My Bubba is a Swedish/Icelandic duo whose music is described as minimalistic, vocal-oriented folk which 'belies a modern sensibility and often a sultry suggestiveness'. The lyrics are playful and the vocals are simultaneously delicate and disarming.

Benjamin John Howard is an English singer-songwriter, musician and composer. His self-released debut EP Games in the Dark (2008) was followed by two more EPs, These Waters (2009) and Old Pine (2010). Signed to Island Records, his debut studio album came in 2011 titled Every Kingdom. The album reached number four on the UK Albums Chart and was certified double platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). Howard later released two more EPs, Ben Howard Live (2011) and The Burgh Island E.P. (2012).

The Staves are an English indie folk trio of sisters Emily, Jessica and Camilla Staveley-Taylor from Watford, Hertfordshire, England.

Dermot O'Leary Presents The Saturday Sessions 2015 is a 2-disc compilation album, a collection from BBC Radio 2's new music programme, which takes place every Saturday afternoon on BBC Radio 2, released in the United Kingdom in June 2015. Many of the artists featured were first introduced by English radio personality and television presenter, Dermot O'Leary. It hit Number 2 in the UK iTunes charts the week of its release.

"Let Her Go" is a song recorded by English singer-songwriter Passenger. It was recorded at Sydney's Linear Recording and co-produced by Mike Rosenberg (a.k.a. Passenger) and Chris Vallejo. The recording features Australian musicians Stu Larsen, Georgia Mooney, Stu Hunter, Cameron Undy, and Glenn Wilson. "Let Her Go" was released in July 2012 as the second single from Passenger's fourth album, All the Little Lights.

The song became a sleeper hit, achieving international success and topping the charts in many countries around the world. As of July 2014, it has sold over one million digital copies in the UK, and over four million in the US. In 2014, the song was nominated for the Brit Award for British Single of the Year, and won Passenger the British Academy's Ivor Novello Award for Most Performed Work.

You’ll be delighted to know that there is nothing typical about The Young Folk. Yes, the band members (Anthony Furey, vocals/guitar, Tony McLoughlin, bass/mandolin, Paul Butler, piano/vocals, and Karl Hand, drums/percussion) are of a certain youthful age, and yes, the songs they create are variants/ enhancements on what could be tethered under the term ‘folk’, but if you’re looking for very obvious reference points (or worse, clichés) then you’d best search elsewhere. In 2012, the band played Irish summer events such as Castlepalooza, Sea Sessions, Sligo Live and Valentia Isle Festival, and then performed shows in parts of Scandinavia. This year alone, The Young Folk have gigged in New York (for Culture Ireland), toured Italy and Ireland (for the launch of their debut album, The Little Battle), and in the UK (the prestigious) Cambridge Folk Festival, where they shared a stage with The Waterboys and The Staves) and then finishing off their summer on a high with a slot at Electric Picnic playing to a packed out Little Big Tent.

Bear's Den are a British folk rock band from London, formed in 2012. The band consists of Andrew Davie (lead vocals, electric guitar, acoustic guitar) and Kevin Jones (vocals, drums, bass, guitar). Joey Haynes (vocals, banjo, guitar) left the band in early 2016. Since their 2016/2017 Tour in Europe and North America Joey has been replaced by the Dutch artist Christof van der Ven, not as an official member but as a session musician.

Bear's Den have released four studio albums: Islands (2014), Red Earth & Pouring Rain (22 July 2016), So that you might hear me (26 April 2019) and Blue Hours (13 May 2022). Islands peaked at number forty-nine on the UK Albums Chart. The band has also issued three EPs: Agape (2013), Without/Within (2013) and Only Son of the Falling Snow (2019). Their fourth album, Blue Hours, was released on 13 May 2022.

Villagers are an Irish indie folk band and the musical project of the sole long-term member, Conor J O'Brien who is a singer-songwriter based in Dublin, Ireland.. Widely known for his production, arrangements and thought-provoking lyrics, O'Brien currently releases Villagers material via Domino Recording Co.

Villagers first came to prominence in 2010 with the release of their debut album, Becoming a Jackal. Released to critical acclaim, the album was shortlisted for the 2010 Mercury Prize and the Choice Music Prize. Their second studio album, {Awayland} was released in 2013. It won the Choice Music Prize that year and was also shortlisted for the 2013 Mercury Prize. In 2015 Conor released Villagers' third album, Darling Arithmetic, and the following year Where Have You Been All My Life?—a compilation of live reworkings of some of the band's best-known tracks. In May 2016 Darling Arithmetic won the Ivor Novello award for Best Album. The Art of Pretending to Swim followed in September 2018. Villagers' fifth studio album Fever Dreams was released on 20 August 2021. Villagers have extensively toured in Ireland, UK and Europe, and have made several visits to play in the United States, Japan, Canada and Australia.

