Darkher ist eine englische Metal- und Rock-Band aus West Yorkshire, die 2014 gegründet wurde.

Nachdem sie bereits zuvor in der Band The Steals tätig gewesen war und dort 2006 und 2009 eine EP und ein Album veröffentlicht hatte, gründete Jayn Hanna „Darkher“ Wissenberg im Jahr 2014 die Band Darkher. 2013 erschien bei Faun Records eine selbstbetitelte EP, der sich bei Prophecy Productions die EP The Kingdom Field (2014) und das Debütalbum Realms, das ein Buch als Beilage enthält, anschloss. Vor dem Vertragsschluss mit Prophecy Productions hatte Jayn Wissenberg The Kingdom Field in Eigenveröffentlichung mit einer Auflage von 100 Stück veröffentlicht. Live war die Band auch tätig; sie spielte unter anderem 2015 auf dem Prophecy Fest in Balve und im selben Jahr auf dem Roadburn Festival. Neben Jayn Wissenberg, die neben dem Gesang auch die E-Gitarre und die Produktion übernimmt, besteht die Besetzung aus dem Gitarristen und Bassisten Martin T. Wissenberg und dem Schlagzeuger Shaun „Winter“ Taylor-Steels.

Planning for Burial is the musical project of American musician and singer-songwriter Thom Wasluck. Based in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Wasluck started to perform as "Burial" in 2005 and released the debut album, Leaving in 2009. Wasluck plays all instruments during both his home recordings and live performances.

Before performing as Planning for Burial, Wasluck played in local bands and recorded music with his 4 track recorder. In 2009, he released his debut album, Leaving, which was re-released by Enemies List Home Recordings in 2010. Following the re-release of the album, Wasluck recorded and released a series of tapes, EPs and splits in the following years.

In 2014, Planning for Burial released its second studio album, Desideratum, through The Flenser record label. In 2016, Planning for Burial released the As a Lover single through New York based record label The Native Sound. Planning for Burial has shared the stage with a wide range of music acts, including Chelsea Wolfe, Have A Nice Life and Deafheaven.

Triple Crown Records is a New York-based rock music record label created in 1997 by Fred Feldman. The label features such artists as The Receiving End of Sirens and The Dear Hunter, and launched the career of Brand New in 2001. It is a part of the Eastwest family of record labels, a subsidiary of Warner Music Group, and is distributed by the Alternative Distribution Alliance.

Wrekmeister Harmonies,led by musician and composer JR Robinson, is an experimental music collective. Named after the Béla Tarr movieWerckmeister Harmonies, it combines elements of drone music, serialism, post-rock, and heavy metal. Wrekmeister Harmonies typically performs a single composition, often almost an hour in length, beginning with a slow build, shifting into a cathartic middle section, concluding with either a peaceful or disquieting resolution.

In 2013, Wrekmeister Harmonies was signed to independent label Thrill Jockey, toured internationally with Grails and headlined in Europe.

Wrekmeister Harmonies' albums have been featured in year-end lists of major publications and were praised by music critics. Saby Reyes-Kulkarni of Pitchfork Media rated "Night of Your Ascension" as 7.8/10 and listed it among his top ten metal albums of 2015. John Dornan of The Quietus included "Then It All Came Down" among his "Quietus Albums of the Year 2014".Spinselected “You've Always Meant So Much to Me” as one of the “20 Best Metal Albums of 2013,” and Grayson Currin ofPitchforkrated the album as 7.9/10. Andy Gensler of theVillage Voicelisted “Recordings Made in Public Spaces” as one of the top 10 Pazz and Jop albums of 2009.

Totally Unicorn is an Australian metal band originally from Wollongong, New South Wales. Forming in 2010, the band are best known for their highly energetic and unpredictable live shows, which often feature partial or complete nudity, jumping off the stage or other raised platforms and interacting with individual audience members. Marriages was an American rock band from Los Angeles, California that formed in 2011. The band's final lineup consisted of vocalist and guitarist Emma Ruth Rundle, bassist Greg Burns and drummer Andrew Clinco.

