The Oh Hellos are an American indie folk rock duo formed in 2011 in San Marcos, Texas, United States, consisting of siblings Tyler and Maggie Heath. They remain an independent band, with eight releases: The Oh Hellos, Through the Deep, Dark Valley, Dear Wormwood, Notos, Eurus, Boreas, and Zephyrus, as well as a Christmas EP, The Oh Hellos' Family Christmas Album. The duo initially found success on the music promotion website Bandcamp, and its music was later featured on NBC's Parenthood. When playing live, Maggie and Tyler are often joined by a large ensemble of musicians as their backing band.

Tyler Heath began writing and recording music in 2007, having released three albums by himself, Let It Go, A Christmas Album, and We're All In This Together. In 2011, he was joined by Maggie Heath, his sister, to write a song together for their mother's birthday. Their success led the two to form The Oh Hellos, releasing their self-titled EP later that year. On October 30, 2012, they released their self-produced debut album Through The Deep, Dark Valley. On December 10, 2013, they released The Oh Hellos' Family Christmas Album, an EP that featured a medley of classical Christmas hymns.

Wild Child is an American indie pop band from Austin, Texas formed in 2010. The band consists of Kelsey Wilson (lead vocals and violin), Alexander Beggins (lead vocals and baritone ukulele), Sadie Wolfe (cello), Tyler Osmond (bass), Matt Bradshaw (keyboard and trumpet), Cody Ackors (guitar and trombone), and Tom Myers (drums).

Wilson and Beggins met while touring as back-up musicians for a Danish indie act called The Migrant. They began writing songs together in the backseat of the tour van and found they worked very well as a songwriting team. Both had just been through the end of relationships, which provided both common ground and writing material. Beggins had brought a ukulele from his father's instrument collection simply because it was small enough to comfortably pass around in a van (Beggins played accordion with The Migrant). By the end of the tour the two had written several songs and began recording their first album upon their return to Austin. To complete the sound they were seeking, they called in other local musicians and friends to help record, which eventually became the full Wild Child band.

Streets of Laredo is a folk-pop band originally from Auckland, New Zealand but now based in Brooklyn, New York. The band is composed of Dave Gibson (vocals, drums), Daniel Gibson (lead vocals, acoustic guitar) Sarahjane Gibson (vocals, melodica, percussion), Sean McMahon (bass and backing vocals), Cameron Deyell (electric guitar and backing vocals) and Andrew McGovern (trumpet, percussion, and synth). The band has released two albums: Volume I & II (2014) and Wild (2016).

Dave Gibson and his younger brother Daniel already had experience as musicians. Dave used to be the vocalist in the New Zealand band Elemeno P while Daniel was the vocalist of a pop-punk band called Kingston. Dave ran a T-shirt business and hired Daniel soon after he left the music scene to work in his company. However, both brothers routinely began to write and work on demo songs frequently. Dave, his spouse Sarahjane, and his brother Daniel, formed the band around the time they moved to New York in 2012. However, before the trio relocated to New York they played one show in their hometown. The group named their band based on the classic ballad Streets of Laredo. The band soon after also consisted of Si Moore, Cameron Deyell, and Thom Darlow. Their first single "Girlfriend" was first imagined by Daniel between the time they left New Zealand and relocated to New York. He continued working on the song once he moved to New York. The single was self-released on December 10, 2012 to positive acclaim. A music video for the track was released soon after.

The Barr Brothers is an indie folk band founded in Montreal, Quebec in 2006, consisting of two American brothers Andrew and Brad Barr, as well as bassist Morgan Moore, pedal steel guitarist Brett Lanier, and harpist Eveline Gregoire-Rousseau.

The Last Bison, formerly known as Bison, is an indie folk band that formed in Chesapeake, Virginia. The Last Bison originally dubbed their sound "mountain-top chamber music" combining elements of alternative indie-folk with classical sensibilities. Their first album Quill was released independently in September 2011 and received critical praise noting the band's complex arrangements, refined lyrics and vocal harmonies.

Houndmouth is an American alternative blues and rock band from New Albany, Indiana, formed in 2011, consisting of Matt Myers, Caleb Hickman, Zak Appleby, and Shane Cody. Starting in 2022, Sam Filiatreau filled in for Appleby on tour.

Joshua Burnside is a Northern Irish folk singer-songwriter based in Belfast. His music incorporates elements of Irish folk, and Scottish folk rock, Americana, world music, sound collage and electronica. His debut album Ephrata was written in Colombia and incorporates Cumbian rhythms, as well as Colombian-inspired lyrical themes referencing the likes of Jaime Garzón. Ephrata was awarded the Northern Ireland Music Prize Best Album award in 2017. Culture Northern Ireland have compared Burnside's musical style to that of Elliott Smith, Nick Drake, and Tom Waits, all of whom he has noted as personal inspirations.

John Mark Nelson (born November 23, 1993) is an American songwriter and producer based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. John Mark Nelson quietly released his debut album Still Here in 2011. His second release, Waiting and Waiting, was released in August 2012. In June 2014, Nelson released his third album, Sings The Moon, thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign that helped him fund the project. His fourth full-length album, I'm Not Afraid, was released in September 2015 on GRNDWIRE Records.

