Neuro: Supernatural Detective, known in Japan as Majin Tantei Nōgami Neuro (Japanese: 魔人探偵 脳噛ネウロ, lit. "Demon Detective Neuro Nōgami"), is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yūsei Matsui. The series follows Neuro Nōgami, a demon who depends on mysteries for sustenance. Having consumed all the mysteries in the demon world, Neuro travels to the human world in search of more. There, Neuro recruits high school student Yako Katsuragi as a facade for a detective agency. The supernatural-themed manga was created because Matsui considered himself unable to draw humans.
The manga was originally serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump from February 2005 to April 2009. The individual chapters were collected and released in 23 tankōbon (collected volumes) by Shueisha. A 25-episode anime series directed by Hiroshi Kōjina and animated by Madhouse was originally aired between 2007 and 2008 on Nippon Television. In 2011, the anime series was licensed by Viz Media and uploaded to the company's website. Neuro: Supernatural Detective has spawned a light novel, two audio albums, two video games, and other merchandise.
The Guest (Korean: 손 the guest; RR: Son the guest) is a 2018 South Korean television series about exorcism and shamanism that stars Kim Dong-wook, Kim Jae-wook, and Jung Eun-chae. It aired from September 12 to November 1, 2018 as OCN's first series on the newly created Wednesdays and Thursdays at 23:00 (KST) time slot.
Despite not airing in prime time, the series received a peak rating of 4% nationwide.
Yoon Hwa-Pyung, the young son of a shaman family, is psychic and can see ghosts. After a villager is possessed and makes eye contact with Hwa-Pyung, he too is possessed by a powerful spirit called Park Il-Do. His mother is then mysteriously killed and his grandmother commits suicide. His father blames him for the deaths. Priest Yang is invited to perform an exorcism on the boy, along with the young priest-in-training, Priest Choi. Hwa-Pyung whispers that he has something to tell Priest Choi, who leans in and is subsequently possessed, with the spirit leaving Hwa-Pyung's body.
Darker than Black , is a Japanese anime television series created and directed by Tensai Okamura and animated by studio Bones. Twenty-five episodes were broadcast on MBS, TBS and their affiliated stations from April to September 2007. The series is set in a world where a spatial anomaly identified as "Heaven's Gate" appeared in South America and was followed by "Hell's Gate" in Tokyo, altering the sky and wreaking havoc on the landscapes. People with special abilities labeled as Contractors emerged shortly afterwards. The series follows agent Hei and his comrades in the Syndicate organization, operating in an vastly altered version of contemporary Tokyo to uncover the mysteries of Hell's Gate.
Partners for Justice (Korean: 검법남녀; Hanja: 檢法男女; RR: Gumbeobnamnyeo) is a 2018 South Korean television series starring Jung Jae-young and Jeong Yu-mi. The first series aired on MBC in May 2018 on Mondays and Tuesdays at 22:00 (KST) time slot. In October 2018, MBC announced that it was renewed for a second season, which premiered in 2019. Kang Seung-hyun and No Min-woo were announced as second series leads. It aired on MBC from June 3 to July 29, 2019.
