Mutant League Records is an American independent record label based in Chicago. Established in 2012, Mutant League has released albums for seminal pop-punk groups such as Seaway, Belmont, and As It Is among others. As of 2018, the label has sold over 100,000 albums worldwide.

Owner Nate Steinheimer commented on the label's inception, "I spent my weekends sweating through Descendents T-shirts in crowded Chicago basements [...] I aim to house artists that influence people to become as passionate about music as I was growing up." In July 2013, Mutant League announced their partnership with Sony RED and fellow Chicago label Victory for worldwide distribution.

The label contributed music for the soundtrack of the 2018 Xbox One/PlayStation 4 title Mutant Football League, which included tracks from Seaway, Belmont, Vacant Home, Ambleside, & Lucky Boys Confusion.

Fog Lake is the musical alias of Canadian singer-songwriter Aaron Powell. Powell began writing and recording songs in his hometown of Glovertown, Newfoundland. In 2014, Powell moved from cassette label Birdtapes to become part of the New York based Orchid Tapes, run by Warren Hildebrand. Powell's recordings have been described as "a complex collage of nebulous angst and heartfelt nostalgia". Fog Lake's latest full-length release entitled Tragedy Reel was released on April 23rd, 2021.

Noise Pop Festival is an annual week-long music and arts festival that takes place throughout the San Francisco Bay Area produced by Noise Pop. From 1993 to 2020, and then resuming in 2022, Noise Pop Festival has provided exposure to some emerging artists, many of which have gone on to widespread acclaim, including The White Stripes, Modest Mouse, Death Cab for Cutie, The Flaming Lips, The Shins, Fleet Foxes, Bright Eyes and Yoko Ono.

The Spirit of the Beehive is a 1973 Spanish drama film directed by Víctor Erice. The film was Erice's debut and is considered a masterpiece of Spanish cinema. The film focuses on a young girl named Ana and her fascination with the 1931 American horror film Frankenstein and also explores her family life and schooling.

Alexander Giannascoli, better known by his stage names Alex G or, formerly, (Sandy) Alex G, is an American musician, producer, and singer-songwriter. He started his career with DIY self-releases on Bandcamp and began building up an audience with his label debut, DSU (2014), released on Orchid Tapes to critical acclaim from various publications. He later signed with Lucky Number, who reissued his earlier releases, Rules and Trick (2012). In 2015, he signed with Domino Recording Company and released his sixth studio album, Beach Music. He followed it in 2017 with Rocket, which received further acclaim and recognition. Giannascoli's eighth studio album, House of Sugar, was released in 2019, and his ninth album God Save the Animals was released on September 23, 2022.

Backwell School is a secondary academy school in Backwell, Bristol, Somerset, England. It was considered to be one of the best-performing state schools in England, leading results at both GCSE and A level in the area and consistently being rated "Outstanding" by Ofsted. It has now been rated "Good" by Ofsted.

Forth Wanderers Football Club are a Scottish football club based in the village of Forth, South Lanarkshire. Formed in 1904 they compete in the West of Scotland League Second Division and play in red strips with a white trim with a second strip of all black.

Flower mantises are praying mantis species that display behaviors of mimicry. These insects have specific colorations and behaviors that mimic flowers in their surrounding habitats. The flower mantises are non-nocturnal group with a single ancestry (a clade), but the majority of the known species belong to family Hymenopodidea. These animals use a special form of camouflage referred to as Aggressive mimicry, which is used not only to avoid predation but to attract prey as well. This strategy has been observed in other mantises including the stick mantis and dead-leaf mantis. The observed behavior of these mantises includes positioning themselves on a plant and either inserting themselves within the irradiance or on the foliage of the plants until a prey insect comes within range. Many species of flower mantises are popular as pets.

Jilian Medford, better known by her stage name Ian Sweet, is an American indie rock musician from Los Angeles, California.

Melina Mae Cortez Duterte, better known by her stage name Jay Som, is an American, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and mixing engineer. Her debut record Everybody Works was released on Double Denim Records & Polyvinyl Records in March 2017, which was preceded by Turn Into, a collection of songs that first gained her attention as a singer-songwriter. The follow-up to Everybody Works and Jay Som's second home studio album, Anak Ko, was released on August 23, 2019 via Polyvinyl, Lucky Number and Inertia.

Useless ID is an Israeli punk rock band, formed in Haifa, Israel in 1994. Known as one of the most successful Middle Eastern punk bands worldwide.

Candida Mary Doyle (born 25 August 1963) is an English musician who is keyboard player and occasional backing vocalist with the band Pulp, which she joined in 1984. She joined her brother, drummer Magnus Doyle in the line-up, replacing a previous keyboard player who had left the band.

Doyle attended piano lessons from age 8, but did not practise despite finding the experience enjoyable. At age 16 Doyle was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis.

During Doyle's first few years in the group, Pulp were not enjoying financial success; she has been recorded as saying that she spent more money on the band than she made from it. She kept jobs in two toy shops in Manchester, before being sacked from one for a "lack of dedication". Although Pulp "sort of split up" in the period around 1986, they went on to release Freaks in 1987 with Doyle on board for her first album.

Shoegaze is a subgenre of indie and alternative rock characterized by its ethereal mixture of obscured vocals, guitar distortion and effects, feedback, and overwhelming volume. It emerged in Ireland and the United Kingdom in the late 1980s among neo-psychedelic groups who usually stood motionless during live performances in a detached, non-confrontational state. The name comes from the heavy use of effects pedals, as the performers were often looking down at their pedals during concerts.

Matthew Adam Tavares (born September 15, 1990), also known as Matty, is a Canadian musician, songwriter, and music producer. He is best known as a founder of the instrumental group BADBADNOTGOOD, with whom he released five studio albums and produced with for other artists. Tavares released his first solo album in 2018 and has since released a series of solo and collaborative genre-spanning albums. As a songwriter, he has helped pen songs for the likes of Post Malone, Rosalía, Camilla Cabello, Kendrick Lamar, and Kali Uchis, and often works with producer Frank Dukes.

Matthew Adam Tavares was born on September 15, 1990, and grew up in Mississauga, Ontario where he attended the local preparatory school Mentor College. He attended Humber College where he studied jazz performance and later met drummer Alexander Sowinski and bassist Chester Hansen in the program. In 2010, they formed BADBADNOTGOOD. The band had viral success in 2011 after posting jazz covers of Odd Future online, and released their debut record that Fall. He withdrew from school in February 2012.
