Helen Lyle is a student who decides to write a thesis about local legends and myths. She visits a part of the town, where she learns about the legend of the Candyman, a one-armed man who appears when you say his name five times, in front of a mirror. Of course, Helen doesn't believe all this stuff, but the people of the area are really afraid. When she ignores their warnings and begins her investigation in the places that he is rumored to appear, a series of horrible murders begins. Could the legend be true?

Meanwhile, captured terrorist Thodin (Barry Bostwick), due for public execution, escapes with his gang's help, and causes chaos, setting into motion Tweedle's accidental theft of Lexx and new ownership of the hand-key, Zev's escape with her new body and the characteristics of a giant reptilian attack worm, but before mind-wipe (which goes instead to a robot head), and Kai's release to combat the terrorists before his memory returns. Tweedle, Zev, the lovesick robot head, Kai, and the stolen tyrants' brains head off in Lexx to vaporize tyrant planets and find a place for themselves in the Dark Universe, while searching for a supply of proto-blood before Kai expires.

From the one episode that I watched the introduction of (on Retro TV, currently 10 pm Saturday evenings during their SciFi line-up), it appears that this show is like the oldie that Elvira used to host in another big TV market. Just like Elvira did, "Svengoolie" hosts, introduces, ridicules and otherwise shares movies with his viewing friends. In other words, "Son of Svengoolie" was the local movie show, which evolved into "Svengoolie," the FOX network version.

On a redeye flight to Boston from Los Angeles, 10 people wake up to a shock: All the passengers and crew have vanished. When they try to contact the ground they make no connections. They land the plane only to discover that things haven't changed, but it's like the world is dead. Nobody's there, the air is still, sound doesn't echo, the food is tasteless, and a distant sound comes closer and closer. A race of monstrous beings bent on their destruction is heading for them, eating everything in sight.

Within the course of one hour 5 stories are shown. None of these stories have any logical explanation, and some of them actually occurred. You are left to decide which of these stories, if any are fact, and which are fiction.
