I loved the ending.. (view spoiler)[they got married and had kids and lived happily after that.. but I just felt really sad when hana died.. I know it was inevitable but still..I cried alot when she died... T_T *sob*That moment on Hana's death bed. When she once again expressed her love for Vivi, and how she told him that the years they had spent together had made her so happy. That was just...so beautiful and painful at the same time. And then their children, being 'more demon than human' yet also being able to hold flowers. Just...wow... This is one of the most powerful endings to a manga I've read so far. If Hana had become immortal it wouldn't have been as powerful and good an ending. (Sometimes, as sad as it is, a bittersweet ending can be far better and more powerful than a simple perfect happy ending.)Having Hana die, but leaving him with children evokes much stronger emotions than having her become immortal. The sense of loss from Hana dying compounded with the happiness from the children makes this the perfect ending. If Hana's life had been extended, the manga would have been diminished. The whole point of the story was that Vivi loves something that is fragile and beautiful, much like the flowers that wilt so quickly. Turning Hana into "something else" would ruin their purity of love; that is, Hana loved Vivi as a demon and Vivi loved Hana as a human, as depicted in this manga at the very beginning. And this ending is, most probably, what the mangaka ultimately aims. And anyways, even before they officially "fell in love" they both understood that her "forever" and his "forever" were two separate things, never meant to merge. She was born a human; a flower in his eyes, and they both one day knew that she will have to wilt away, like all the flowers she loved giving him before. That's why the writer added so much part where "flower will wilt when Vivi touch it".The fact that he stayed with her and loved her throughout the horrors of an aging mind and body and a man who never changed, says something about them. And the fact that Vivi still continues to love her even after her death makes me seriously want to believe in true love. Plus, she lives on in memories of every demon she's met, and in the immortal lives of her children. (hide spoiler)]
