xCrosscheckx ist eine Old-School-Hardcore-Punk-Band aus Meerane, die 2002 von Sänger Kalle gegründet wurde.

Die Band orientiert sich an der frühen 1980er US-Szene und ist stark beeinflusst von Slapshot und Minor Threat. 2003 wurde ein Demo eingespielt durch das 2004 ein Plattenvertrag mit dem Label Psycho T. Records zustande kam. Bisher wurden 3 CDs veröffentlicht. Live war die Band mittlerweile in fast allen Bundesländern Deutschlands, Ungarn und der Schweiz unterwegs und 2008 wurde eine zweiwöchige Tour in Südostasien gespielt. Die Band spielte schon gemeinsame Shows z. B. mit The Real McKenzies, Dritte Wahl, Troopers, Zaunpfahl, Discipline, SS-Kaliert, Born from Pain und Crushing Caspars.

Sam Griffin Owens, known professionally as Sam Evian, is an American songwriter, instrumentalist and producer based in New York. He has released three full-length albums and one 7" single.

"La mentira (Se te olvida)", known in English as "Yellow Days", is a bolero written by Álvaro Carrillo around 1965. Alan Bernstein wrote the song's lyrics in English. It has become a Latin and jazz standard, having been featured as the theme song of films and telenovelas, as well as being covered by artists such as Frank Sinatra, who sang it to an arrangement by Billy May. It appeared on the Francis A. & Edward K. (Sinatra and Duke Ellington) album on Reprise. It has also been covered by Jerry Vale, the Sandpipers, Anita Bryant, Johnny Mann, Lenny Dee, Johnny Mathis, and Jonah Jones.

Chicano Batman is a four-piece American band based in Los Angeles, California. Formed in 2008, the band is composed of Eduardo Arenas (bass, guitar, vocals), Carlos Arévalo (guitars, keyboards), Bardo Martinez (lead vocals, keyboards, guitar) and Gabriel Villa (drums). The group's sound draws from a mix of genres ranging from psychedelic soul, funk, indie, prog, and rock.

Chicano Batman was formed in 2008. NPR's Alt.Latino referred to the band's music as one of the show's and listener's favorites of 2014. Chicano Batman provided support for select dates on the January–February leg of Jack White's Lazaretto Tour 2015. In April 2015, the band performed on Day 3 (April 12 & 19) for both weekends of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. In July 2015, Chicano Batman performed at Ruido Fest. As of 2017, the band has played at Bonnaroo (2016) and LouFest (2016), as well as both weekends of Coachella (2017), Sasquatch! Music Festival (2017), the Forecastle Festival (2017), FYF (2017), Beer X (2017).

xDEATHSTARx was an American Christian metal band from Redlands, California. All of the members are straight edge and they incorporate both Christian and straight edge themes within their music, with their view of the loss of values in modern society.

The group released its first album in 2004 and is currently signed to Facedown Records. xDEATHSTARx has recorded two full-length albums and two independent EPs on independent record labels, including Facedown Records, Life Sentence Records, and I Witness Media. The band features three full-time vocalists as well as two guitarists and a bassist. They have appeared on the Discovery Channel's Jesse James' Monster Garage. In 2008, they released a remastered version of their debut album, which had been out of print. In March 2009 the band announced they were breaking up and moving on their separate ways.

Unknown Mortal Orchestra (UMO) is a New Zealand psychedelic rock band formed in Auckland, primarily composed of singer, guitarist, and songwriter Ruban Nielson, and bassist Jacob Portrait. The band is currently based in Portland, Oregon, United States. Nielson started the band in 2010. The band's first album was released in 2011 on Fat Possum Records; four subsequent studio albums have been released on Jagjaguwar, the most recent being V (2023).

Grapetooth is a Chicago-based new wave-influenced duo. The project, which consists of Clay Frankel and Chris Bailoni, was started in 2015.

Twin Peaks member Clay Frankel and Chris Bailoni, also known as Chicago producer Home-sick, met in 2012 through mutual friends. Three years later in 2015, the two bonded over similar musical tastes while out a bar and made a resolution to create music together. Frankel and Bailoni stumbled into the group’s sound after writing their first single, “Trouble.” Calling the project Grapetooth as a reference to Frankel’s wine consumption, the duo began playing and gathering attention at wild-mannered shows in Chicago. Grapetooth shared their second single, “Violent” in May 2018 and they released their debut album "Grapetooth" on November 9, 2018 on Polyvinyl Records. On February 12, 2020 Grapetooth, alongside fellow Chicago-based Musician Lala Lala, released a pair of singles, "Fantasy Movie" b/w "Valentine", on Hardly Art Records.

