Mallory Knox were an English alternative rock band from Cambridge. In 2013, they released their debut album Signals which reached #33 in the UK album charts. Their second album Asymmetry was released on 27 October 2014 and reached #16 on UK Album Chart. They later released their third album Wired on 10 March 2017. Their fourth record, Mallory Knox, was released on 16 August 2019, after which they announced a farewell tour.

The band was formed in August 2009 by lead guitarist Joe Savins and drummer Dave Rawling, who were joined by vocalist Mikey Chapman, bassist Sam Douglas and rhythm guitarist James Gillett, completing the band's lineup. All members had previously been in different local bands. The band has stated their name originates from a character from the film Natural Born Killers, saying "We wanted a character name, preferably someone with a dark edge and dark side and we were going to go for Dorian Gray but at the time there was a cheesy Hollywood movie coming out of Dorian Gray so we went for Mallory because of that.".

Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness is the self-titled debut album released by American indie pop act Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, led by singer, songwriter, and pianist Andrew McMahon. The album was released on October 14, 2014, through Vanguard Records, led by the first single "Cecilia and the Satellite", officially released August 12, 2014.

The third Jack's Mannequin record People and Things was released in October 2011 through Warner Bros. imprint Sire Records. The album was made between 2009–2011, during which time there was a leadership change at Warner Bros. As a result, the album was recorded on three separate occasions. Throughout the making of the album, vocalist/pianist Andrew McMahon felt that it was time to move on to another project. He considered it the final part of the Jack's Mannequin story that was initially meant to only last for a single record. In February 2012, McMahon started dropping suggestions that the band's break up was imminent. Sometime afterwards, McMahon ended his partnership with Warner Bros. due to creative differences, and left his management. He took a step back from the music industry, moved out of Los Angeles to San Clemente, and spent his time focussing on his marriage, mental health and confidence.

Blackbird Raum is a folk punk band from Santa Cruz, California, formed in 2004. They are well known for their frantic live shows and anarchist politics. They have toured Europe, the Continental US and Alaska.

Blackbird Raum was formed in 2004 by banjoist C.P.N and accordionist Zack while wilderness squatting in Santa Cruz, California. The band was haphazard at first, playing gigs and busking with a band randomly composed of other squatters living in or around Santa Cruz. Initially the band was not a success, and they made their first dollar from a man on a date who paid them to leave. During this period, they wrote some of the songs that are considered their classic material, including "Honey in the Hair" and "Coal". They also recorded a demo. After some frustrations with chaotic nature of the lineup, C.P.N left Santa Cruz for a year to play in other projects. When he returned he and Zack agreed to try the band again and a lineup was cemented with the addition of K.C. on washboard, David on washtub bass and Mars on musical saw and mandolin. They quickly wrote new material and recorded what was to be their first album: Purse-Seine, named after the poem by Robinson Jeffers.

Robert Sarazin Blake is an American singer-songwriter hailing from Bellingham, Washington. Blake is generally considered a folk musician, though his music incorporates elements of traditional Celtic songwriters, modern punk rock, country, and blues all blended together with a heavy dose of improvisation. This melding of varying genres produces a "speed strumming style" that functions as a backdrop to Blake's narrative style of songwriting. Although Blake also writes songs centered on love and his personal life, his leftist-anarchist politics feature prominently in many of his works. Examples of this can be found in songs such as "Didn't We", "Culture of Resistance", and "Philadelphia"; all of which promote the values of an anti-consumerist and independent spirit. He is known for his extensive touring; often traversing the entire United States and Ireland for much of the year. Although such an exhaustive touring schedule occupies a lot of Blake's time, he also makes sure to spend a good part of his time in and around his hometown of Bellingham, WA, where he organizes and performs in the Subdued String Band Jamboree each year in addition to playing and recording at many of the local bars and clubs. In addition to his extensive touring schedule, which takes him to venues ranging from the venerable 924 Gilman Street in Berkeley, CA and the folk club The Tin Angel in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to garages and basements around the world, Blake also runs his own record label: Same Room Records.

Pat The Bunny; born Patrick Schneeweis in 1987, is a retired American musician. He has been the front man of notable folk punk and anarcho-punk groups Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains, Wingnut Dishwashers Union, and Ramshackle Glory. Originally based out of Brattleboro, Vermont, he lived in Tucson, Arizona during the final part of his musical career. His writing often describes topics such as life under capitalism, drug addiction, and the importance of pursuing radical ways of relating socially and economically usually through anarchism and DIY ethic. He retired from the anarcho-punk community in 2016.

Schneeweis was born in Brattleboro, Vermont. He has been playing music with his younger brother, Michael, for a long time. His father Charlie Schneeweis plays the trumpet.

Nana Grizol is an American indie folk band based in Athens, Georgia, signed to Orange Twin Records. In addition to frontman Theo Hilton, Nana Grizol features Laura Carter, Robbie Cucchiaro, Jared Gandy (Witches), drummer Matte Cathcart and Kate Mitchell, Ian Rickert, Patrick Jennings and Michael Schneeweis. Solo artist Madeline Adams also appears on Love It Love It.

