EXID (; Korean: 이엑스아이디; short for "Exceed in Dreaming"), is a South Korean girl group formed in 2012. The group currently consists of five members: Solji, LE, Hani, Hyelin and Jeonghwa. EXID debuted in February 2012, with the single "Whoz That Girl". Though the album gained some attention, it was not until 2014 that the group unexpectedly gained popularity with the single "Up & Down", which reached number one on the Gaon Singles Chart four months after release due to a fan-recording of a live performance becoming a viral video.

EXID released their second EP Ah Yeah in April 2015, to commercial success, and followed this with their first studio album Street (2016) and various other EPs over the years. In May 2019, EXID announced its indefinite hiatus for Korean group activities due to various members leaving their agency Banana Culture, but remained active in their Japanese releases such as their studio albums Trouble (2019) and B.L.E.S.S.E.D (2020).

Kim Hyo-jung, better known by her stage name Hyolyn (효린), is a South Korean singer and songwriter, now under the management of her own self-started production company Bridʒ. She is a former member of the South Korean girl group Sistar and their sub-unit Sistar19.

GFriend was a South Korean girl group formed by Source Music in 2015. The group consisted of six members: Sowon, Yerin, Eunha, Yuju, SinB, and Umji. They debuted with the extended play (EP) Season of Glass on January 15, 2015 and won several female rookie awards, garnering momentum early on despite being from a small company.

Dreamcatcher is a South Korean girl group formed by Happyface Entertainment. The group consists of seven members: JiU, SuA, Siyeon, Handong, Yoohyeon, Dami and Gahyeon. They made their official debut on January 13, 2017, with the single album Nightmare.

AOA is a South Korean girl group formed by FNC Entertainment. The original 2012 eight-member line-up included: Choa, Jimin, Yuna, Youkyung, Hyejeong, Mina, Seolhyun and Chanmi. Youkyung left the group in 2016, while Choa left in 2017 due to mental health reasons, followed by Mina in 2019 to pursue her acting career, and Jimin in 2020 due to bullying allegations. Yuna and Seolhyun left in 2021 and 2022 respectively after their contracts expired. The group currently consists of the duo Hyejeong and Chanmi.

The discography of South Korean girl group Loona consists of three reissues, six extended plays (EPs), and 12 single albums. From October 2016 to March 2018, the group's label, Blockberry Creative, released individual single albums for each Loona member as part of an 18-month pre-debut project. In between these releases, EPs performed by Loona subgroups Loona 1/3, Loona Odd Eye Circle, and Loona yyxy were released following each subgroup members' respective single albums. The pre-debut project eventually culminated in the release of "Favorite" on August 7, 2018, marking the group's first 12-member release. The single later appeared on [ + + ], which was released on August 20 with the single, "Hi High". The EP peaked at number two on South Korea's Gaon Album Chart and was later reissued as [X X] on February 19, 2019, with the lead single "Butterfly". The reissue reached number four on the Gaon Album Chart, while the single marked Loona's first appearance on one of Gaon's singles charts, reaching number 90 on the Download Chart. The group's second extended play, [#], arrived on February 5, 2020, with the lead single "So What". While the EP reached number two on the Gaon Album Chart and became their best selling effort to date, "So What" went on to be Loona's highest-charting song on one of Gaon's singles charts, reaching number 68 on the Download Chart.

세븐틴(SEVENTEEN)은 플레디스 엔터테인먼트 소속으로 2015년 5월 26일에 데뷔한 대한민국의 13인조 보이 그룹이다. 그룹 내에는 퍼포먼스, 보컬, 힙합팀이 존재한다. '세븐틴' 이라는 팀명은 팀 인원 13 + 3개의 유닛 (보컬팀, 힙합팀, 퍼포먼스팀) 우리는 하나라는 뜻인 + 1로, 13+3+1=17 이란 뜻이다.

그룹명은 13명의 멤버와 3개의 유닛(보컬팀, 퍼포먼스팀, 힙합팀) 그리고 우리(SEVENTEEN)는 하나임을 뜻해 13+3+1=17 SEVENTEEN 을 뜻한다. 최근에는 13명의 멤버와 3개의 유닛(보컬팀, 퍼포먼스팀, 힙합팀) 그리고 우리(SEVENTEEN)가 아닌 팬덤 '캐럿'을 의미해 또 다른 13+3+1=17 SEVENTEEN 을 뜻하기도 한다. 세븐틴 몇몇 멤버들은 2012년 연습생 시절부터 데뷔를 준비해 선배 가수들의 뮤직비디오에 출연 혹은 백댄서로 활동하며 데뷔 전 경험을 키웠다.

2015년 5월 2일 세븐틴 프로젝트를 거쳐 5월 26일 데뷔 쇼케이스로 데뷔 무대를 가졌으며, 5월 29일 첫 미니 음반 17 CARAT을 발매했다. 2016년 3월 4일부터 3월 25일까지는 세븐틴 공식 팬클럽 'Carat' 1기를 모집하였다. 팬클럽명인 'Carat(캐럿)'은 보석의 질량 단위를 나타내는 영어 단어 'carat'를 사용하여 세븐틴이라는 다이아몬드를 빛내줄 존재 캐럿은 기수가 지날수록 세븐틴의 가치를 높여준다는 뜻을 지니고 있다.

