That ending. I had to blink, read it again and was like, what just happened? This series, what do I say about PH up until to this point? Well, I first saw the anime and liked it and thought, it needed another season. Then I figure you know what, let's see where the manga picks up after that. And so with each volume, the art got better and better, the story while interesting, a little confusing at times but still really good. And the characters, I love these characters. And the colored pages and the covers for these volumes. Can you say, like beautiful or what? Anyway, this was just, really, really good and I don't want to say more, else it will be spoilers and don't want that. Love this series.

Category: The First Book You See In a Bookstore 3 I-have-no-idea-how-to-rate-manga Stars I fell in love with this cover when I walked through the doors of my local bookstore, it drew my eyes instantly and would not release them. I chided myself that “No, you cannot buy another book you’ve never heard of just because it’s pretty” and I forced myself to walk past it to the section where the book was that I actually came for. However, I wandered back and picked it up and perused it a bit, shoved it back on the shelf and scolding myself again. Well….. I bought it, obviously. What a wonderful dystopian manga Deadman Wonderland Vol. 1 is. I flipped through it frantically. I wanted to know more, more….. MORE. And I still do. This volume is not a meal, this is a snack – and as tasty as it is I am STILL HUNGRY, DAMMIT!! Ganta finds himself accused of killing his friends and classmates, although he is innocent, and sent to an unusual prison. Incarceration at Deadman Wonderland is unlike anywhere else; it is a deadly game of cat and mouse. Together with his unusual “friend” Ganta navigates the new world he has found himself in and every time he turns a corner it just keeps getting more strange. I’m positive that I still have no idea what is going on but bring it ON!!

It's a cute manga that's set in World War 2 through present day that actually manages to amuse and both educate at the same time. The manga is about anthropomorphic personifications of some of the countries during World War 2, with adorable comic strips about certain events. The personifications of the countries somewhat poke fun at national stereotypes, such as America being loud, brash yet good natured and friendly, or Japan being the quiet but secretly-an-otaku, etc, without being super offensive. A great read if you want to both laugh all while learning about WW2. :]<3

Oh, this story. This gorgeous, heart-wrenching, amazing story. It eats at me, it really does. I found this volume very cathartic despite the chilling revelations. I think it was just nice to finally put some puzzle pieces in place. There are still so many questions, and more arise with more revelations. For one, I don't understand how Lacie seemed to so easily submit to her fate. And, the Intention of the Abyss seems to be as ambiguous as ever.And now, with what the final pages of this volume reveal, what is Oz going to do?(And, thank you, Mochizuki, by giving us a little Xerxes Break here and there. My fangirl heart is very happy about that. That expression on Break's face when Gil is losing his mind is priceless.)Finally, I'll never convince my non-manga-reading fans to read manga. I've given up trying...mostly. But, when I read a story like Pandora Hearts, I cry a little that so many will never give this story a chance. It's so beautifully drawn, the story is absolutely crazy but so good, and the characters! I love them all (except Gil). What more can I say? Read it! Read it!!

En 4-6 capítulos que hay por tomo, siempre hay algo que te sorprende, pero el resto es paja o tiene un desarrollo muy lento. Estaba decidida a abandonar este manga desde hace unos días porque en 7 tomos casi no ha pasado nada que influya en la trama principal y justo el último capítulo se queda interesante... En fin. De todas formas, no creo que lo continúe porque realmente me ha costado sacar ganas para siquiera leerme el medio tomo que me quedaba y he tardado un mes en leerme algo que habría leído en una tarde. Me daba muchísima pereza sabiendo lo que hay y me jode porque la historia en sí no está mal, pero llegué a Ajin por parecido con Tokyo Ghoul y a estas alturas éste ya me había volado la cabeza 80 veces. Además, creo que le falta mucha base que fundamente cosas que pasan o de la sociedad y cómo se comporta respecto a los Ajin.
