Kentaro Miura was a Japanese manga artist. He was best known for his acclaimed dark fantasy series Berserk, which began serialization in 1989 and continued until his death. As of 2021, Berserk had more than 50 million copies in circulation, making it one of the best-selling manga series of all time. In 2002, Miura received the Award for Excellence at the 6th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prizes.

Hitoshi Iwaaki is a Japanese manga artist, whose works include the science-fiction/horror series Parasyte. The Mixx editions of Parasyte romanize his name as "Hitosi Iwaaki", while the Del Rey Manga editions use "Hitoshi Iwaaki".

Yoshitoki Ōima (大今 良時, Ōima Yoshitoki, born March 15, 1989) is a Japanese manga artist and writer, best known for her manga series A Silent Voice and To Your Eternity.

Ōima was born on March 15, 1989 in Ōgaki, Japan as the third daughter of a sign language interpreter mother and has an older sister and an older brother. Due to her mother's work as a sign language interpreter Ōima was inspired to write the A Silent Voice manga series where she got help by her mother and her sister working on the series.

Her first manga was Mardock Scramble which was an adaptation of the same-named novel written by Tow Ubukata and was released in 2009. She was also responsible for an illustration of the ending sequence of the ninth episode of Attack on Titan. After her success with A Silent Voice Yoshitoki Ōima worked alongside other manga artists on a collaboration manga called Ore no 100-wame!!. In 2016 Yoshitoki Ōima released her third full manga series under the moniker To Your Eternity.

Nakaba Suzuki (Japanese: 鈴木央, Hepburn: Suzuki Nakaba, born February 8, 1977) is a Japanese manga artist. He is best known for his fantasy series The Seven Deadly Sins (2012–2020), which has over 37 million copies in circulation. He began a sequel, Four Knights of the Apocalypse, in 2021.

The first manga series Suzuki ever bought was Dr. Slump by Akira Toriyama. In elementary and junior high school, he was a fan of Kinnikuman, Fist of the North Star, and Dragon Ball. Suzuki made his professional debut in 1994 with the story "Revenge", which was an honorable mention for Shueisha's Hop Step Award. His first series, Rising Impact, was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1998 to 2002. From 2007 to 2010, he serialized Kongō Banchō in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday.

Kei Sanbe is a Japanese manga artist born in Tomakomai, Hokkaido and raised in Chiba Prefecture. He has formerly worked under the pseudonym Keisuke Kawara . He is married to illustrator Keishi Kanesada .

Junji Ito (Japanese: 伊藤 潤二, Hepburn: Itō Junji, born July 31, 1963) is a Japanese horror manga artist. Some of his most notable works include Tomie, a series chronicling an immortal girl who drives her stricken admirers to madness; Uzumaki, a three-volume series about a town obsessed with spirals; and Gyo, a two-volume story in which fish are controlled by a strain of sentient bacteria called "the death stench." His other works include The Junji Ito Horror Comic Collection, a collection of his many short stories, and Junji Ito's Cat Diary: Yon & Mu, a self-parody about him and his wife living in a house with two cats. Ito's work has developed a substantial cult following, with some deeming him a significant figure in recent horror iconography.

Shūzō Oshimi (押見 修造, Oshimi Shūzō, born 1981) is a Japanese manga artist who publishes works primarily for Kodansha. He made his debut with Superfly in Kodansha's Monthly Shōnen Magazine. He is best known for his manga Drifting Net Cafe, The Flowers of Evil and Happiness. His works have been adapted into many different media including television drama, anime, and live action film. In 2001, he won the Tetsuya Chiba Award.

Oshimi's hometown is in the countryside of Kiryu, Gunma, which also served as the setting of his manga The Flowers of Evil. While growing up there, the main places he would visit were the riverbank, the stairs of his junior high school, and the bookstore. Oshimi currently resides in Tokyo.

Kōhei Horikoshi (堀越 耕平, Horikoshi Kōhei, born November 20, 1986) is a Japanese manga artist known for creating the manga series Ōmagadoki Dōbutsuen, Barrage and My Hero Academia, all of which have been serialized in Shueisha's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump. Horikoshi is a graduate of Toho High School and Nagoya University of Arts and is a native of Aichi Prefecture. He was a former assistant for Yasuki Tanaka, creator of the manga series Summer Time Rendering, Hitomi no Catoblepas and Kagijin.

Horikoshi stated that his favorite manga series as a child were Dragon Ball, One Piece and Naruto. He was also influenced by manga artist Yuko Osada (Toto!: The Wonderful Adventure). Horikoshi is also a fan of American superhero comic books, particularly Marvel Comics.

Eiichiro Oda is a Japanese manga artist and the creator of the series One Piece (1997–present). With more than 516.6 million tankōbon copies in circulation worldwide, One Piece is both the best-selling manga in history and the best-selling comic series printed in volume, in turn making Oda one of the best-selling fiction authors. The series' popularity resulted in Oda being named one of the manga artists that changed the history of manga.

Inio Asano is a Japanese manga artist. Asano created the acclaimed manga series Solanin, which was released as a feature film in Japan in April 2010, starring Aoi Miyazaki. He is also famous for the series Goodnight Punpun and Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction.

Tsugumi Ohba is the pen name of a Japanese manga writer, best known for authoring the Death Note manga series with illustrator Takeshi Obata from 2003 to 2006, which has 30 million collected volumes in circulation. The duo's second series, Bakuman. (2008–2012), was also successful with 15 million in circulation. In 2014, Ohba collaborated with My Little Monster creator Robico for the one-shot "Skip! Yamada-kun". Another series with Obata, Platinum End, was serialized in the monthly Jump SQ from November 4, 2015, to January 4, 2021.