Joshua Peter Record (born 20 November 1987) is an English singer-songwriter who has released one album, Pillars, and one EP. He has also had various success as a songwriter and producer for many artists including Sigala, Paloma Faith, Merk & Kremont, Joe Jonas, DNCE, Ella Henderson, Anne Marie, MNEK and LP.

Josh Record was born in Stroud, Gloucestershire, England, the son of a BFBS DJ, whom he cites as "my greatest influence". At the age of 16 he moved to London to study music at the BRIT School. He became involved in local charities on the Alton Estate teaching music and participating in related projects, working with young people involved in gangs.

His first release on indie label National Anthem in 2012 made it to number 2 in the Singer Songwriter charts on iTunes in the UK. The lead track "For Your Love" was heralded by everyone from Steve Lamacq to Zane Lowe to The Sunday Times who said "His keening falsetto invites comparisons to Bon Iver's Justin Vernon… Record has a sensational debut album in him"

New Eyes is the debut studio album by English electronic music group Clean Bandit, released on 30 May 2014 by Atlantic Records in Germany and Ireland, and 2 June 2014 in the United Kingdom, after suffering from several setbacks. The album includes the singles "A+E", "Mozart's House", "Dust Clears", "Rather Be", "Extraordinary" and "Come Over". New Eyes was produced entirely by group members Jack Patterson and Grace Chatto. The album peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart and was certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) for shipments in excess of 100,000 copies. It is the band's only album to feature violinist and pianist Neil Amin-Smith, who left the band in 2016.

Nathaniel David Rateliff (born October 7, 1978) is an American singer and songwriter based in Denver, Colorado, whose influences are described as folk, Americana and vintage rhythm & blues. Rateliff has performed with a backing band called the Night Sweats for an R&B side project he formed in 2013. He has released three solo albums, two solo EPs, and one album as Nathaniel Rateliff & the Wheel.

Rateliff was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on October 7, 1978. He grew up in Hermann, Missouri; learning to play the drums at age seven. As a teenager he taught himself guitar, began writing songs and, at eighteen, moved to Denver.

In 2002, Rateliff formed Born in the Flood, quickly garnering a large following in Denver and headlining local festivals like the Westword Music Showcase. In February 2007, Born in the Flood released their first full-length album If This Thing Should Spill. Despite increasing success with Born in the Flood, Rateliff turned down an offer from Roadrunner Records, and shifted his focus to a more stripped-down, solo effort, playing somber, singer-songwriter content under his name and "Nathaniel Rateliff & the Wheel".

Andrew "Roo" Panes (born 8 June 1988) is an English folk singer-songwriter and model. He has released three EPs: Once (2012), Weight of Your World (2012), and Land of the Living (2013). His début LP Little Giant was released in Autumn 2014, with the leading single "Tiger Striped Sky" previously released on 23 June 2014. His follow-up album Paperweights came in 2016. His third album Quiet Man arrived in 2018, with a deluxe edition released in the following year. Panes plays a 12-string acoustic guitar. Introspective lyrics and a band of string-players contribute to a genre of classical folk music.

Panes gained a wide audience in 2012 after participating in a campaign for Burberry as he joined actress Gabriella Wilde as Burberry label's new campaign star. The contract also included recording music for Burberry Acoustic and modelling.

Ry Cuming, better known by his stage name RY X, is an Australian singer and musician. He was the first artist signed to the Stockholm-based label Dumont Dumont.

RY X was born on Woodford Island in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales, where he became a surfer.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, RY X mentioned Pearl Jam and Jeff Buckley as his greatest influences. He started writing music at 16, after he heard Buckley's album Grace. His song "Let Your Spirit Fly" appeared on the soundtrack of the 2006 film Hoot. He moved to Los Angeles, California, where he was signed by Jive Records, releasing his self-titled debut album on 20 July 2010. He briefly toured with Maroon 5, becoming their opening act in select venues.

Marika Louise Hackman is an English vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. She is considered to fall within the alternative and English-folk genres, and is noted for her dark, melancholic lyrics.

The Peoria Symphony Orchestra is an American orchestra based in Peoria, Illinois conducted by George Stelluto. Founded in 1897 as Bradley University's Bradley Symphony Orchestra, it is the fourteenth oldest orchestra in the United States. In 1915, the orchestra was incorporated as the Peoria Symphony Orchestra.
