645 AD. Emperor Taizong invades Goguryeo with his massive Tang army. His initial target is the fortress at Ansi. After defeating a major attack by the Goguryeon army he besieges Ansi. The odds are massively stacked in Taizong's favour: opposing his 200,000-strong army is a mere 5,000 force at Ansi. It is lead by Yang Manchun, a man regarded as a traitor by the Goguryeon leader.

Gun-woo (GANG Dong-won) is an honest and hardworking courier who even won a Model Citizen Award for saving a singer from a robbery incident. Out of the blue, his old friend Moo-yeol comes to visit him at work. With just a short moment to enjoy the pleasant surprise, Gun-woo witnesses a bombing incident that kills a presidential candidate right before his eyes. Moo-yeol tells Gun-woo that he is responsible for the bombing and that everyone will come after him as it is the agency's plan to make him the prime suspect. Gun-woo manages to flee from the scene but all evidences, including security camera footages, witness testimonies and fingerprints point toward him as the suspect. He meets former secret agent Mr. Min (KIM Eui-sung), who is an old friend of Moo-yeol and he helps out clear his name. Gun-woo must fight with all his strength to stay alive. However, as he tries to run away, everyone around him is put into dangerous situations, including old friends Dong-kyu (KIM Dae-myeung), Geum-chul (KIM Sung-kyun) and Sun-young (HAN Hyo-joo).

Korea in the year 1933, the country is occupied by the Japanese army. Many warriors of the resistance where forced into the exile in China. Now they are trying to organize the fight from the distance. Now the resistance has learned that the highest commander of the Japanese army is going to visit Korea. They decide to take the chance and kill him by assassination. But the only sniper who is able to make that shot is Ahn Ok-yun, who is serving her time in the prison of Shanghai. The resistance agent Yem Sek-jin is set to get her and her comrades out, but his plan is offered to the Japanese by a traitor. Now, Ok-yun and her warriors not just have to flee from the Chinese prison, she also must face the Japanese army and a very special hit-man, assigned to take her down.

In 1636, the Qing dynasty attacks Joseon. King Injo and his retainers, including Choi Myung-kil and Kim Sang-hun, hide in the mountain fortress city of Namhansanseong. They are isolated from the outside. Meanwhile, Choi Myung-kil insists that they enter into negotiations with the Qing dynasty, but Kim Sang-hun proposes that they keep fighting.

"The Last Princess" is both a drama and an action film that is based upon the life of Princess Deok-hye (1912-1989) who was born into Korea's last royal family in 1912 as the youngest and only daughter of the last King of Jo-seon, ex-Emperor Gojong and his concubine Yang Gui-in. In truth, her sad and tragic life was shaped at the highest levels of the Japanese Imperial family and its government, and carried out by their Korean collaborators - a path that led to Japanese political ends at the expense of her personal happiness. Two years before her birth, the Japanese Imperial Army surrounded Gwang-bok-gong Palace with artillery batteries with orders to shoot while Japanese officials inside the Palace coerced Emperor Su-jong's (King Go-jong's son) cabinet to approve Korea's annexation to the Japan Empire. After her beloved father suddenly died from poisoning in 1919 - allegedly by the occupying Japanese - the Japanese forced Princess Deokye to leave Korea and her family for an education in Japan - a move that started an endless spiral of disappointment, unfulfilled hopes and dreams, and profound sadness until she was able to return to Korea thirty-seven years later in 1962. The fictionalized portion, based upon Kwon Bi-young's 2009 novel, is seamlessly woven into the film and includes several fictional characters whose roles add to the drama, tears, action and excitement. Princess Deokhye lived out the rest of her years at Chang-deok Palace until she passed away in 1989. She is buried at Hong-ryu-reung outside of Seoul.

Kang Min Woo leads a relatively peaceful life with his younger brother Kang Jin Woo. Min Woo has been captivated by Park Shin Ae, friend to Jin Woo and daughter to Park Heung Su. The next day at the theaters, while Min Woo was in amusement from watching a film smoke began seeping in. An outburst came through the doors of a soldier beating a man to death and everyone inside ran out of the theatre in fear. That day soldiers went on a rampage against the citizens, assaulting everyone and anyone. Park Heung Su, father to Shin Ae, tried to find out what was happening by seeking out General Choi who was in-charge of this infiltration into his town. But nothing could stop the soldiers not even Heung Su who was once a general himself. The citizens form a militia were determined to protect their loved ones. Out of anger and loss of a friend Jin Woo decided to gather a group of students to retaliate against the soldiers but all goes wrong when the soldiers began firing their weapons killing citizens on sight. Min Woo who was entangled in his own little situation of being captured, escaped and ran back into town only to see his brother shot among the running crowd of citizens. Furious of his brothers death, Min Woo found himself caught in the middle of it all for he swore revenge even if it cost him his life.

Over a period of eight days, an 18th-century Korean king punishes his only son for attempted regicide. Flashbacks reveal the chain of events that led the son to rebel against his father in this tale of the strained relationships that exist between all fathers (who want their sons to grow into fine and competent men) and their sons (who struggle to prove themselves in order to earn their fathers' respect and approval).

Set in the late 1920s, The Age of Shadows follows the cat-and-mouse game that unfolds between a group of resistance fighters trying to bring in explosives from Shanghai to destroy key Japanese facilities in Seoul, and Japanese agents trying to stop them. A talented Korean-born Japanese police officer, who was previously in the independence movement himself, is thrown into a dilemma between the demands of his reality and the instinct to support a greater cause.

Korea in year 1938. Joo-ran is a sickly girl who is transferred to the Gyeongseong Boarding School for ill girls. She is given a new name; Shizuko. At first life seems to be not different from other boarding schools. Joo-ran learns that before she came, another girl named Shizuko had suddenly left the school without saying goodbye to her friends. Soon after other girls in the class are reported to have gone home as well, after disappearing in odd circumstances. Now the young girl is confident, that there is something wrong about the Gyeongseong School. Joo-ran starts a risky research to uncover the secrets surrounding the school, which puts her life in danger.

Tae-young is an ambitious businessman whose aim is to control the criminal world. He's about to launch the largest casino in the country called 'Siesta', where people can come and enjoy all manners of pleasure. However, he gets involved in a power struggle with mob boss Won-geun over the control of Siesta. Just as he is on the verge of losing it all, a mysterious investigative journalist approaches him with a solution, and with his help, Tae-young wins over Won-geun but soon realizes that not all is what it seems.
