Per Nilsson is a Swedish guitarist and producer. He is best known as one of the founding members of the melodic death metal/progressive metal band Scar Symmetry and for being the touring lead guitarist for Meshuggah during Fredrik Thordendal's 2017-2021 hiatus. He is also the guitarist for Swedish progressive rock group Kaipa and since 2017 he is the lead guitarist for Swedish power metal band Nocturnal Rites.

"Many Shades of Black" is a song by the band The Raconteurs. It appears as the eighth track on their second album, Consolers of the Lonely. It is second single from the album and was made available in 7" vinyl format. The cover art depicts Mary Todd Lincoln or Abraham Lincoln depending on the way the inner sleeve is turned. The track is also available as downloadable content for the music video game Rock Band 2.

The release of the single contains a version of the song performed by British singer Adele. Adele has performed this song live several times, including during her An Evening with Adele tour and it was included in the deluxe edition of her 19 album. The Adele version was featured in the ending of 90210 episode "Wild Alaskan Salmon" (episode 6, season 2).

Tesseract are an English progressive metal band from Milton Keynes. The band, formed in 2003, consists of Daniel Tompkins, Alec "Acle" Kahney, James Monteith, Amos Williams and Jay Postones. The band is currently signed to Kscope. They are credited as one of the bands to pioneer the djent movement in progressive metal. As of 2022, Tesseract have released four studio albums: One, Altered State, Polaris and Sonder, as well as two live albums, Odyssey/Scala and Portals, and the extended plays Concealing Fate, Perspective and Errai.

There seems to be disagreement about how djent began. Djent started on www.tandjent.com/meshforum around 2005 when Bulb, Chimp Spanner, Vildhjarta, TesseracT, and Fellsilent all started uploading clips. Both the website and the named bands need to be reflected in the article. 94.245.127.15

Those subgenres listed in the 'stylistic origins' section are probably the main sources of the movement's development, but is it worth including a section describing the range of stylistic influences incorporated by different bands? E.g. Some are more heavily influenced by metalcore/deathcore than others, some veer towards tech-death, some may be classed as post-hardcore and industrial, etc. It just seems to me that there's too much variety within the movement to sum it up so simplistically.86.150.137.196 (talk) 00:28, 14 March 2011 (UTC)

Hey, this is Ant_Smusher here. You may ask yourself, "WTF is up with this guys username?" and here's why. I was eating at my desk a lot and left the dirty plates and cups beside my computer desk. Well, let's say it was an old house with an ant problem, so I'd sit there all hours on the computer smushing countless numbers of ants. This was around the time I was starting my Wiki account and couldn't think of a very good name, so I though, "I'm smushing ants... Ant_Smusher!

My first contribution was on the 2008 in heavy metal music page. I wanted to add some bands i knew had been releasing albums I knew about, but weren't getting on this list. So I decided I was going to help this Wiki page along by contributing when I can to each consecutive year. 2009 in heavy metal music I helped the whole year, battled off some punkers adding Harcore Punk and AC/DC to the heavy metal lists, and then started the 2010 in heavy metal music page. This page is going absolutely smoothly, except for some rabid Post-Harcore fan spamming the list with bands that aren't Heavy Metal... *sigh*

Means End was formed in late 2011 by bassist Rasmus Hemse and drummer Christian Schreil (previous member of Uneven Structure). They were later joined by acclaimed vocalist and Microsoft guru Robert Luciani (previous member of Vildhjarta) and fusion guitarist Leonard Eastgrove. Alestorm are a Scottish heavy metal band formed in Perth, Scotland. Discovered by Karl Ludwig Harding, probably before 1824, this object is one of the closest to the Earth of all the bright planetary nebulae. The distance, measured by the Gaia mission, is 655±13 light-years. Local Natives is an American indie rock band based in Silver Lake, Los Angeles. The band consists of Taylor Rice (vocals, guitar), Kelcey Ayer (vocals, keyboards, guitar), Ryan Hahn (guitar, backing vocals), Matt Frazier (drums) and Nik Ewing (bass).

Their debut album, Gorilla Manor, was first released in the UK in November 2009, and later released in the US on February 16, 2010. The album received mostly positive reviews and debuted on the Billboard 200 and at No. 3 in the New Artist Chart. Their second album, Hummingbird, was released in January 2013. Their third album, Sunlit Youth, was released in September 2016. Their fourth album, Violet Street, was released April 2019.

The band came together in Orange County, where Kelcey Ayer, Ryan Hahn, and Taylor Rice attended Tesoro High School. One year after graduating college at UCLA, they were joined by bassist Andy Hamm and drummer Matt Frazier. In December 2008, they all moved to a house in Silver Lake and started work on their debut album.

X, also known as X/1999, is a Japanese manga series created by Clamp, a creative team made up of Satsuki Igarashi, Nanase Ohkawa, Tsubaki Nekoi, and Mokona. It premiered in Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Asuka shōjo manga magazine in May 1992 and ran there until it went on hiatus in March 2003; it has yet to be concluded. The story takes place at the end of days in the year 1999. The series follows Kamui Shiro, a young esper who returns home to Tokyo after a six-year absence to face his destiny as the one who will determine humanity's fate.

Corelia was an American heavy metal band from San Diego, California, United States. The band was managed by Outerloop Management until October 2016 and have released two EPs, Nostalgia (2011), and Nostalgia (Instrumentals and Extras) (2012).

The band has been embroiled in controversy. In 2015, Corelia raised over $30,000 via crowdfunding platform Indiegogo in 2015. Since they produced no updates from late 2016 to mid 2020, Corelia was long believed to be disbanded, leaving the many contributors to their crowdfunding campaign disgruntled.

On April 11, 2020, an anonymous individual claiming to be a former member of the band (presumed to be Chris Dower), created a separate Facebook page titled "Corelias", and announced that he had a copy of the unreleased album and attempted to release it to the public on April 20, without the formal authorization of the remaining band members. Though it was revealed to be a hoax by someone unrelated to the band, Corelia initially believed it to be credible and made their first public comment in nearly four years. On April 21, the remaining band members released a second statement apologizing for the years of silence. They confirmed an unnamed band member had indeed quit, and promised they will do whatever they can to release whatever material they have finished, as well as compensate anyone who contributed to their crowdfunding campaign.
