"Wizards of Waverly Place" focuses on the Russos. A typical family, which includes a mom, Theresa Russo; a dad, Jerry Russo; a son, Justin Russo; a daughter, Alex Russo; and another son, Max Russo. The kids and the family live normal lives but what their friends don't know is the kids are wizards in training and the dad was a former wizard!

Sonny Monroe is destined for stardom after Hollywood producers see a film that she made and put on the Internet. Sonny is soon whisked away from her home in Wisconsin and arrives in Hollywood where she is offered a starring role in her favorite TV show that will change her life.

The series follows Jessie Prescott, a small-town young woman with big dreams who, rebelling against her strict father, decides to leave the Texas military base where she grew up and move to New York City. She accepts a job as a nanny and moves into a multi-million-dollar penthouse on the Upper West Side with the wealthy Ross family which includes: jet-setting parents Morgan and Christina; their four rambunctious children Emma, Luke, Ravi, and Zuri; and the family pet (and Ravi's companion) Mr. (later Mrs.) Kipling, a 7-foot (2-meter) Asian water monitor that turns out to be female. With a whole new world of experiences open to her, Jessie embarks on new adventures in the big city as she grows to rely on the love and support of the children in her care. Assisting her are the family's sarcastic butler Bertram and the building's 20-year-old doorman Tony.

The adventures of best friends CeCe Jones and Rocky Blue who, with the help of Rocky's brother Ty and his best friend Deuce Martinez, fulfill their dreams of becoming professional dancers when they land roles as dancers on a local show, "Shake It Up, Chicago!". CeCe and Rocky deal with their circumstances, by adapting and maintaining their social status at school while watching CeCe's little brother, Flynn, and the antics of their TV show which includes matching the skills of their competition, notably brother and sister, Gunther and Tinka. The show also has storylines which include Rocky's brother, who also has dance and rapping skills.

Set in Washington, D.C., the series follows K.C. Cooper, a high school math genius, who gets recruited by her parents after she discovers that they are secretly undercover spies working for an agency called The Organization. Her brother tries to help because he feels left out and eventually joins the team, and his desire leads his mother and father to get a new robot child. Each episode centers on K.C. and her family as they contend with common familial issues while also performing missions to save the country, with a recurring storyline involving thwarting the plans of a criminal organization.
