In 2012, Smith's friend uploaded her cover of Labrinth's "Earthquake" to YouTube, which led to her discovery by record producer Guy Moot. After her first two singles received broader recognition, she signed with Sony/ATV in 2016, releasing two EPs throughout 2016 and 2017.

She also acted in the film Brotherhood (2016). She had her breakthrough in 2017 with her performance of "Sober" for the YouTube channel Colors. In 2018, she was ranked number one on YouTube's Ones to Watch list.

Das Orange Blossom Special (kurz: OBS) ist ein seit 1997 bestehendes dreitägiges Musikfestival, das alljährlich an Pfingsten im ostwestfälischen Beverungen stattfindet. Veranstalter ist das Musiklabel Glitterhouse Records, dessen Firmensitz gleichzeitig der Veranstaltungsort ist. Der Name des Festivals leitet sich von Johnny Cashs gleichnamigem Song Orange Blossom Special ab.

Das Festival entstand ursprünglich aus einer Grillparty mit Live-Musik, die für die Kunden des angeschlossenen Mailorder-Vertriebs von Glitterhouse Records gedacht war. Es entwickelte sich in den folgenden Jahren zu einem mehrtägigen Festival, das für seine gemütliche und familiäre Atmosphäre bekannt geworden ist. Die Zahl der Zuschauer war über Jahre bewusst auf die Kapazität des großen Gartens hinter der Gründerzeitvilla begrenzt, die das Unternehmen Glitterhouse beheimatet, der als Veranstaltungsort für 1800 bis 2000 Besucher diente. Nach Erweiterungen des Geländes fanden 2019 3400 Besucher Platz. Diese können direkt am Weserufer zelten und dürfen die Duschen im lokalen Freibad, im benachbarten Tennisclub und in der Eishalle nutzen. Das Festival ist meist weit im Vorfeld ausverkauft und zieht altersmäßig ein sehr heterogenes Publikum an.

Her musical influences include Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, Miss Dynamite and Lily Allen. Her stage name is taken from her love of green tea, and the London slang word 'peng', which means attractive or tasty.

East London Arts & Music (also known as ELAM) is a free school sixth form located in Bromley-by-Bow in East London, England.

Established in 2014, ELAM is for students aged 16 to 19 who wish to pursue a career in music, games design or film and TV.

In April 2017 ELAM moved into its permanent home in Bromley-by-Bow, East London. Prior to this ELAM was based at School 21 in Stratford.

In May 2017 ELAM was graded Outstanding in every category by Ofsted in its first full inspection.

ELAM does not have set grade boundaries for prospective students, however each applicant is assessed on a case-by-case basis. The course structure of ELAM requires all students to study an Extended Diploma in Music, Games Design or Film and Television in addition to English and Mathematics courses (ranging from GCSE to A-level grade depending on the student's previous achievement).

Sault (frequently stylised as SAULT) are a British music collective that make a mixture of rhythm and blues, house and disco. The project is helmed by producer Inflo, best known for his work with Little Simz, Michael Kiwanuka, Cleo Sol, Jungle and Adele. Despite critical acclaim, Sault eschew interaction with the media and features an array of unnamed collaborators. They have never played a live show, given an interview or released a music video in support of their music. They frequently foreground black-centric issues.

DaVinChe, is a British record producer and songwriter from South London, England who is best known as one of the pioneer producers in the UK grime scene. His notable works include Kano's "Brown Eyes" and "P's and Q's", Mez Featuring Stormzy "Lex Luther", Giggs and Shola Ama "Blow Em' Away", Bashy featuring Wretch 32's "Male Pride", Tinie Tempah's "Tears", Tinchy Stryder's "Something About Your Smile", and a funky house hit collaboration with long time friends DJ Perempay and Katie Pearl "Something in the Air".

He is also responsible for many grime instrumentals including "Eyes on You", which was used in the Boy Better Know Cypher for SBTV's 100m Views Milestone celebration featuring JME, Jammer and Skepta.

Floyd Westerman, also known as Kanghi Duta, was a Dakota Sioux musician, political activist, and actor. After establishing a career as a country music singer, later in his life he became an actor, usually depicting Native American elders in American films and television. He is also credited as Floyd Red Crow Westerman. As a political activist, he spoke and marched for Native American causes.

Tre Jean-Marie (born 13 April 1993) is a British songwriter and record producer. His writing and production credits include AJ Tracey, Anne-Marie, Burna Boy, Craig David, Jacob Banks, Joy Crookes, Kaytranada, Labrinth, Little Mix, Mabel, Nathan Dawe, Paloma Faith, and Tom Grennan amongst many others.

Jean-Marie was born in Hackney, London and is of Trinidadian and St. Lucian descent. He is the son of singer-songwriters Lincoln Jean-Marie and Valerie-Suzette Jean-Marie.

In 2016, Jean-Marie became a frequent collaborator of the British artist Craig David, for whom he co-wrote and produced 15 tracks across Following My Intuition and The Time Is Now which peaked at number 1 and 2 respectively on the UK album chart.

Nilüfer Yanya (; born 11 May 1995) is an English singer, songwriter and musician.

Yanya is the daughter of two visual artists, her mother is of Irish and Barbadian heritage and her father is Turkish. Yanya grew up in Chelsea, London listening to Turkish music and classical music playing at home. She gravitated to guitar rock and learned how to play the instrument at the age of 12.

Informally starting her musical career with demos uploaded to SoundCloud in 2014, Yanya turned down an offer to join a girl group produced by Louis Tomlinson of One Direction and focused on developing her own music instead. She has spoken out against this model of talent acquisition, telling The Guardian “‘Let’s go and pinch some young people, tell them we’re going to make a really successful group but we’re obviously going to make a lot more money than them.’ It’s a very selfish thing to do.” The project was reportedly abandoned after a year.
