Spoiler Alert is a 2022 American romantic drama film starring Jim Parsons and Ben Aldridge as two lovers, one who watches the other's final months before their death from terminal cancer. The film, based on the 2017 memoir Spoiler Alert: The Hero Dies by Michael Ausiello, is directed by Michael Showalter and written by David Marshall Grant and Dan Savage. Parsons plays Ausiello, and Aldrige plays his lover Kit Cowan who dies of cancer.

The film follows the final 11-month period of Manhattan photographer Kit Cowan's life, from his diagnosis with terminal cancer to his death, through the eyes of Michael Ausiello, his partner of 14 years, and later spouse. As Kit is dying in the hospital, Ausiello thinks about what if this event was merely a scene on the set of a movie, with Kit getting up after "cut" and walking away unscathed. In the real life, Kit dies with Michael lying next to him in the hospital bed and his parents standing over his bed. Ausiello continues a relationship with Kit's parents after Kit's death.
