"The Simpsons Theme", also referred to as "The Simpsons Main Title Theme" in album releases, is the theme music of the animated television series The Simpsons. It plays during the opening sequence and was composed by Danny Elfman in 1989, after series creator Matt Groening approached him requesting a theme. The piece has been noted by Elfman as the most popular of his career.

The Jerky Boys is an American comedy act from Queens, New York, whose routine consists of prank telephone calls and other related skits. Formed in 1989, the Jerky Boys were made up of childhood friends Johnny Brennan and Kamal Ahmed. After Ahmed left the act in 2000, the Jerky Boys continued on as a solo act featuring only Brennan, before going on hiatus after the 2001 release of their final album, The Jerky Tapes.

The calls were made by calling unsuspecting recipients, or in response to classified advertisements placed in local New York-based newspapers. Each call was made in character, usually with over-the-top voices influenced by the duo's family members.

According to their current record label, Laugh.com, the act has sold over 8,000,000 CDs since their 1993 debut.

Homestar Runner is an American Flash animated comedy web series and website created by Mike and Matt Chapman, known collectively as The Brothers Chaps. The series centers on the adventures of a large and diverse cast of characters, headed by the titular character, Homestar Runner. It uses a blend of surreal humour, self-parody, satire, and references to popular culture, in particular video games, classic television, and popular music.

Alfred Matthew "Weird Al" Yankovic ( YANG-kə-vik; born October 23, 1959), known professionally as "Weird Al" Yankovic, is an American singer, musician, and actor who is known for humorous songs that make light of pop culture and often parody specific songs by contemporary musical acts. He also performs original songs that are style pastiches of the work of other acts, as well as polka medleys of several popular songs, most of which feature his trademark accordion.

Since having a comedy song aired in 1976, Yankovic has sold more than 12 million albums (as of 2007), recorded more than 150 parodies and original songs, and performed more than 1,000 live shows. His work has earned him five Grammy Awards and a further 11 nominations, four gold records, and six platinum records in the U.S. His first top ten Billboard album (Straight Outta Lynwood) and single ("White & Nerdy") were both released in 2006, nearly three decades into his career. His latest album, Mandatory Fun (2014), became his first number-one album during its debut week.

Group X was a short-lived British artistic movement in the years after the First World War. Several of its members – among them Wyndham Lewis – had been part of the Vorticist movement before the War. The group held a single exhibition in 1920; others were planned, but never happened.

In 1920 the former members of the pre-War Vorticist movement abruptly left the London Group, of which they had been part. Six of these artists – Jessica Dismorr, Frederick Etchells, Cuthbert Hamilton, Wyndham Lewis, William Roberts and Edward Wadsworth – were joined by the sculptor Frank Dobson, Charles Ginner, the American Edward McKnight Kauffer and John Turnbull to found Group X.

Michael Thomas Green (born July 30, 1971) is a Canadian comedian, actor, filmmaker, and talk show host. Known for his own unique brand of shock comedy, he found mainstream prominence via his MTV show aptly titled The Tom Green Show (1994–2000). Green is also known for his roles in the Hollywood films Road Trip (2000), Charlie's Angels (2000), Freddy Got Fingered (2001; directed by Green himself), Stealing Harvard (2002) and Shred (2008). He was briefly married to actress Drew Barrymore (2001–2002), who co-starred with him in Charlie's Angels and Freddy Got Fingered.

In June 2003, Green served as a guest host on Late Show with David Letterman, which led to him hosting his own late-night talk show on MTV titled The New Tom Green Show (2003 only). From 2006 until 2011, he hosted his internet talk show Tom Green's House Tonight from his living room, and began performing stand-up comedy in 2010. From October 2013 to November 2014, Green hosted the weekly talk show Tom Green Live on American cable network AXS TV.

Daniel Lawrence Whitney (born February 17, 1963), known professionally by his stage name Larry the Cable Guy, is an American stand-up comedian, actor, producer, singer and former radio personality, with a career spanning over 30 years.

He was one of the members of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, a comedy troupe which included Bill Engvall, Ron White, and Jeff Foxworthy (with whom he has starred on Blue Collar TV).

Larry the Cable Guy has released seven comedy albums, of which three have been certified gold by the RIAA for shipments of 500,000 copies and in addition has starred in three Blue Collar Comedy Tour–related films, as well as in Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector, Delta Farce, and Witless Protection, as well as voicing Mater in the Cars franchise. Whitney's catchphrase "Git-R-Done!" is also the title of his book.
