Tray (Tracy Morgan) is an ex-con who is shocked to see just how much the world has changed when he is released from prison for good behavior after a 15-year stint. Returning to his newly gentrified Brooklyn neighborhood, he discovers that his former girlfriend, Shay (Tiffany Haddish), has married an affable, successful white man (Ryan Gaul) who is helping raise the twins (Taylor Mosby and Dante Hoagland) Tray never knew existed. Wanting nothing more than to connect with his kids, but having neither the money to support them nor himself, Tray falls back on the skills he learned in prison to make ends meet while treading unfamiliar territory.

The successful completion of each task will result in a vision leading to finding the thirty-five. Kevin's problems are that he may not want to do any of these tasks either in seeming harm to himself, in his own selfishness and in seeing some of those he is directed to help as being even more selfish than him. It is made all the more difficult as some of his actions may seem more than just a little odd to his family and friends, especially to Amy who may believe that Kevin is still suffering from his suicidal tendencies. Through it all, Yvette and her colleagues still have to find out what happened to the original thirty-five and why Kevin was spared.

ANGEL FROM HELL is a single-camera comedy about Amy, a colorful, brassy woman who insinuates herself into the life of an organized and seemingly perfect young woman, Allison, claiming to be her "guardian angel."