Yusei Matsui (松井優征, Matsui Yūsei) is a Japanese manga artist. He was an assistant of Yoshio Sawai, the manga artist of Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo. Three of his manga Neuro: Supernatural Detective, Assassination Classroom, and The Elusive Samurai were serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump. Neuro was adapted into an anime television series, as well as Assassination Classroom which was also adapted into two live action films. His favorite manga series include Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and Kinnikuman. In episode 25 of the Neuro anime, he has a cameo voice as a manga artist.

Miki Yoshikawa (吉河 美希, Yoshikawa Miki) is a Japanese manga artist best known for her manga series Flunk Punk Rumble, Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches and A Couple of Cuckoos and their accompanying anime series. Her debut work was a one-shot called Glory Days in Kodansha's Magazine Special. She assisted Hiro Mashima on Rave Master and Fairy Tail. In 2005, she released the comedy one-shot Flunk Punk Rumble in Shonen Magazine Wonder, which was later made into a short series and eventually publicized in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine from 2006 to 2011, with a total of 211 chapters. In 2012, she released Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches, which has to date sold over 3 million copies, and was adapted into a live-action drama series and a TV anime series. In 2015, Yoshikawa attended Anime Expo as a guest.

Naoshi Arakawa (Japanese: 新川 直司, Hepburn: Arakawa Naoshi) is a Japanese manga artist, known for his work Your Lie in April.

Naoshi Arakawa grew up in the countryside of Japan with an older brother. They used to get manga magazines like Weekly Shōnen Jump and Monthly Shōnen Magazine often, so he was exposed to manga from a young age. That, along with his love for Fist of the North Star and Kinnikuman was what ultimately made him decide to become a manga author. However, he elected not to tell anyone due to the conservative nature of his hometown and his shy personality.

After getting advice from a friend at college, Naoshi Arakawa decided to enter for the Monthly Shōnen Magazine Grand Challenge. The one-shot he submitted would become the basis for Your Lie in April. Afterwards, he then worked as an assistant before making his serial debut with the manga adaptation of A School Frozen in Time. It ran in Monthly Shōnen Magazine from December 2007 to April 2009, and was published in four volumes. At the time, he was also working on a one-shot manga prototype, which would eventually become his second serial, Sayonara, Football. It ran in Magazine E-no from June 20, 2009 to August 20, 2010, and was published in two volumes.

Tatsuki Fujimoto (Japanese: 藤本 タツキ, Hepburn: Fujimoto Tatsuki, born October 10, 1992 or 1993) is a Japanese manga artist, known for his works Fire Punch and Chainsaw Man.

Fujimoto was born on October 10, 1992 or 1993, in Nikaho, Akita Prefecture, Japan. He started drawing at an early age. He had no preparatory schools available near his home, so he went to painting classes in which his grandparents attended and practiced oil painting. He graduated in Western painting from Tohoku University of Art and Design in Yamagata, Yamagata Prefecture in 2014.

In 2011, Fujimoto drew his first submitted one-shot work, Niwa ni wa Niwa Niwatori ga ita (庭には二羽ニワトリがいた, "There Were Two Chickens in the Garden"), which was nominated for the December Jump SQ. Monthly Award (it was later published on the Shōnen Jump+ online platform on July 17, 2017). Fujimoto's one-shot, Seigi no Mikata (正義の見方, "Sense of Justice"), was an entry work for the 10th Supreme Comic Grand Prize season II in 2013. His next one-shot work was Kami Hikōki (かみひこうき, "Paper Planes"), for which he won a Jury Special Award at the 3rd Shueisha's Crown Newcomers' Awards in 2013. Fujimoto's next one-shot work was Sasaki-kun ga Juudan Tometa (佐々木くんが銃弾止めた, "Sasaki Has Stopped the Bullet"), for which he won his second Jury Special Award at the 5th Shueisha's Crown Newcomers' Awards in 2013 (later published on Shōnen Jump+ on June 13, 2016).

Atsushi Ōkubo (Japanese: 大久保 篤, Hepburn: Ōkubo Atsushi, born September 20, 1979), also romanized as Atsushi Ohkubo, is a Japanese manga author and fantasy artist known for his work on the manga series Soul Eater and Fire Force, both of which have been adapted into anime. Okubo worked as an assistant under Rando Ayamine, on the manga series GetBackers. He also created some artworks for the video game TCG Lord of Vermilion, as well as some character designs in Bravely Default and Bravely Second: End Layer.

Ōkubo was not a model student and was more attracted to drawing than to learning. At the age of 20, after finishing studies at a manga school where he met Rando Ayamine, the artist of GetBackers, he became Ayamine's assistant for two years. Finally, he won a competition at Square Enix's Gangan magazine with his first manga series B. Ichi and it was published in four volumes. After the end of his last manga, he created Soul Eater, still for Gangan, which brought him worldwide success. After that, he explored a little bit more of Soul Eater's world in Soul Eater Not!, a side-story to the main series that ended in 5 volumes. In 2015, he started working on Fire Force, published in Weekly Shōnen Magazine, making it the first weekly manga Ōkubo has done. In May 2020, Ōkubo announced that Fire Force will be his final manga.

One or Tomohiro is the pseudonym of a Japanese manga artist, who is best known for his web manga series One-Punch Man, which was later remade into a digital manga illustrated by Yusuke Murata. One serializes the One-Punch Man webcomic on his own website under no official publisher, while the manga remake is serialized in the web version of Weekly Young Jump. His other well-known series, Mob Psycho 100, was serialized in the online version of Weekly Shōnen Sunday, Ura Sunday.
