An ex-special agent CHA Tae-shik's only connection to the rest of the world is a little girl, So-mi, who lives nearby. Pressure rapidly grows as alliances are tested and she learns that in the spying game you cannot really trust anyone.

Laconic and self-contained, Edward Wilson (Matt Damon) heads C.I.A. covert operations during the Bay of Pigs. The agency suspects that Fidel Castro was tipped, so Wilson looks for the leak. Back for a second season, Secret City returns 2 years later after Harriet Dunkley spends time in a Federal Prison. There is of course another political web of deceit and a whole conspiracy for Harriet Dunkley to uncover. As the plot thickens and the pieces begin to fall into alignment, the season builds up to a climactic, but somewhat thought-provoking, highlighting dangers around technology and our own perceptions of war.

In the near future, Norway is occupied by Russia on behalf of the European Union because the newly-elected environmentally-friendly Norwegian government has stopped the all important oil- and gas-production in the North Sea.