GFriend (Korean: 여자친구; RR: Yeoja Chingu) is a six-member South Korean girl group formed by Source Music in 2015. The group consists of Sowon, Yerin, Eunha, Yuju, SinB, and Umji. They made their debut with the EP Season of Glass on January 15, 2015. GFriend won several 2015 female rookie awards and has garnered momentum since their debut despite being from a small company. GFriend also became the first-ever girl group to be interviewed for the Grammy Mini Masterclass, an interview series organized by the US Grammy's Museum Experience Prudential Center where artists, music industry workers, and musicians talk about music to influence the youth.

In 2016, they continued their success with their third EP, Snowflake, and won first place on many music shows with the title song, "Rough". They released their first full-length album, LOL, in July 2016. In 2017, GFriend made a comeback with a new concept with their fourth EP, The Awakening, and the pre-orders for the album exceeded 100,000 units. GFriend released their fifth EP, Parallel, in August 2017, and the extended play was re-released a month later under the title Rainbow. In 2018, GFriend held their first concert since debut called Season of GFriend and later their first Asia Tour with the same name. GFriend released their sixth EP, Time for the Moon Night, in April 2018 and the special EP Sunny Summer in July 2018. GFriend made an official Japanese debut with a compilation album, GFriend 1st Best, in May 2018. In January 2019, GFriend released their second full-length album, Time For Us. In July 2019, GFriend released their seventh extended play album, Fever Season. In February 2020, GFriend released their eighth EP, 回:Labyrinth. In July 2020, the group released their ninth extended play, 回:Song of the Sirens. In November 2020, they released their third Korean studio album 回:Walpurgis Night.

Oh My Girl (Korean: 오마이걸; RR: Omaigeol, also stylized as OH MY GIRL and OMG) is a South Korean girl group formed by WM Entertainment. The group is composed of seven members: Hyojung, Mimi, YooA, Seunghee, Jiho, Binnie and Arin. Originally an eight-piece group, JinE left the group in October 2017 due to health issues. Oh My Girl debuted on April 20, 2015, with an eponymous extended play.

Oh My Girl was publicized as the sister group of label-mate group B1A4. On March 29, 2015, teaser images of the eight members were released as well as their concept images. On April 20, the group released their first extended play, Oh My Girl, which included the single "Cupid". They held their debut showcase the same day. They first performed the single on SBS MTV's The Show on April 21.

"Rookie" is a song recorded by South Korean girl group Red Velvet for their fourth extended play of the same name. The song was released on February 1, 2017, as the lead single from the EP. Produced by the American production team The Colleagues and Jamil 'Digi' Chammas who composed the song with Leven Kali, Sara Forsberg, Karl Powell, Harrison Johnson, Russell Steedle, MZMC, Otha 'Vakseen' Davis III and Tay Jasper with Korean lyrics by Jo Yoon-kyung, it is a pop-funk dance track which lyrically compares a girl's lover to a rookie.

Following the release of single, Red Velvet performed the song on various South Korean music programs, namely Music Bank, Inkigayo, The Show, Show Champion, M! Countdown and Show! Music Core. To further promote the song overseas, the group headlined the K-Pop Night Out concert during the 2017 SXSW Conference and Festivals in March 2017 in Austin, Texas. The group then performed at KCON Mexico the next day. They also held a two-day fan meet in Malaysia in May, where they promoted the song's parent album through a mini showcase.

Red Velvet (Korean: 레드벨벳; romanized: Ledeubelbet; Japanese: レッドベルベット; romanized: Reddoberubetto) is a South Korean girl group formed and managed by SM Entertainment. They originally debuted on August 1, 2014, with the single "Happiness" with the four-member line-up of Irene, Seulgi, Wendy and Joy. A fifth member, Yeri, joined the group in March 2015, following the release of their first mini album, Ice Cream Cake. Musically, the work of Red Velvet reflects their own group name: their predominantly-pop "red" side experiments occasionally with electronic and funk, and while their "velvet" side focuses on '90s-influenced R&B with elements of ballad and hip hop. Their genre versatility and hooks have garnered critical praise.

CLC (Korean: 씨엘씨, an acronym for "Crystal Clear") is a South Korean girl group formed by Cube Entertainment in 2015. The group consists of seven members: Seunghee, Yujin, Seungyeon, Sorn, Yeeun, Elkie, and Eunbin. Their debut EP First Love was released on March 19, 2015 with five group members: Seunghee, Yujin, Seungyeon, Sorn and Yeeun. In February 2016, Elkie and Eunbin were added to the group.

The five original members of CLC (Seunghee, Yujin, Seungyeon, Sorn and Yeeun) made their first appearance as back-up dancers for G.NA in 2014. They also modeled for the uniform brand Smart, featuring in a promotional music video with the boy groups Got7 and B1A4. Before their official debut, the group began to gain publicity through street performances that raised money for children with disabilities. These featured on their online reality show CLC's Love Chemistry.
