An adaptation of the novel Old Cat, by Ni Kuang. A cat from outer space teams up with a young alien girl and her knight, along with an adventure novelist named Wisely, to fight a murderous alien that possesses people.

Six classmates receive an e-mail from Asuka; who supposedly committed suicide. Later that night they all get together in a classroom and are surprised by a person wearing a bloody rat mask. The costumed Rat quickly begins attacking them while screaming; this is revenge for Asuka's death.

Jiney is a talented student of Arts with a trauma in her childhood and lack of communication with her mother, and excellent photographer that is not satisfied with her awarded works. When she witnesses a car crash, she is driven by a morbid wish and takes pictures of the dead victim. She becomes obsessed with death, and her close friend Jas feels that Jiney needs help with her abnormal behavior and attraction. When Jiney supersedes her death wish, she receives a snuff video where a girl is tortured and killed in front of the camera. Jiney shows the tape to Jas, who questions the authenticity of the footage, and they believe it is a prank of their friend Anson. When the girls realize that it is not a joke of Anson, Jiney receives another tape with the message inviting her to take a look. When she sees the tape, she becomes scared with the sinister footage.

Gangsters smuggle it into HK, only to become instant zombie prey. One of the gang escapes with the bottle, but is run over by two young VCD sellers and wannabe petty criminals (Woody Invincible and Crazy Bee) returning to their mall shop in their bosses' car. Trying to revive him, they give him a drink of what they think is Lucosade. With him seemingly dead and unsure of what to do, they bring the corpse back to the mall with them in the boot of their car. They make the mistake of leaving the boot open. And, pretty soon, the mall is crawling with zombies. The odd couple and a bunch of other mall employees have to bond together to try and fight their way out.
