Pacific Coast Academy, an all-boys' boarding school, is accepting female students for the first time since it was established. Zoey's little brother Dustin is currently a student there, and Zoey decides to be one of the first female students at PCA. This is very exciting, but also very scary. Fitting in at a new school is hard enough, but going away to boarding school and living on your own when you're only 13 can get a little crazy, especially when the the boys vastly outnumber the girls.

Johnny is forever trying to fight his feelings for Ava, knowing he ruined that relationship long ago. Johnny is the father figure to the children. Jay owns a surf shop and is trying to win back ex-girlfriend Erica Spaulding. He acts as the cool big brother to the 3 children and he and Bradin develop a close relationship. Bradin is growing up and getting led astray very easily in the teenage world. He drinks, takes drugs, and gets arrested after getting involved with 'bad-apple' Sara, who he then helps to get her life back on track. Later he falls in love with Callie, only to get hurt again. He discovers a passion for surfing and becomes very good--and falls for his coach, Erica Spaulding. Nikki is at an awkward age of 13 and trying to fit into the Californian teenage world. She is very bright and enjoys reading books and writing poetry more than hanging out at the mall and shopping for clothes. Early on Nikki meets Cameron Bale and they develop a strong relationship and ultimately fall in love. Derrick takes to Johnny immediately and the two develop a good friendship, he also finds his "one soul mate" in a little girl named Martha. This is basically a fun show of sun, sea, and sand mixed with great storyline and emotional input, and will leave you wanting more. Great cast, excellent chemistry, and beautiful scenery.

This show focuses on 7 of the 10 teenage survivors of a plane crash. They're all from LA but not all of them are friends. Their plane lands on some island in the South Pacific. 3 of the teens and the pilot go off in the jungle to explore it leaving the other 7 to worry about setting up camp and finding enough food and water. They have a radio but it is a long time before they get any contact with anyone. Each episode takes place within 1 or half a day of them being on the island. Drama occurs between the castaways revealing their insecurities, crushes, egos, and social problems. Surviving becomes more than just finding enough food and shelter. They eventually become like a family, having to learn to live and work together

Seven 15 year-old surfers have been selected from around Australia and overseas to take part in an intensive 12-month residential school program at Blue Water High. At the beachside school they join other pupils in a normal year's academic work as well as receiving special coaching in surfing. At the end of the year, two of the seven will qualify to surf the pro-circuit and win a three-year sponsorship contract. The series is a race into the finals for the wild card, a race to get through the year, and a race to grow up. The seven teens, forced to live, study and train together-at the same time become best friends and greatest competitors.
