This book was back to just being okay. I thought for a while there that this author was getting better at what she was doing, but I guess not. I guess only some characters are capable of any semblance of intelligence and usually only for one book rather than a continuous thing.Kyle was an idiot for not confessing things sooner to his friends, and he was an idiot for trying to pursue a relationship with a girl he would only end up killing if he got close enough to her, and he even knew that she'd already been with one of his kind previously, and she'd almost died for it. WTF?Also, why couldn't Kyle just be like, "Hey, people. I have a twin brother who is a real jerk, so just be aware and watch out for him because he may do some messed up stuff now and again." Instead, he just went with it and pretended he'd done all of that stuff. I can understand the audition thing, but the stupid stuff like going with the flirtations and douche-bag things that Kent was doing were things he should have made others aware were happening instead of saying they were all his doing.Also, Emily is an idiot. She should have stayed away from Kyle after all of the run-around she was getting with him. Ugh... I'm so glad I only have two books left in this series.
