транскр. Стреј Дог) је српска музичка група из Београда.

Након неколико самосталних изведби и соло наступа, певач, писац и кантаутор Душан Страјнић одлучио је да оформи бенд Stray Dogg. Бенд је оформљен 2011. године са Аном Јанковић и Јеленом Дамјановић, које су завршиле Музичку Академију у Београду.

Бенд је у првобитном саставу, после само неколико месеци вежбе и 4 демо снимка, наступао као предгрупа бендовима Chinawoman и Scout Niblett. Тада су увидели да им је потребан још један гитариста. Тада се Марко Игњатовић из Београда, дотадашњи члан бенда Иње, прикључио бенду Stray Dogg као нови соло гитариста.

Након прикључивања Марка Игњатовића, бенд је снимио свој албум првенац - Almost (Скоро). За потребе снимања албума, прикључују им се басиста Владимир Милићевић и бубњар Урош Милкић. Тематика албума, како тврди први човек групе Душан Страјнић је у главном љубавна. Одмах након снимања албума, пар месеци касније, излази и први сингл, песма Almost (Скоро). Недавно се појавио и нови спот, за песму Smile (Осмех), и бенд је кренуо на малу регионалну турнеју. Бенд је овај албум издао као самиздат. Албум Almost (Скоро) је постављен за бесплатно преузимање на Bandcamp страни бенда и такође на Free Music Archive профилу бенда, 30.5. 2011. године. Укупан број преузимања на ове обе стране је 4000.

Lira Vega (Serbian Cyrillic: Лира Вега; trans. Lyra Vega) is a Serbian alternative rock band from Belgrade.

The band was formed in 1998 as a part of the theatre troupe Pozorište Šešira (The Hat Theatre) by Zoja Borovčanin (vocals), Dejan Utrvar (drums), Nemanja Aćimović (bass guitar) and Vladimir Ðorđević (guitar), in order to compose the music for the piece Zima ili snovi ili putovanje u svim pravcima (Winter or Dreams or Travelling in All Directions). Under the Pozorište Šešira moniker, the band had their first live appearance in March 1998 at the Belgrade club "Underground", at the promotion of a hat fashion line by Ljudmila Stratimirović.

The song "Alfa Akvari" (transliteration for "Alpha Aquari"), which promoted the theatre piece appeared on the first place of the Radio B92 domestic singles list for several weeks. Following the success of the single, the band started performing frequently at Belgrade clubs and On March 1999, the band performed as an opening act for Obojeni Program. On December of the same year, with the Pozorište Šešira theatre troupe, they had a tour of Slovenia a part of the Metelkova culture centre anniversary. After the tour, the band went on hiatus.

Johannes Adolf von Kries (6 October 1853, Roggenhausen – 30 December 1928, Freiburg im Breisgau) was a German physiological psychologist who formulated the modern “duplicity” or “duplexity” theory of vision mediated by rod cells at low light levels and three types of cone cells at higher light levels. He made important contributions in the field of haemodynamics. In addition, von Kries was a significant theorist of the foundations of probability.

When von Kries was at Freiburg (1880–1924), he was called to succeed Professor Emil Du Bois-Reymond as chair of physiology at the University of Berlin, but he declined.

Von Kries has been called Helmholtz's "greatest German disciple".
