Alexandra Bracken (born 27 February 1987, Phoenix, Arizona) is a #1 New York Times bestselling American author known for The Darkest Minds series and Passenger series.

Alexandra Bracken was born in Phoenix, Arizona. She returned there later in life after having lived in New York City for many years. In New York City, she worked in the children's publishing industry, first as an editorial assistant, then in marketing. She graduated from Chaparral High School in 2005, and attended The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, graduating magna cum laude with a degree in History and English in May 2009.

Meyer received the 2009 Children's Book of the Year award from the British Book Awards for Breaking Dawn, the Twilight series finale.

Yancey wrote his first short story in seventh grade while attending Crystal Lake Junior High School in Florida. After graduating from Lakeland Senior High School, he was accepted to Florida Southern College and majored in Communications. After a year at Florida Southern College, Yancey transferred to Florida State University and ultimately graduated from Roosevelt University with a B.A. in English.
