On the Media (OTM) is an hour-long weekly radio program hosted by Brooke Gladstone, covering journalism, technology, and First Amendment issues. It is produced by WNYC in New York City. OTM is first broadcast on Friday evening over WNYC's FM service and is syndicated nationwide to more than 400 other public radio outlets. The program is available by audio stream, MP3 download, and podcast. OTM also publishes a weekly newsletter featuring news on current and past projects as well as relevant links from around the web.

Elister Larry Wilmore is an American comedian, writer, producer, and actor. He served as the "Senior Black Correspondent" on The Daily Show from 2006 to 2014, and hosted The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore in 2015 and 2016. He is also the creator of the sitcom The Bernie Mac Show. He served as an executive producer for the ABC television series Black-ish, and is the co-creator, with Issa Rae, of the HBO television series Insecure. Since May 2017, he has hosted a podcast, Black on the Air, where he discusses current events and interviews guests. He is the host of the talk show Wilmore.

Kara Anne Swisher ( KAIR-ə) is an American journalist. She is a contributing editor at New York, the host of the podcast Sway, and the co-host of the podcast Pivot. From 2018 to 2022, she was an opinion writer for The New York Times, before re-joining Vox Media.

Swisher, who previously wrote for The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post, co-founded Recode, the All Things Digital conference and the online publication All Things D. She has covered the business of the internet since 1994.

Swisher lived in Roslyn Harbor, New York until her father died when she was five years old. Afterward her family moved to Princeton, New Jersey where she was raised.

She wrote for The Hoya, Georgetown's school newspaper, and later left that paper to write for The Georgetown Voice, the university's news magazine.

Jenna Weiss-Berman is a podcast producer and co-founder of Pineapple Street Media. Formerly she was director of audio for BuzzFeed.

Michael William Duncan is an American political history podcaster and author. A self-described "complete history geek", his love for history grew from an interest in ancient civilizations as a child, with a particular affinity for Roman history. After not finding any Roman history podcasts in 2007, Duncan began The History of Rome, a narrative podcast chronicling events from the founding of Rome until the collapse of the Western Roman Empire. The podcast concluded in 2012. A year later he began Revolutions, which ran for ten seasons over the course of nine years, covering the American, French, and Russian revolutions, among others. The series' main narrative ended in July 2022.

In addition to podcasting, Duncan is the author of two historical books. In 2017, Duncan wrote The Storm Before the Storm, which was well reviewed and appeared on The New York Times Best Seller List. His most recent work, 2021's Hero of Two Worlds: The Marquis de Lafayette in the Age of Revolution, received similar praise, earning its own spot on the New York Times Best Seller's.

Timothy Ferriss (born July 20, 1977) is an American entrepreneur, investor, author, podcaster, and lifestyle guru. He became well-known through his "4-Hour" self-help book series including the 4-Hour Work Week, the 4-Hour Body, and the 4-Hour Chef, that focused on lifestyle optimizations, but he has since reconsidered this approach.

Ferriss grew up in East Hampton, New York. Throughout childhood, Ferriss experienced poor health, sparking an interest in self-improvement. After graduating from St. Paul's School, Ferriss matriculated at Princeton University, earning a B.A. in East Asian studies in 2000. His senior thesis was titled Acquisition of Japanese Kanji: Conventional Practice and Mnemonic Supplementation, under the supervision of Seiichi Makino. After graduating from Princeton, Ferriss worked in sales at a data storage company.

Fuchsia Dunlop is an English writer and cook who specialises in Chinese cuisine, especially Sichuan cuisine. She is the author of five books, including the autobiographical Shark's Fin and Sichuan Pepper (2008). According to Julia Moskin in The New York Times, Dunlop "has done more to explain real Chinese cooking to non-Chinese cooks than anyone".

Ezra Klein (born May 10, 1984) is an American journalist, political analyst, New York Times columnist, and the host of The Ezra Klein Show podcast. He is a co-founder of Vox and formerly served as the website's editor-at-large. He has held editorial positions at The Washington Post and The American Prospect, and was a regular contributor to Bloomberg News and MSNBC. His first book, Why We're Polarized, was published by Simon & Schuster in January 2020.

Klein rose to prominence as a blogger, who became well known for his in-depth analysis on a range of policy issues. By 2007, Klein's blog had gained a substantial following and was acquired by The American Prospect, where he served as an associate editor. At The Washington Post, Klein managed Wonkblog, a branded blog that featured his and other reporters’ writing on domestic policy.

Tamler Sommers is an American philosopher and writer. He is the son of the American philosopher Fred Sommers and the stepson of Christina Hoff Sommers. Sommers specializes in ethics and free will, and has commented on the ethics of the Alex Rodriguez performance-enhancing drugs scandal. His book Why Honor Matters examines the nature of honor in American discourse and defends several aspects of honor cultures. He currently co-hosts the podcast Very Bad Wizards with David Pizarro.

Sommers received his Ph.D. in philosophy at Duke University in 2005 and is currently a professor of philosophy at the University of Houston.

Christopher Loffredo Hayes is an American political commentator, television news anchor, activist, and author. Hayes hosts All In with Chris Hayes, a weekday news and opinion television show on MSNBC. Hayes also hosts a weekly MSNBC podcast, Why Is This Happening? Hayes formerly hosted a weekend MSNBC show, Up with Chris Hayes. He is an editor-at-large of The Nation magazine.

Andrea M. Matwyshyn is a United States law professor and engineering professor at The Pennsylvania State University. She is known as a scholar of technology policy, particularly as an expert at the intersection of law and computer security and for her work with government. She is credited with originating the legal and policy concept of the Internet of Bodies.

Matwyshyn received her BA with honors from Northwestern University in 1996, and her MA in international relations from Northwestern also in 1996. She received her JD with honors from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law in 1999, and her PhD in Human Development and Social Policy, also from Northwestern, in 2005. Her thesis focused on individual level determinants of teens' interest in technology entrepreneurship and careers and was published in part as a law review article in 2003.

Harry Joe Enten (born March 1, 1988) is an American journalist best known for his former role as a senior political writer and analyst for the website FiveThirtyEight and his current job as a senior writer and analyst for CNN Politics. He was described by the Columbia Journalism Review as being of a new generation of political journalists, focusing on data-driven journalism instead of reporting from the campaign trail.

Enten was raised in a Jewish family in the Riverdale neighborhood of The Bronx, New York City. Harry was introduced to politics as a child when his father, a judge, took him into the polling booth to help pull the levers for elections. He attended Riverdale Country School. He is the nephew, by marriage, of singer-songwriter Neil Sedaka.
