Their debut extended play, Metal & Dust, was released in February 2013 by Metal & Dust Recordings, while their debut album, If You Wait, was released a few months later in September. The album reached No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart and was certified Double Platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). Yoann Lemoine was born in Tassin-la-Demi-Lune, near Lyon to a mother of Polish-Jewish origin. Rhye is an R&B musical project of Canadian singer Mike Milosh. It originally consisted of him and Danish instrumentalist Robin Hannibal. They released the singles "Open" and "The Fall" online without much detail, which led to speculation about the band. Their debut album, Woman, was released on March 4, 2013. In June 2013, the album was longlisted for the 2013 Polaris Music Prize. In 2017, it was reported that Robin Hannibal was no longer a member of Rhye and that the project had evolved into a music collective led by Milosh and focused around the associated live band. Their second album, Blood, was released on February 2, 2018, and was largely written, produced, and performed by Milosh.

New-age music is broadly defined as relaxing, even "meditative", music that is primarily instrumental. Unlike relaxing forms of classical music, new-age music makes greater use of electronica and non-Western instrumentation. There is some debate on what can be considered "new-age music"; for example several musicians in Celtic music or Smooth jazz have expressed annoyance at being labeled "new-age musicians". Ry Cuming, better known by his stage name RY X, is an Australian singer and musician. He was the first artist signed to the Stockholm-based label Dumont Dumont.

RY X was born on Woodford Island in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales, where he became a surfer.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, RY X mentioned Pearl Jam and Jeff Buckley as his greatest influences. He started writing music at 16, after he heard Buckley's album Grace. Bloo is the debut extended play by American model, singer and songwriter Kacy Hill. It was released through GOOD Music, Def Jam Recordings and PMR Recordings on 9 October 2015.

The Peoria Symphony Orchestra is an American orchestra based in Peoria, Illinois conducted by George Stelluto. Founded in 1897 as Bradley University's Bradley Symphony Orchestra, it is the fourteenth oldest orchestra in the United States. In 1915, the orchestra was incorporated as the Peoria Symphony Orchestra.

Ásgeir Trausti Einarsson (Icelandic pronunciation: ​[ˈauːsceir̥ ˈtʰrœistɪ ˈeiːnar̥sɔn]; born 1 July 1992) is an Icelandic singer-songwriter and musician. In his Icelandic releases, he was credited as Ásgeir Trausti. In 2013, he started using the mononym Ásgeir as his recording name. He performs with his own band, the Ásgeir Trausti Band. He also plays guitar in the Icelandic band The Lovely Lion.

Ásgeir's debut album Dýrð í dauðaþögn was released in 2012. The lead single, "Sumargestur", made it to number two on the Tónlist, an unofficial but widely quoted Icelandic Singles Chart, followed by the single "Leyndarmál" (six weeks at number 1 on Tónlist) and the title track "Dýrð í dauðaþögn" from the album (three weeks at #1 on Tónlist).
