Long ago, a war broke out in Japan that pitted Kantou against Kansai and divided the country. Kansai became dependent on Kantou, but slowly the police and government began losing control of Kansai to criminals known as Akudama.

In a city which should be familiar, there is the feeling of something a little different.

Houtarou is usually quite apathetic, however when his sister forces him to join the Classic Literature Club at Kamiyama High School, his worldview begins to change. Once there, he discovers some information regarding an incident surrounding one of the members' uncle.