Kristina Esfandiari(born March 4, 1988) is a singer-songwriter who writes music and performs under the monikerMiserableand with the band King Woman. She is also the founding member of the artistic project NGHTCRWLR.

Esfandiari was raised in a "charismatic Christian church". At the insistence of her mother, she joined the choir at her church aged 15, before later becoming a worship leader. At 22, she moved to the Bay Area.

Kristina is best known as the lead vocalist for the band King Woman. Esfandiari began King Woman as a solo project in 2009, after cutting ties with her religious upbringing. The project later became a band, after she was joined by two of her childhood friends, Joey Raygoza and Colin Gallagher.

Chelsea Joy Wolfe (born November 14, 1983) is an American singer-songwriter and musician. Her work has blended elements of gothic rock, doom metal, and folk music.

Raised in Northern California with a country musician father, Wolfe began writing and recording songs during her childhood. She earned underground critical acclaim for her releases, The Grime and the Glow (2010) and Apokalypsis (2011), which blended gothic and folk elements, as well as her following albums, Pain Is Beauty (2013), Abyss (2015), and Hiss Spun (2017), in which Wolfe incorporated elements of neofolk, electronic music and heavy metal.

Chelsea Wolfe was born in Roseville, California, She is of English, Norwegian, and German descent. She was raised in Roseville and Sacramento. Her father was in a country band and owned a home studio. By the age of 7, she had written her first poem and by the age of 9, had written and recorded songs which she later described as "basically Casio-based gothy R&B songs".

The Native Sound is an independent record label based in New York City. It was founded in 2013 by Julio Anta. The label has released a number of dream pop, shoegaze and folk music releases on cassette tape, limited edition vinyl, and digital download. The label's roster includes John Vanderslice, Andrew Koji Shiraki, Miserable, King Woman, Funeral Advantage, Plastic Flowers, Sheer, Drowse and Vow.

Kristin Hayter (born June 17, 1986), known professionally as Lingua Ignota (Latin for "unknown language"), is an American classically trained multi-instrumentalist. In 2017, she self-released the albums Let the Evil of His Own Lips Cover Him and All Bitches Die under the Lingua Ignota moniker, which spread through word-of-mouth. Lingua Ignota's music caught the attention of Profound Lore Records, who re-issued All Bitches Die and released her third studio album, Caligula in 2019. She draws on her experiences as a survivor of domestic violence for musical and lyrical inspiration, and describes her music as "survivor anthems". Hayter is originally from Southern California and resided in Pennsylvania for a time before moving to Chicago.

Roadburn Festival is an international music festival held in Tilburg, Netherlands every April since 1999. It was set up as a spin-off from the Roadburn music blog founded by Jurgen van den Brand and Walter Hoeijmakers. Originally focused on stoner rock, Roadburn grew into a major event spanning the entire spectrum of heavy rock and experimental music. The key staff involved with running the festival are Frens Frijns (managing director), Walter Hoeijmakers (promoter, artistic director) and Becky Laverty (press, communication, side programme).

The 2019 edition of Roadburn took place on Thursday, April 11 to Sunday, April 14, 2019.

Have a Nice Life is an American post-punk band founded in Connecticut, United States, in 2000 by Dan Barrett and Tim Macuga.

Have a Nice Life was formed in 2000 by Dan Barrett and Tim Macuga of Connecticut. They have mentioned the likes of My Bloody Valentine, Joy Division, New Order, Earth, Sunn O))), Xasthur, Lurker of Chalice, Nine Inch Nails, Swans, Sisters of Mercy, Kraftwerk, and the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche as influences on their music.

Their debut album, Deathconsciousness, has received critical acclaim since its release in 2008. It initially did not receive much recognition but has since been hailed as a modern masterpiece through discussions on online communities and word of mouth.

Drowse is the musical project of American musician and producer Kyle Bates. Based in Portland, Oregon, Bates founded the project in 2013 and released the debut album, Soon Asleep, in 2015.
