Bastet or Bast was a goddess of ancient Egyptian religion, worshipped as early as the Second Dynasty. Her name also is rendered as B'sst, Baast, Ubaste, and Baset. In ancient Greek religion, she was known as Ailuros.

Ștefan Szönyi (n. 20 iulie 1913, Banloc, Timiș, Austro-Ungaria – d. 4 decembrie 1967, București, România) a fost un pictor român. Toată copilăria sa a fost marcată de lumina, peisajele și personajele din Banat. Încă de copil pasiunea sa pentru artă îl face să fie acceptat în grupul unor artiști mai vârstnici care aveau obiceiul să se reunească la Lugoj în spiritul Școala de la Barbizon. La 15 ani lucrează sub îndrumarea lui Virgil Simonescu la executarea picturilor murale ale bisericii locale. La 19 ani are prima expoziție personală.

1934 - Student la Școala de Belle Arte Timișoara, profesor Alexandru Popp și Iuliu Podlipny. Pictează Profeții, Don Quijote, Apocalipsul. În 1935, la 22 de ani, expoziție personală. Suflul autentic ce înglobează lumina și natura care se contopesc cu personaje puternice, rămân un semn distinctiv în operele sale pe tot parcursul creației sale artistice. Puternic influențat de forța expresivă a personajelor sculptorului Romulus Ladea, Szönyi este înclinat către o formă de expresie și mai puternică, atât în mânuirea desenului cât și a culorilor.

Elephant Music is a British production music company based in London, England. The company was founded by Vikram Gudi in 2012. It is best known for specialising in high-end trailer music for commercial motion pictures with a dark/thriller sound for the horror film/thriller film genres. It has supplied tracks to trailers such as Avengers: Endgame, Morbius and A Quiet Place Part II.

Phonk ( ) is a subgenre of hip hop and trap music directly inspired by 1990s Memphis rap. Mostly present on the SoundCloud platform, the music is characterized by vocals from old Memphis rap tapes and samples from early-1990s hip hop, often combining them with elements of jazz and funk. The genre deploys distorting techniques such as chopped and screwed to create a darker sound.

Initially developed in the 2000s in the Southern United States, mainly in Houston and Memphis, the genre's early pioneers include DJ Screw, X-Raided, DJ Spanish Fly, DJ Squeeky, and the collective Three 6 Mafia. In the late-2010s, through streaming platforms such as SoundCloud, the genre developed more of an emphasis on jazz and classic hip hop.

Das Splash (Eigenschreibweise: splash!) ist ein seit 1998 veranstaltetes Hip-Hop-Festival. Von 1999 bis 2006 fand es am Stausee Oberrabenstein bei Chemnitz statt. In den Jahren 2007 und 2008 fand das splash! infolge der starken Regenfälle in den Vorjahren und der damit verbundenen finanziellen Krise auf der Halbinsel Pouch bei Bitterfeld statt. Seit 2009 hat das splash! auf der Halbinsel Ferropolis bei Gräfenhainichen einen neuen Veranstaltungsort.

In den Anfangsjahren gab es jeweils eine Bühne für Hip-Hop und Reggae. Im Jahr 2006 gab es bereits zwei Bühnen mit verschiedenen Wettbewerben und Auftritten der Künstler sowie zwei Partyzelte.

Die bevorzugten Musikrichtungen sind Hip-Hop, Reggae und Drum and Bass. Das Festival bietet neben einer großen Bühne auch Zelte für Dancehall, Drum and Bass und Hip-Hop in dem auch die Write4Gold-Battles stattfinden (Wettbewerb verschiedener Gruppen in der Graffitikunst). Weiterhin ist das splash!-Festival Austragungsort abwechselnd für Zwischen- und Endausscheidungen der ITF-Weltmeisterschaften für DJs – unter anderem in der Kategorie Scratchen.

Matthew Raymond Hauri (born March 19, 1996), better known as Yung Gravy, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, producer, and entrepreneur from Minnesota. He first gained recognition in 2017, when his songs "Mr. Clean" and "1 Thot 2 Thot Red Thot Blue Thot" gained traction on SoundCloud, the former of which is now RIAA certified Platinum and the latter of which is now RIAA certified Gold. Since 2017, Yung Gravy has completed seven international tours and has released one mixtape, three albums, and four EPs. Yung Gravy is often associated with fellow artists Chief Keef , Lil Baby, and bbno$, as well as producers Y2K, Jason Rich, and Engelwood.

Matthew Hauri was born in Rochester, Minnesota. Hauri graduated from Mayo High School in 2014. He attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin, and earned his degree in marketing in December 2017. While attending college, he began rapping for fun and started his career on SoundCloud after being inspired by the rise of rappers Lil Yachty and Lil Peep. In 2016, he quit his job and dedicated himself to making music, spending months self-recording songs.

Okho is a composition for three percussionists by Iannis Xenakis completed in 1989.

In the months before the creation of Okho, Xenakis spent some time with other percussionists such as Jean-Pierre Drouet, who first presented the djembe and the zarb in his studio. During this time, Xenakis and other percussionists worked on the different techniques used for playing some African instruments. The title Okho, unlike many other titles from Xenakis's output, is a pure combination of phonemes and has no meaning. The piece was a commission from the Festival d'automne à Paris and the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, with the support of the Government of France on the occasion of the celebration of the bicentenary of the French Revolution. Since the score calls for three djembes and an African bass drum, some scholars have highlighted the possible ironic reference to French colonialism, even though no such references were made explicit in the press.

Kiefer is a Grammy Award-winning American pianist and producer based in Los Angeles, California.

Born in 1992 in San Diego, Kiefer started playing piano around age six, and was first introduced to jazz by his father. Growing up, he took classical and jazz lessons, and by his teens was an adept soloist and began experimenting with producing his own computer-based hip-hop and electronic beats. After high school, he moved to Los Angeles and enrolled in UCLA’s Jazz Studies program, where he was mentored by renowned jazz guitarist Kenny Burrell, flautist James Newton and pianist Tamir Hendelman. It was at the institution where he experimented jazz composition and live improvisation with programmed electronic beats.