"Good Time" is a 2013 single by Paris Hilton from her unreleased second studio album. It was released on October 8, 2013, by Cash Money as the lead single from the record. The song was written and produced by her and Afrojack, with additional songwriting provided by Hilton and Lil Wayne. A single release party was held at SBE's Create Nightclub in Hollywood on October 8. It's her third top 20 hit on the US Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs.

Hilton told Rolling Stone, "For me this song is so catchy and fun the way it moves from pop to a true dance number."

Upon its release, "Good Time" received negative reviews from music critics. Natasha Shankar of She Knows gave the music video, though not the song, a positive review, saying "So from a dance standpoint it's not half bad. But Hilton has some talent. She's not a Heidi Montag, folks. But I've been kind enough to include the music video, and not the single alone. Why? Because, at the very least, you get to watch Hilton's glorious figure and perfect pout for the next five minutes".

Too Tight Henry, born Henry Lee Castle (1899 – August 16, 1971) was an American blues musician, who recorded four songs for Columbia Records and Brunswick Records in 1928 and 1930.

Castle was born in Georgia in 1899. He played a twelve-string guitar, a common instrument with Georgia blues musicians at the time. Before moving to and residing in Memphis, Tennessee, he travelled and played music with contemporary blues musicians Blind Blake and Blind Lemon Jefferson. For a period of time in the 1930s, Castle also lived in Helena, Arkansas. In 1928, he recorded two sides for Columbia Records, a two-part song called "Charleston Contest", a song in which Castle talks to himself in different voices and brags about his ability on the guitar. In 1930, he recorded two more sides in Chicago, Illinois for Brunswick Records. These sides show a more relaxed side to Castle, and he is accompanied by a guitarist and a harmonica player.

He has been the front man of notable folk punk and anarcho-punk groups Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains, Wingnut Dishwashers Union, and Ramshackle Glory. Originally based out of Brattleboro, Vermont, he lived in Tucson, Arizona during the final part of his musical career. His writing often describes topics such as life under capitalism, drug addiction, and the importance of pursuing radical ways of relating socially and economically usually through anarchism and DIY ethic.

Plan-It-X Records (PIX) was an independent record label. Originally based in Georgetown, Indiana, PIX was based out of Bloomington, Indiana following brief stints in Olympia, Washington, Gainesville, Florida, and Cairo, Illinois. The label released folk punk and pop punk music, including Against Me!'s Crime As Forgiven By, other releases include albums by This Bike Is a Pipe Bomb, Defiance, Ohio, Ghost Mice, Japanther, The Bananas, Operation: Cliff Clavin, and Antsy Pants and Fifteen.

Founded in 1994 by Samantha Jane Dorsett, Plan-It-X held a DIY punk ethic. The label sold all CDs for five dollars or less. PIX's slogan reads: "If it ain't cheap, it ain't punk". PIX attempted to demonstrate that the practices of major record labels do not need to be duplicated by independent record labels in order to be successful. They supported other small labels and encourage others to do so as well (and even go as far as to suggest starting your own label).

Paul Baribeau is an American folk punk singer-songwriter from Grand Ledge, Michigan. He was signed to the independent record label Plan-It-X Records. His self-titled debut album was released on Plan-It-X Records in January 2004. In 2006, he embarked on a tour with Ginger Alford of Good Luck in which they collaboratively covered Bruce Springsteen songs. They subsequently released an album on No Idea Records, Darkness on the Edge of Your Town Tour, which contains studio and live versions of these covers. His second album of original material, Grand Ledge, was released on Plan-It-X Records in June 2007. Grand Ledge was recorded in a barn belonging to a friend of Baribeau's father, in Grand Ledge, Michigan. Baribeau's most recent album under his own name, Unbearable, was released on No Idea Records on March 10, 2010.

"Asking for It" is a song by American rock band Shinedown. It was their third single off of their fifth album Threat to Survival. It peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart in 2016.

The Max Levine Ensemble is an American DIY punk band from the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. They play punk rock with various pop influences, and often have politically conscious lyrics. They used to have a rotating band roster that changed from tour to tour depending upon who could go. Though at one point they played regularly with 5-7 members, they generally play now as a three piece power trio consisting of David Combs, Ben Epstein, and Nick Popovici.

Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers & Bastards is a limited edition three CD set by Tom Waits, released by the ANTI- label on November 17, 2006 in Europe and on November 21, 2006 in the United States.

The album is divided into three sections, with each disc being a separate collection in its own. It borrows from Tom Waits’s rock sound, with the first disc being blues and rock-based, the second centred on slow-tempo, melancholic ballads, and the third on more experimental compositions. Additionally, the record contains influences of other genres, including folk, gospel, jazz and roots music. Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers and Bastards received universal acclaim from critics, who lauded its experimentation and composition, as well as Waits's vocals. It was listed as one of the highest-scoring albums of the year in Metacritic, and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Folk Album. Furthermore, it was a fair commercial success, charting in the United States Billboard 200, as well as in Australia, Switzerland and Austria, reaching the top twenty in the latter.
