It's 1992. Young Dina lives in a remote mountain village where life is strictly governed by centuries of tradition. Dina's grandfather has promised her to David, who is returning from the war. But with him comes a comrade-in-arms, the handsome Gegi, and Dina falls in love. Is it possible to defy the firmly established order?

The story of self-taught Georgian painter Niko Pirosmani.

Three stories happening in three different centuries, revolve around a mysterious painting entitled "Two Owls". In the 19th century thread, a man living in a big mansion is worried about his brother whose wife died a while ago. The brother however behaves as if she was still alive. A befriended psychiatrist is being called for help in order to examine the phenomenon in long conversations. He has to recognize however that the man's behavior doesn't harm anyone. He actually offers a painting to the doctor which his wife allegedly just finished: it's called "Two Owls". The painting reappears in the midst of World War II. A woman finds it in the apartment of her husband's lover. The general of the Red Army was just found dead there. He died in the arms of his concubine. Torn between ambiguous feelings of grief and anger the widow has to make a decision. She also needs to retain her composure as the military police is already waiting outside. The last story happens in present time. A grand-daughter of the woman painter from the the first episode discovers that the only piece that was left from her grandmother's work has been bought by a stranger. The current owner does not want to give it away. And so a young man has to ask himself if he should flout moral principles and steal the painting to do his girlfriend a favor.

It tells the story of Teresa, a 54-year-old woman who works as a domestic employee in a family home in Buenos Aires. For decades she has taken refuge in the routine of her tasks, but now that the family has decided to sell the house, her life begins to totter.

Swollen up by the spring inundation, the river falls down on the lowlands and before eventually throwing rocks and silts in the sea, gathers them here and there in the middle of the river. In several days, even sometimes overnight, in these shoals rather large islands are created. Soil of such an island is rich and fertile. An old man and his young granddaughter decide to grow corn on this island. But soldiers pass by.

Set in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi in 1992. Friends Eka and Natia look to leave childhood behind as they ignore societal customs and work to escape their turbulent family lives.

Desert noon in a Bedouin village in Southern Israel. Jalila is hosting an awkward celebration - the marriage of her husband to a second, much younger wife - while trying to conceal the insult that boils inside her. Her daughter Layla is preoccupied with a different matter. Her secret, strictly forbidden, love affair with Anuar was just unveiled by her mother. Jalila believes that the world is harsh and cruel, and the only way to win - is to keep your mouth shut, your head as high as possible without raising too much attention, and struggle from inside the limits of the traditional world surrounding you. Layla believes that there are no limits to the world surrounding her. Everything can be hers if she only wished hard enough. But, as the story unfolds, they each fail in her individual battle. Their whole family falls apart and everything they believe in shatters. Now, the two women are forced to understand that, if they wish to survive, they will have to start seeing the world from each other's eyes.

A 50-year-old housewife, Manana, struggles with her dilemma - she has to choose between her family life and her passion, writing, which she had repressed for years - she decides to follow her passion and plunges herself into writing, sacrificing to it mentally and physically.

Andres (35) and his son Pedro (12) live in blue-collar neighborhood of Caracas and they hardly see each other. While Andres uses his time with his jobs, Pedro walks around the streets playing with his friends and learning from the violent place that surrounds him.

Father remembers the old tradition: the water will not return unless sacrifice is made.

A young refugee and his mother flee war and ethnic cleansing in the breakaway Georgian region of Abkhazia, leaving his father behind. After arriving in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi, the young boy encounters difficulties with his mother, and begins a lonely journey back to Abkhazia to find his father.

Modern time Tbilisi, Georgia. Cops arrest jobless heroine addict Checkie, 45, and give him 2 days to introduce Ika, 16, to drugs, so that they could blackmail Ika's politician father. If Checkie agrees to cooperate he'll get paid, if not he'll go to jail. Checkie desperately needs money for his family and he agrees. Cops give him 2 days to set up everything. Checkie takes Ika to shoot up, but at the very last moment Checkie changes his mind.

Georgian wrestler Kakhi travels to Brooklyn to help his son out of a gambling debt.

In February of 1921, When Soviet Red Army invaded independent Sakartvelo (Georgia), government decided to take all precious antique, golden, art and holy treasure from the country and escape to France. They commissioned Ekvtime Takaishvili as a guardian of this treasure, who kept, saved and defended all these unique items from museums, court cases, collectors, gangsters, Nazis in his emigration during 24 years. He did not lose any item and brought back whole treasure to his homeland Tbilisi, Sakartvelo in 1945. Holy Church and People named him as "Man of God". This is a story of great love, struggle and patriotism, which shows how human can be above all the temptations and always keeping immortal values in life.

The Sun of the Sleepless. The film is about a doctor named Gela Bendeliani (Elgudzha Burduli) and his wealthless family in Tbilisi in Soviet Georgia. In the film Gela Bendeliani has an unlimited capacity for generosity and forgiveness.

Vicente recently got back to Chile after living in LA. He's now on vacation from a school full of people he can't relate to. He is young, reckless and kind of a loner. Spending summer at his parents' beach house in Chile, its days of lying on the sand, swimming and partying - with whoever. But one of those random nights of chasing girls and downing cups of booze changes his life forever. He becomes the main suspect of a hit-and-run incident that caused the death of a local fisherman. "I wasn't the one driving," he says, but his memories are a blur. He was in the car. He was wasted. And the driver he recalls happens to be the son of a powerful politician. His case, is not an easy one. Slowly but steadily, power, manipulation and guilt will unravel, precipitating Vicente into a downward spiral that brings his sweet summer vacations to a bitter end.