Nelson was born in Laguna Beach on November 23, 1993. He attended Minnetonka High School and graduated there in 2012.

Nelson grew up around music, as his immediate family was composed of musicians. When he has 14 years old, Nelson started to learn instruments and arrange original compositions. At 17, he spent the fall and the winters crafting songs at home, and in 2011, he put this record together and released his first full length, Still Here released independently on 29 December, 2011. He does not have the intention to be a songwriter.

The Apache Relay was an American folk-rock band based out of Nashville, Tennessee. The band consisted of Michael Ford Jr (singer/guitarist), Mike Harris (guitar), Brett Moore, Steve Smith (drums), Kellen Wenrich (fiddle) and Ben Ford. The band's name originated from a race-competition scene in the movie Heavyweights.

Rayland Baxter is an American alternative country musician from Nashville, Tennessee. He is currently signed to ATO Records. Baxter is the son of musician Bucky Baxter. He is 6-feet 5-inches tall.

Milo Greene is the debut studio album by Los Angeles-based band Milo Greene. It was released on July 17, 2012 and peaked at number 1 on the US Billboard Heatseekers Albums and number 115 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

The band recorded Milo Greene in California and at Bear Creek Studios in Seattle. The lead vocals, guitars, bass, and banjo parts were shared by band members Robbie Arnett, Marlana Sheetz, Andrew Heringer and Graham Fink. The group's fifth member, Curtis Marrero, played drums. Album closer "Autumn Tree" was the first song the band wrote. Arnett explained that at the time, "we were still in our other bands, and Andrew was living up in Sacramento, and I was in L.A., and I had sent him some lyrics, and said 'why don’t we try to experiment. I'll send you lyrics, and see if you can put some melodies over it.' He sent that back, so we started going back and forth with melodies, and that’s kind of how that one happened." Fink noted that creating songs for the album was "definitely a collaborative process" in which any number of band members would start an idea for a given song. Several brief interludes and instrumentals were included on the album, Arnett said, "because we wanted it to flow together like a film." One of these tracks, "Moddison", was named after a Sacramento street where Heringer lived. A music video for lead single "1957", also named after an address, premiered in advance of the album's July 2012 release.

Nathaniel David Rateliff (born October 7, 1978) is an American singer and songwriter based in Denver, Colorado, whose influences are described as folk, Americana and vintage rhythm & blues. Rateliff has performed with a backing band called the Night Sweats for an R&B side project he formed in 2013. He has released three solo albums, two solo EPs, and one album as Nathaniel Rateliff & the Wheel.

Rateliff was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on October 7, 1978. He grew up in Hermann, Missouri; learning to play the drums at age seven. As a teenager he taught himself guitar, began writing songs and, at eighteen, moved to Denver.

In 2002, Rateliff formed Born in the Flood, quickly garnering a large following in Denver and headlining local festivals like the Westword Music Showcase. In February 2007, Born in the Flood released their first full-length album If This Thing Should Spill. Despite increasing success with Born in the Flood, Rateliff turned down an offer from Roadrunner Records, and shifted his focus to a more stripped-down, solo effort, playing somber, singer-songwriter content under his name and "Nathaniel Rateliff & the Wheel".

Afie Jurvanen, known by his stage name Bahamas, is a Canadian musician.

Lucius is an American four-piece indie pop band. The group was founded in 2007 by lead vocalists Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig, joined by drummer Dan Molad, guitarist Peter Lalish, and, formerly, multi-instrumentalist Andrew Burri. Originating in Brooklyn, the band relocated to Los Angeles in 2015.

Ivan & Alyosha is an American indie rock band from Seattle, formed in 2007 by Tim Wilson and Ryan Carbary. They were later joined by Pete Wilson (Tim's brother) and Tim Kim and added Cole Mauro to complete the group. In 2009 the band was recognized nationally by NPR during coverage of SXSW. Ivan & Alyosha's songs are represented by Downtown Music Publishing.

Ivan & Alyosha was formed by Tim Wilson and Ryan Carbary in 2007. The two met while working on other projects and soon found themselves working exclusively with each other. Together they decided to go into the studio to record. Their first release was an extended play, "The Verse, the Chorus," produced by Eli Thomson in Los Angeles, California. At the time the band did not have a name, but during a discussion about the nameless project Eli Thompson suggested "Ivan and Alyosha" from The Brothers Karamazov. The two original members were fans of the genre and the name stuck. Ivan & Alyosha performed in Texas at SXSW 2010.

Kaoru Ishibashi (born November 4, 1975), who performs as Kishi Bashi, is an American singer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter currently based in Athens, Georgia. He was a founding member of Jupiter One and, for a few years, was a member of the band of Montreal. He embarked on his career as a solo artist in 2011, releasing his debut album 151a at Joyful Noise Recordings in 2012 to immediate fanfare and critical acclaim.

Born in Seattle, Washington, Kishi Bashi grew up in Norfolk, Virginia where both of his parents were professors at Old Dominion University. His mother is from Naha, Okinawa Prefecture and his father is from Iga, Mie Prefecture. After graduating from Matthew Fontaine Maury High School in 1994, he went to Cornell University College of Engineering. At Cornell he co-founded a band named Tamarisk. After flunking out of Cornell, he went to study film scoring at Berklee College of Music before becoming a violinist.
