A modern All-American family deals with the struggles of life and love in mid-western suburbia.

A group of aliens has come to Earth to learn about its population, customs, et cetera. To avoid detection, they have taken on human form, which gives them human emotions, physical needs, et cetera, without the understanding of what they mean nor the inhibitions normally present in humans. Their leader takes the position of a college professor, their military expert as his sister, their intelligence expert, supposedly the oldest of group, takes the form of his teenage son. The uninhibited reactions turn everyday events into unusual situations.

With a pay check that is lower than what the local beggar is earning, and with a wife and two children whose only interest is to rob him of his last cents, shoe-salesman Al Bundy is lucky if he can sit down in front of the TV with an ice-cold beer, or sneak out to the local Nudy bar every Tuesday night. Life isn't what it used to be when he was the star of the high-school football team, and when he scored four touch-downs in a single game.

The Winslow family is a pretty normal family except for one thing, their neighbor Steve Urkel. A genius and klutz, Steve makes some really weird inventions while driving the Winslows insane and having an unrequited crush on Laura, the Winslow's middle child.

It's not easy, but they are trying to do this step by step.

An offbeat, laugh track-lacking sitcom about a bizarrely dysfunctional family, the center of which is Malcolm, the middle of the two brothers who still live at home. His eldest (and favorite) sibling, Francis, boards at military school because his parents believe it will reform him and keep him out of trouble. Malcolm often has a hard time coping with his family life, but he has more troubles to contend with when he starts receiving special treatment at school after being diagnosed as an intellectually advanced genius.

The Dinosaurs are an animatronics stone-age working-class family created by Jim Henson for Disney. Incredibly overweight, even for a dinosaur, Earl Sinclair (Stuart Pankin) is married to Fran (Jessica Walter) and tries and fails to support fourteen-year-old valley girl Charlene (Sally Struthers), sixteen-year-old Robbie (Jason Willinger) (whose crest eventually turns into a mohawk and gets dyed purple), widowed, cranky Grandma Ethyl Phillips (Florence Stanley), and terrible-twos Baby Sinclair (John Kennedy and Kevin Clash), the true master of the house. Sharp social commentary was featured surprisingly often. Earl is a tree-pusher for the Wesayso Development Corp., which regularly implements schemes to screw their workers even more and destroy the world for marginal profit increment. Chilled, but live prey, are kept in the refrigerator and are helpful when you can't find the milk, and caveman humans make occasional appearances as wild animals and pets.

At school, they aren't very popular with girls, and they have enemies like Harley, Joey, and Frankie. They also get often in trouble with Mr. Feeny, the school's funny principal.