The Jet Age of Tomorrow is an American production duo from Atlanta, Georgia and a sub-group of hip hop collective Odd Future that consists of producer-singer Matt Martians, and producer-rapper Pyramid Vritra. According to Martians, the group's music originated from instrumentals turned down by Tyler, the Creator and Hodgy, who liked the tracks Martians sent them, but could not use them in their own music. Outside of their work with the Jet Age, Martians is a member of The Internet with Odd Future member Syd, while Vritra is a member of his own Atlanta hip hop collective, NRK.

Alvvays is a Canadian indie pop band formed in 2011, originating from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, and subsequently based in Toronto, Ontario. It consists of Molly Rankin, Kerri MacLellan (keyboards), Alec O'Hanley (guitars), Abbey Blackwell (bass), and Sheridan Riley (drums). Their self-titled debut album, released in 2014, topped the US college charts. Their second studio album, Antisocialites, was released on September 8, 2017, and won the Juno Award for Alternative Album of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2018. Both albums were short-listed for the Polaris Music Prize. Their third album, Blue Rev, was released on October 7, 2022.

Late Night Tales: Bonobo is a mix album compiled by British musician Bonobo, released on 17 November 2013 as part of the Late Night Tales series. The mix includes tracks from artists such as Nina Simone, Lapalux, Bill Evans, The Invisible and Dorothy Ashby. It also features an exclusive Bonobo cover version of Donovan’s "Get Thy Bearings".

SALES (stylized in all caps) is an American guitar-based indie pop band from Orlando, Florida. The band's members are musicians Lauren Morgan and Jordan Shih. They are joined on tour by Malcolm Martin, who serves as the live drummer and percussionist.

In July 2014, the band was named "Ones to Watch" for the second half of 2014 by The Hype Machine as it being one of the most blogged artists yet to release a long play album.

The band is independent and self-released their first 7" single Renee/Tonka Time on December 1, 2013, through the music platform Bandcamp. Their first EP was released in September 2014, and their first album in April 2016.

Artwork for all of the band's releases is done by collage artist and designer Alana Questell.

Whitney is an American band from Chicago, which formed in 2015 and is signed to Secretly Canadian. The band was formed shortly after the breakup of members Max Kakacek and Julien Ehrlich's band Smith Westerns in late 2014. They released their debut album, Light Upon the Lake, in June 2016 and have toured internationally.

After the breakup of Smith Westerns in 2014, guitarist Kakacek joined with drummer Julien Ehrlich, who also played drums for Unknown Mortal Orchestra, to form Whitney. As roommates, the duo shared songwriting duties while Ehrlich became the main vocalist. Initially the band featured members of the Touching Voids, Ehrlich's previous band. In June 2015, the band made the song "No Matter Where We Go" available digitally through the Lead Riders label. It included former Smith Westerns member Ziyad Asrar on rhythm guitar, Malcolm Brown on keyboards, bassist Josiah Marshall and brass player Will Miller.

Tame Impala is the psychedelic music project of Australian multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker. In the recording studio, Parker writes, records, performs, and produces all of the project's music. As a touring act, Tame Impala consists of Parker, Dominic Simper, Jay Watson, Cam Avery, and Julien Barbagallo. The group has a close affiliation with fellow Australian psychedelic rock band Pond, sharing members and collaborators, including Nick Allbrook, formerly a live member of Tame Impala. Originally signed to Modular Recordings, Tame Impala is now signed to Interscope Records in the United States and Fiction Records in the UK.

Walter TV is a Canadian indie rock band, consisting of Pierce McGarry (vocals, guitar), Joe McMurray (drums) and Simon Ankenman (bass). To date, the band has released three studio albums, Appetite (2013), Blessed (2015) and Carpe Diem (2017).

Joe McMurray performs in Mac DeMarco's live band, with DeMarco guitarist Andy White also playing in Walter TV in 2012.

Der ANCHOR – Reeperbahn Festival International Music Award ist der Musikpreis des Reeperbahn Festivals, das als Europas größtes Clubfestival gilt. Seit 2016 wird der ANCHOR jährlich im Rahmen des Festivals an aufstrebende Musik-Talente verliehen.

Die Nominierten setzen sich aus Bands und Solo-Künstlern des Programms des Reeperbahn Festivals zusammen. Ausgewählt werden sie einige Wochen vor dem Festival von einem Gremium aus Musikfachleuten. Bewertet werden die Künstler während ihrer Live-Shows im Verlauf des mehrtägigen Festivals. Die Bewertung erfolgt durch eine international besetzte Fachjury, die aus etablierten Experten der Musikindustrie besteht. Die Preisverleihung, bei der alle Nominierten sowie die Jury anwesend sind, findet am letzten Tag des Reeperbahn Festivals vor Publikum statt.
