Zoom Lens was an independent Los Angeles-based record label founded and operated by Faye Yim from 2009 to 2022. The label was created "in order to explore the implications of popular culture on the human condition and the duality artistic expression discovered through an intersection of both local and international sounds."

In 2009, Zoom Lens was founded by Faye Yim, who was at the time "fascinated with Japanese harsh noise and film" and sought out to release music due to the influence of the Orange County experimental music scene.

The first Zoom Lens release was an album by Yim under the name of Yuko Imada entitled "Ome," which came packaged as a CD-R contained in a DVD case soaked in the artist's own blood.

Orville Peck is a South African country musician based in Canada. He wears a fringed mask and has never shown his face publicly. He released his debut album Pony in 2019, followed by the EP Show Pony the next year. His second studio album Bronco was released on April 8, 2022.

Moriah Rose Pereira, known professionally as Poppy and formerly as That Poppy, is an American singer, songwriter, YouTuber, and performance artist. In 2014, she gained viral fame by starring in surreal performance art videos on YouTube as an uncanny valley-like android who commented on and satirised internet culture and modern society. She signed a recording contract with Island Records in 2015 and released her debut pop EP Bubblebath in 2016.

Margaret Osborn, known professionally as Alice Glass, is a Canadian singer and songwriter. She is the co-founder and former frontwoman of the electronic band Crystal Castles. In 2014, she embarked on a solo career. She released her eponymous debut EP in 2017. Her solo debut album, Prey//IV, was released in February 2022.

Caroline Elizabeth Polachek (born June 20, 1985) is an American singer and songwriter. Raised in Connecticut, Polachek co-founded the indie pop band Chairlift while studying at the University of Colorado. The duo emerged from the late-2000s Brooklyn music scene with the sleeper hit "Bruises.”

During her time in the band, she worked on the solo projects Ramona Lisa and CEP before embarking on a career under her own name after Chairlift's disbandment in 2017. Her debut studio album, Pang (2019), featured collaborations with producer Danny L Harle and was released to critical acclaim.

Originally based in Brooklyn, New York, the label operated as a joint venture imprint of XL Recordings and Beggars Group respectively. It was distributed by Universal Music Group. After a short stint as a imprint with Interscope, Terrible records is now distributed Independently via Stem Distribution. Over the past 4 years Ethan Silverman's focus shifted toward management. His current management roster includes Claud, Sir Chloe, Petey, The Hellp, Exum, The Slaps, Mila Degray, Kali, Liam Benzvi and more.

Interscope Records is an American record label based in Santa Monica, California, owned by Universal Music Group through its Interscope Geffen A&M imprint. Founded in late 1990 by Jimmy Iovine and Ted Field as a $20 million joint venture with Atlantic Records of Warner Music Group and Interscope Communications, it differed from most record labels by letting A&R staff control decisions and allowing artists and producers full creative control. Off the Air is an American anthology television series that airs on Adult Swim. Every episode is composed of surreal videos of different media and purposes – animated and live-action short films, clips from feature films and other television series, stock videos, music videos, abstract loops – presented continuously and in succession. These videos are arranged around a single vague theme, as expressed in the episode's title, and are accompanied by songs by various artists. Dave Hughes, the creator of the series, also serves as its editor. He and the rest of the series' producers also commission artists to produce works to be featured in an episode.

Forty-two episodes have aired over eleven seasons since Off the Air premiered on January 1, 2011. Every episode had a time slot of 4 a.m., which has contributed to the series' obscurity and status among fans of Adult Swim. Three special episodes have been produced: "Dan Deacon: U.S.A.", "Seramthgin", and "Dan Deacon: When I Was Done Dying". Jockstrap are an English musical duo consisting of Georgia Ellery and Taylor Skye, who met at London's Guildhall School of Music & Drama in 2016. The duo's music combines Ellery's half-whispered vocals and string arrangements with Skye's electronic production.

Jockstrap released their first EP, Love Is the Key to the City, in 2018. After signing to Warp Records in early 2020, they released Wicked City in June 2020.

Sidney Gish (born March 18, 1997) is an American singer-songwriter. As of July 2021, she has released two albums. Her first album, Ed Buys Houses, was self-released on Bandcamp in 2016.

Her second album, No Dogs Allowed, was released in 2017, receiving a 7.7 rating on Pitchfork and winning Album of the Year at the 2018 Boston Music Awards.

Following the moderate internet success of No Dogs Allowed, Gish briefly toured with singer-songwriter Mitski in 2018. Beach Bunny is an American rock band formed in 2015 by Lili Trifilio in Chicago, Illinois. The group achieved widespread popularity after their song "Prom Queen" went viral on TikTok.

Beach Bunny began as a bedroom-based solo project in 2015 when Lili Trifilio recorded a song titled "6 Weeks". The same year, Trifilio released her first EP, titled Animalism. She released her second EP titled Pool Party in 2016. In 2017, she released her third EP titled Crybaby, and Beach Bunny expanded to a full four-piece lineup shortly after. In 2018, Beach Bunny released her fourth EP, titled Prom Queen.

On October 31, 2019, Trifilio and the band announced that they had signed to Mom + Pop Music and released their first full-length album, Honeymoon, on February 14, 2020. The album was produced by Joe Reinhart at Electrical Audio; the Chicago studio owned by Steve Albini, and subsequently mixed at Reinhart's Headroom Studios. Dollanganger's music is characterized by a feminine, high-pitched vocal style, minimal instrumentation, and lyrical themes frequently pertaining to true crime, sexuality, and romance. Her music has been described as "lo-fi", "atmospheric", and "bedroom folk", is associated with the folk music, folk pop, bedroom pop, sadcore and dream pop genres. Glass Beach (stylized as glass beach) is an American indie rock band from Los Angeles. Their music has been described as "heavy indie rock", blending influences including punk rock, math rock, and mid-century jazz. They cite some of their musical influences as Jeff Rosenstock, They Might Be Giants, and The Brave Little Abacus.

The band's formation and music is closely tied to internet communities, and according to The Washington Post has "developed a cultish online following". In early 2020, the Los Angeles Times predicted that the band "likely won't be playing cozy venues like All Star Lanes for much longer."

In 2015, lead singer McClendon (known professionally as Classic J) made the move to Los Angeles, California from their hometown of Burleson, Texas, where they couch-surfed and worked on their solo project, Casio Dad. During this time they released an EP titled He's Not With Us Anymore. Shortly after, while attending the University of Minnesota Morris, close friends Jonas Newhouse and William White heard a song from McClendon's new EP on their school's radio station, and immediately found interest in the musician. The trio quickly became friends, and soon Newhouse and White joined McClendon in Los Angeles to live together and form Glass Beach. For the next three years, the group worked diligently on their first album, The First Glass Beach Album, which debuted on May 18, 2019 under Run for Cover Records.

Michael W. Eagle II, better known by his stage name Open Mike Eagle, is an American hip hop artist and comedian. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, he is now based in Los Angeles, California, where he is a member of the hip hop collective Project Blowed. He has also been a member of Thirsty Fish, Swim Team, and Cavanaugh.
