On a unique underwater voyage spanning millions of years in prehistory, our dauntless presenter explores seven different seas, encountering an extraordinary variety of underwater life from seven different eras. His journey culminates in the late Cretaceous period - the most dangerous period ever in the ocean; the time of the awesome mosasaurs, a 20-metre-long monster with a mouth that could bite a tree in half. Before this period there are many other challenges the explorer must tackle first. In the Triassic period 230 million years ago, he meets and attempts to feed a six-metre nothosaur and the serpent-necked tanystropheus. Further back 400 million years ago and the plants have yet to evolve. The seas are terrorised by giant sea scorpions and even more monstrous, the 12-metre long tentacled orthocones. How does our expert plan to approach these terrible creatures?

Starting from the Cambrian Period (530 MYA) and ending at the Early Triassic Period (248 MYA), Walking With Monsters shows the life and death struggles prehistoric creatures before the dinosaurs went through. It also portrays an accurate picture of our first ancestors.

This program is made by the Discovery Network, and the show's 'full-name' has the suffix phrase of "The Questions of Our Life", after curiosity. While the show was being planned, Discovery's game-plan was to air twelve one-hour episodes each season for five years. However, when "Curiosity..." did premiere in August of 2011, it began a weekly broadcast schedule that ran the full first season, which ended with the 13th episode on November, 20, 2011. Similarly, the second season also followed the weekly format, between October 7, 2012 and January 27, 2013. Since then, there has only been one episode broadcast under the umbrella title of "Curiosity: The Questions of Our Life". This was the episode named "Stonehenge", which was shown on July 20, 2014. Two websites have emerged since the series debut, both of which deal with analogous subject matter, which achieve their individual goals strategically.

Steve Irwin and his wife Terri run a wildlife refuge in Australia which houses many of the continent's most dangerous animals, including the much feared crocodile and numerous venomous snakes. Steve's speciality is the capture and relocation of crocs that have ventured too close to populated areas. Steve prefers to use ropes, sticks and his brute strength to catch the crocs.
