A young boy sells his soul to a demon in order to avenge his family's death and successfully lead their influential toy manufacturing company. The demon takes the form of a loyal butler who's always dressed in black and is required to protect, serve and arrive whenever summoned by his young master Ciel.

Garo focuses on Kouga Saezima, the current possessor of the title, Golden Knight Garo, who protects humanity against dark demonic infestations called Horrors. One day he meets a young girl named Kaoru whom he saves from a horror, but gets stained with horror's blood. The makai knights have the rule that those that have been stained by the blood of a horror shall be executed before experiencing a painful death after approximately 100 days.

Allen Walker, a young Exorcist with a cursed eye that can see the suffering of the Akumas created by The Millenium Earl, travels to England to the Headquarters of the exorcists, the Black Order, where his Master, General Cross Marian, has sent him to meet with the other exorcists. He battles the Millenium Earl and the Noah Family (which has sided with the Earl) alongside Yuu Kanda, Leenalee Lee, and Ravi, (fellow exorcists) as well as others. Along with his team, he travels the world fighting Akuma and searching for Innocence, the Anti-Akuma weapon exorcists use.

The story first starts off around Favaro Leone who is a bounty hunter, collecting money off of bounties he collects (demons). Favaro Leone soon runs into Amira who has no clue what is really going on besides the fact that she must go to "Hellheim", a place where she can go meet her mother. Favaro Leone is then dragged onto this whole quest with her because she had cast a "contract spell" where he now has a demon tail and the only way to get it off is by completing his side of the deal.

Guts, "The Black Swordsman", is pursued by demons who are attracted to him, due to a demonic brand on his neck. His goal is to free himself, and his lover Casca, of this inescapable curse. His other life's goal is gain vengeance on his former best friend Griffith, who doomed him and his former Band of Mercenaries, to obtain demonic powers of his own. Gut's giant "Dragon Slayer" sword, the Elf Puck and a growing band of misfit companion aid him in his quest for vengeance.

In Tokyo, an impenetrable field known as "Hell's Gate" appeared ten years ago. At the same time, psychics who wield paranormal powers at the cost of their conscience also emerged. Hei is one of the most powerful of these psychic agents, and along with his blind associate, Yin, works for one of the many rival agencies vying to unlock the mysteries of Hell's Gate.

Michael Westen, a seasoned U.S. spy, is suddenly "burned", i.e. discredited, without any form of procedure. He survives by doing impossible jobs for desperate people in Miami, where his mother lives. Michael is usually aided by his ex-girlfriend Fiona and trusted former FBI informer Sam.
