Ben Rehder is an Austin-based author of mysteries, most notably his work titled "Blanco Country". His debut novel was widely praised with starred reviews in Publishers Weekly and the Library Journal. It was also an Edgar Award finalist.

He graduated from the University of Texas in 1986, and then entered the field of advertising.

The Blanco County series centers on the exploits of John Marlin, a game warden who is often reluctantly drawn into homicide investigations. In addition to serving as mysteries, the series is also a humorous look at the hunting culture of Texas, in a satiric, madcap style akin to Carl Hiaasen and Tim Dorsey.

William Rabkin is an American television producer, television writer and author.

He did his undergraduate work at the University of Washington in Seattle, then attended UCLA, where he did his MFA in screenwriting and was a part of the Daily Bruin student newspaper.

He has written for a number of notable television series namely Spenser: For Hire, Murphy's Law, Hunter, Baywatch, Diagnosis Murder, A Nero Wolfe Mystery, Haunted Lives: True Ghost Stories, Monk and many other series.

Nearly all of his television work has been collaborations with fellow writer and producer Lee Goldberg, whom he met when they were both UCLA students working on Daily Bruin. They first teamed up as writers on the unmade, feature film adaptation of Goldberg's novel .357 Vigilante, beginning a professional partnership that lasted for twenty years.

Lee Goldberg is an American author, screenwriter, publisher and producer known for his bestselling novels Lost Hills and True Fiction and his work on a wide variety of TV crime series, including Diagnosis: Murder, A Nero Wolfe Mystery, Hunter, Spenser: For Hire, Martial Law, She-Wolf of London, SeaQuest, 1-800-Missing, The Glades and Monk.

Paul J. Levine (born January 9, 1948) is an American author of crime fiction, particularly legal thrillers. Levine has written 22 mystery novels which include two series of books known by the names of the protagonists. The Jake Lassiter series follows the former football player turned Miami lawyer in a series of fourteen books published over a thirty-year span beginning in 1990. The four-book Solomon vs. Lord series published in the mid 2000s features Steve Solomon and Victoria Lord, a pair of bickering Miami attorneys who were rivals before they became law partners and lovers. Levine has also written four stand-alone novels and 20 episodes of the television drama series JAG. With JAG executive producer Don Bellisario, he also created and produced First Monday, a 2002 CBS series inspired by one of Levine's novels.

James Lee Burke is an American author, best known for his Dave Robicheaux series. He has won Edgar Awards for Black Cherry Blues (1990) and Cimarron Rose (1998), and has also been presented with the Grand Master Award from the Mystery Writers of America. The Robicheaux character has been portrayed twice on screen, first by Alec Baldwin and then Tommy Lee Jones.

Ruth Glick (née Burtnick; born 27 April 1942, in Lexington, Kentucky), is a writer of cookbooks, romance and young adult novels. She has written novels under the pseudonym Rebecca York; until 1997 these were written in collaboration with Eileen Buckholtz.

Ruth Day Burtnick was born on 27 April 1942 in Lexington, Kentucky, United States, the daughter of Lester Leon Burtnick, a psychiatrist, and Beverly Miller Burtnick, a middle-school science teacher. She was raised in Washington, DC, she earned a B.A. in American Thought and Civilization from George Washington University and an M.A. in American Studies from the University of Maryland. On 30 June 1963, she married Norman S. Glick, a mathematician for the Defense Department. They have two children: Elissa, a librarian, and Ethan, a Foreign Service Officer.

The Farm (2014) is a psychological thriller novel by Tom Rob Smith. Set in London and Sweden, it is Smith's fourth published work and his first standalone novel.
